Let’s not forget the russian helicopter and troops blown up, and the Raptor vessels sunk and the landing craft obliterated with their crews. Also missile, anti aircraft units and radar bombed.
Ukrain made no effort to land troops or retake the island, just blow up the invaders..

Murdering children, yep that is about all they are good at. Not so much an army as war crimes R us.

Sad that the indiscriminate killing continue, and that the most other countries can do to stop it is just to show up for support.

In Putin's sadistic way of thinking, he has already won because he destroyed a lot of Ukraine's infrastructure (residential buildings, schools, hospitals, bridges, and government buildings) and Ukraine would be busy repairing the destruction for many many years. Putin achieved this at a huge cost of lost Russian lives, lost military equipment, and ruined economy - political costs at home are still evolving and Putin may not survive. If Finland and Sweden join NATO, security-wise it would be a net loss for Russia. Surprisingly bad performance of Russian military in the war has also hurt the image of Putin and Russia - now many people question if Russia is really a superpower. The West gained a lot but at the expense of Ukraine's sacrifices. Also, what happened in Ukraine sends a larger message to China for not even thinking about taking over Taiwan by military force. The Russian war on Ukraine has reaffirmed the saying that wars have unpredictable consequences.

Russia must be proud. The rest of the world is not. Karma is right around the corner. I have no tears for what will happen to Russia.

In past wars we did not have the technolgy to be precise so there were many civilian casualties. As technology progressed we reached a point of being able to target military assets with at least an effort to minimize what we euphemistically labeled "collateral damage". Sometimes a civilian target would get hit unintentionally by error and an investigfation and apology would be forthcoming,
In contrast, the Russian military are barbaric animals. deliberately targeting schools, hospitals, shopping malls,. train stations, locations that are not military targets and increase the odds of civilian casualties. Russia is guilty of War Crimes under the Law of Armed Conflict.

The suffering would stop today if V. Putin ordered his troops to stop trashing a neighboring nation and pull back to the border. Anyone who loves their country would do the same to stop the blatant land grab.
Stop the invasion, stop the killing, stop the emptying and flattening of cities, towns and villages, stop the ethnic cleansing, stop the violence and repression. Just go home.
OK there were some neo-Nazi type groups, and some grievances to address, but this is total overkill.
This is the truth, using no political language.

The present war in Ukraine would never have accrued if Ukraine had remained a nuclear power.

More sufferings and innocent lives unnecessarily lost, and seemingly Putin still in power, still getting lots of money for gas and oil.
Biden promises 'brutal' and 'inconceivable' sanctions and consequences for Russia if invasion go ahead. Meaningless words that gets less and less meaningless as another day passes.
Ukrainian lives is keeping Germans warm, that is how pathetic the picture is.

Another school?! Again?! More dead kids?!
Another war crime on a pile of other nasty war crimes, but the Russians don’t care and they just laugh it off.
Fighto!
Tragic, sickening and cowardly - but that is what Russians do. As previously confirmed by MSF and other independent bodies, Russians have been targeting hospitals- so in their immoral, disgusting thinking, why not schools.
Russians are war criminals, from shaky Putin down.
Harry_Gatto
It needs to stay that way for a very long time too. Moreover, Russia needs to be made to pay for the reconstruction of the Ukraine.

Maybe it’s not such a good idea for women and children to take shelter in schools or hospitals. Russia seems to enjoy bombing such targets.
Russia did the same thing in Syria.

If anyone has not yet seen the low level of credibility coming out of "Ukrainian officials", they have not been paying attention. And, given that the Uke azovs have been attacking and making war on the East for eight years and have no doubt killed any number of the children of "traitors", we cannot REALLY say who is doing what to whom with any certainty. The article mentions "rubble" of the 'school' but all that is visible in the accompanying image is what appears to be a big hole some distance from an intact building with its windows blown out. And, whereas presumably the Russian troops actually know how to use their weapons, with the more modern weapons supplied to the Ukes we have no reason to believe they understand how to properly employ, and especially, aim them. And Russia has way more to lose from 'misinformation' and zelenskyy's gang way more to gain notwithstanding we are NEVER allowed to hear what Russia says anyway except as interpreted by Washington or Kiev or the pandering Western media.
Regarding the previously abandoned 'steel complex', go to Google Maps and search 'azovstal'. Using 'street view', you will see points light up where someone has made 360° images of the local terrain and, opening them, you WILL see MUCH rubble albeit, if you check, you will see that the images were made in 2018 and 2019 well before the Russians had yet set tread into Ukraine. Again, this is a Civil War between the eastern provinces who just want freedom from the corrupt rightwing central government, which took power with CIA assistance in 2014, and has been ongoing for years. the rightwing side signed an agreement in 2014 that the eastern provinces, WHILE STILL REMAINING UKRAINE, would become special administration districts not directly controlled by Kiev but Kiev had no intention of honoring those agreements and began attacking the east almost immediately. But, of course, mindlessly buying anything one's official 'voices' tell them is so much easier than doing the simple work of fact checking the stories or even remembering the stories that, so often here, later are admitted to be untrue. As so many Americans might say, and what they do: "I don't trust the U.S. government...(but I believe everything it says...)". [sigh]

