Iranian Islamic Revolution is what brought that modern country of the '60 down to the middle eve in 2018. It's good someone has the balls to take on the revolutionary guard...

The attackers could have been from Syria, seeking revenge for the military support Iran gived to Syria..

I was just talking to my Iranian co-worker yesterday about something like this. He was complaining about how corrupt the Iranian government and top officials (the Khamenei) were.
I told him one of two things is going to happen. The Iranian government will cause a war with due to interfering with the straight of Hormuz. Or the Iranians will say, "enough" and there will be a violent revolution from the inside to topple their regime because the government doesn't take care of it's people... It's too busy trying to enrich the corrupt and support war against Israel and then blaming the devil "west" for it's own corruption.
If ISIS is involved it's just going to end up being the same situation, different fundamentalist regime.
If it is the ANR, then it's some very ticked off Iranians... and I called it.

What Iranians probably don't need right now is someone not Iranian with no idea and "calling it". There is a chance that the present Iranian government will be challenged due to the current daily poverty for most Iranians, but what the political opposition definitely won't do is kill and injure their own population. This is the work of either pro-Daesh, or Mossad with the support of the CIA and the Saudis. The Shah was no better. Despite Iran showing it's oil revenue affluence under the Shah, the vast majority were living in poverty. No difference. One regime a friend of the west and Israel, the other calling itself an Islamic revolution.
The one thing that gives the current Iranian regime some credence is that it stands up to the USA and Israel. That is the one thing that I do not mind about the Iranian government. Unfortunately we have seen what good that has done to the likes of Cuba or Venezuela.

The ISIL is not Islamic and is not a state. They smugly take credit for every terroristic act or massacre like a bunch of schoolyard thugs. They are murderers, not Muslims.
Kuya 808
They are murderers, not Muslims.
Don't tell them that. The takfiri ideology that drives ISIS strongly maintains that they are the only true Muslims and anyone that isn't with them is marked for slaughter.

They're both. Not all Iranians are Muslim, and not all Muslims are violent, fundamentalist fanatics. But there is a majority that lean towards fundamentalism in their beliefs.
My Iranian co-worker for example claims to be Muslim, but is not a fundamentalist. He drinks alcohol, eats bacon... although not that often. He says the Iranian government (being a theocracy) tells people how to believe in Islam and their strict interpretation of it. he doesn't want to be told how to follow his religious beliefs.

That's what religion is supposed to be. I've worked with Muslims myself and they were pretty much OK people. Not all the females were hijabs either. There's different variations of Islam just like there are of Jews and Christians. People of all these 3 religions (and others) are generally alright. It's the fanatical crowds that give religions a bad name. The IRA and Westboro Baptist Church are not Christianity, Israel's government is not Judaism and ISIL and the Iranian and Saudi governments are not Islam.

I would tell them. Islam has the 10 Commandments too and one of them is 'You hall Not Kill'. Judging everybody but yourselves is wrong. ISIL has been killing everybody they could, including Muslims. And the very fact that they take credit for every terroristic act in the world (whether they had anything to do with it or not) reflects a very un-Islamic attitude. The Quran doesn't tell its readers to kill, maim, rape or blow up buildings.
