On the news this am, on my drive into work, I heard the announcer say that the 2 year old at 1600 Pen. Ave received a "beautiful" letter from Xi, asking him so sweetly if the he and Xi could work things out.

What the hell is up with Trump? This isnt a game, and you make it sound like you got a love letter!

It's reasonable to level the playing field with china.

Please tell me you're joking. Please, please, please.

Trump is easier to play than a 1 hole flute. Speak nicely of him, tell him how smart he is, especially stress his strength and he will be putty in your hand.

I wish I were!

“He just wrote me a beautiful letter. I’ve just received it and I’ll probably speak to him by phone,” Trump said. Later he quoted Xi as saying in the letter: “Let’s work together let’s see if we can get something done.”

Didn't anyone else learn win-win or no deal?

Western companies are mainly to blame. They all complain about China, but won't go on the record out of fear of being locked out.

China has been using our rules against us since the 1970s. Some smart policy makers need to figure out a way to get China to play fair, across the board. I'm not hopeful. I know I'm not smart enough to create a policy like that which would be ok with 80% of the world. That's what it will take to actually get China to come around.

He should push back, even Schumer wants Trump to hang in. Trump should go for it, call their bluff.

Trump is right on this and he knows what hes doing. Finally the chinese have to deal with a president who is looking out for the interests of his people.

Yeah you got that right, "his people" the business community, because the "people" of America aren't getting much help from him!

Finally we are focusing on the important things and not the deficit.

China will blink. If they don't they're making a yuuuuuuuuuge mistake.

China will blink.

Sorry what was that you were crying, boy? Wolf?

If they don't they're making a yuuuuuuuuuge mistake.

If they don't, America will hurt as much as China, if not more.

This is a failure of epic proportions.

Trump is easier to play than a 1 hole flute.

That must be why he's hiking tariffs on China. lol

Biden's the one who would be easier to play than a one hole flute - he can't even acknowledge that China is an economic threat.

This is a failure of epic proportions.

Trade policy with China has been a failure of epic proportions for decades. We're finally doing something to rectify the situation.