One country invading another country clearly falls outside the definition of a "civil war".

Not very good at reading, are you? The caption to the photo you are complaining about says clearly that it's a crater after a Russian airstrike in Kostyantynivka, in the Donetsk region.
Read the article and you will learn that the school where the orcs killed upwards of 60 civilians was located in the eastern village of Bilohorivka, which is in the Luhansk district, some 60 km distant.
If you want photos of what used to be a school sheltering civilians and is now a pile of burning rubble, try here; - https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-61369229

The present war in Ukraine would never have occured if Russia had not invaded Uktraine.

Absolutely disgusting the west would risk the lives of billions in the world dealing with a border war between two Russian speaking countries that have been fighting for centuries. Joe Biden is easily the worst president in modern-day history as our media keeps up all the propaganda to the clueless zombies tuning in as well.
William Bjornson
A sad thing about the minds which condemn the Russians here is that they celebrate 'Taiwan', a 'part of China' for hundreds of years until invaded by Chiang Kai-Shek's corrupt military dominance running away from the mainland, which wants to be 'independent' from the central government, but who would celebrate the U.S. going to war if China attempted to do EXACTLY what Kiev is trying to do to the eastern provinces which, ALSO, do not want to be part of the central government. The two stories are an exact parallel but the 'thinking' is exactly schizoid.
In which case, the U.S, in Korea and Vietnam was EXACTLY Russia in Ukraine??
rainyday
So now you are defending what Russia is doing in Ukraine because you think the US was justified in what it did to Vietnam?
Interesting.
rainyday
A) Russia was the one that invaded, not the West.
B) These aren't two Russian speaking countries. Ukrainian and Russian are different.
C) Fighting started no earlier than 2014, which is not "for centuries". Before then the two were at peace with each other.

russian child murderers, your country will be forever tainted with these kids' blood!

They don’t care what you think or say. They want the whole northern Eurasian plate and Arctic and if that’s not possible now , then at least the size of former USSR. The rest in the South would also be nice for them, but that’s not possible as India and China are much higher populated and nuclear armed so they are kept as allies or neutral supporters. It’s all about the resources over and under the Earth, or easier wheat, gas, oil and coal etc., surely not about some details like civilians under a school building, fighters in a ruined steel factory or less American burgers due to closed shops. And of course the nearer the big goal, the less boycott consequences, more hiding of war crimes and bigger GDP for then inside bigger country reconstruction are possible. You see, they cannot other than going on, and the rest of us cannot other than stop them quickly in their obvious and bloody intentions.

Things have gone badly for the Russian military in so many ways, after at least 10+ years of modernisation? Billions spent! It now after seventy years regress to WW2 tactics? What were/are they thinking? And the propaganda they spew is so base. But as many tell us we don’t see the Russians side of things?, do the Russian people see the western side of things? No because that’s 15 years in jail. A free media is the best defence against totalitarian states.

Ukraine says Russia bombing school a "war crime" as 60 feared dead:
How many of those 90 people sheltered are civilians? How many are soldiers?
If all are civilians, it constitutes an unfortunate war-crime.
If most are soldiers, it does not.
The rest could be 'human shield'..
Strangerland
That's loser thinking. This is all on Putin. You can't make someone invade a sovereign nation and murder its citizens. You can only decide to invade another nation and murder its citizens.
People raised with morals can see this clearly. Others had poor parenting.
The Avenger
Every so often it helps us to remember that evil people exist. We are seeing that now.

All people make a logical error. Responsibility for Russia's invasion of Ukraine lies with Western countries. I really think this kind of person is ridiculous.
