Dennis is not a stupid guy.

How would you know, Donald? Beyond your realm of comprehension.

If Rodman succeeds in N. Korea, Trump will send Gary Busey to Tehran.

On Rodman's previous trip to North Korea:

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/03/donald-trump-praises-smart-dennis-rodman-trip-088364

Donald Trump is a fan of Dennis Rodman, calling the former NBA player “smart” for his recent trip to North Korea.

“You look at the world, the world is blowing up around us. Maybe Dennis is a lot better than what we have,” Trump said of Rodman, who is also a contestant on Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC, on Fox News on Monday.

He continued: “It’s not an act. But he’s a much different guy and this year on the Apprentice — it’s amazing how sharp and smart. Dennis is not a stupid guy. He’s smart in many ways; he’s very street-wise.”

Harry Reid would be better or Alec Baldwin, he's got a scary temper.

On a positive note, I doubt it is a complete coincidence that Dennis Rodman lands in North Korea on June 13, the same day that the North Koreans suddenly free American college student Otto Warmbier who may or may not have been in a coma for a year. Trump probably gave the final request for a medical evacuation but there was likely coordination between the two comps. So the Rodman visit may have been a factor in the negotiations, with the U.S with rep reminding the North Koreans it would be a nice time to carry it out. Of course this is all best guest conjecture.

yeah, all of you people who were laughing at Rodman and using it to make fun of Trump well.....look what happened.

Oh, have we moved on to correlation equals causation now?

US State Dept says Rodman did not help in North Korea release

http://www.wsaw.com/content/news/US-says-Rodman-did-not-help-in-NKorea-release-428297713.html

If Rodman did help, friend-of-Rodman Trump would had immediately tweeted the credit for it

Warmbier's parents already found out last week that he's in a coma - that's likely why North Korea sent him home - they don't want the diplomatic headache of keeping a comatose who's incarceration

Oh, have we moved on to correlation equals causation now?

Sure! Isnt it that Russia tried to interfere in the 2016 election with the help of Trump and his team (correlation) the reason Trump is President (causation)?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Isnt the idea that Russian collusion is the reason for Trump being president just as ridiculous as Rodman being the reason a prisoner is released? You will immediately believe what you are told about Rodman, yet wont believe a word you are told about lack of Russia collusion. The cause and effect relationship is at the same level of ridiculousness for both.

Rodman is ex KGB. I read that somewhere.

Asked if he had spoken to Trump about his trip, he said, "Well, I'm pretty sure he's pretty much happy with the fact that I'm over here trying to accomplish something that we both need."

And what would that be? Credibility?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Whole lot of justification there BlackLabel for a theory (that Rodman had anything to do with it) that ultimately turned out to be wrong - thereby justifying my comment about correlation and causation.

Trump is looking for a secret channel to communicate with Pyongyang and defuse tensions, of course they are not going to announce anything publicly. Even if only Koreans believe there was a back channel arrangement it could improve their perception of the situation.
