The openly and formally declared agenda of Hezbollah is to exterminate Israel, and they are up to it. Lebanon began to shower Israel with various types of rockets immediately in continuation with the massacre commited by the Palestinians. Nasrallah did not deny this: He was very proud, and smiled fro ear to ear. The Israeli population at the north had to flee away.

It now also turns out that Lebanon has also dug border-crossing tunnels.

Bibi has stated that he wants the Lebanese to be ‘free’

If so, then why is it that the IDF has hoisted an Israeli flag in Mansour al-Raz, Lebanese territory?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"Nasrallah had said that Hezbollah's missile and drone attacks against northern Israel, which began immediately after 7 October, were carried out in solidarity with the Palestinians."

They started on October 8th against the IDF military targets in Shebaa farms occupied territory. Perhaps Israel classifies this as Israel, but it is not. Israel then responded by striking against Southern Lebanon. Following which Hezbollah began strikes against other areas in the north of Israel.

This was over a period of weeks following October 7th.

Hezbollah did not attack civilian areas in Israel on October 7th or 8th. If it did then please provide evidence for this claim.

But that party sets the tone, and all the other parties are complicit.

It is a coalition government. It is divoded in leadership, thats what a coalition is. Do Ben Gvir or Smoltrich set the tone for Israels government and make all the other parties complicit in Israels crimes?

I accept your reluctance to provide any sources for your claims that Hezbollah attacked Israeli civilian targets on October 8th 2023 as a sign that they didnt happen.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

No, Hezbollah is just one party in a coalition government.

But that party sets the tone, and all the other parties are complicit.

That organization is the de-facto government of Lebanon

No, Hezbollah is just one party in a coalition government.

One name is Metula. Another name is Kiryat Shmona. There are many more names. We are talking about the entire northern part of Israel.

Thanks for the information. Could you please share a link to a news site about these attacks. I cant find anything.

Hezbollah*, not Lebanon. Lebanon is a country, Hezbollah is a political and military organization.

That organization is the de-facto government of Lebanon. It's agenda is supported by the majority of the Lebanese population.

Where are the other towns and villages targetted by Hezbollah on October 8th?

Shebaa farms is a very small disputed area

No, it is an occupied area.

The attack which Lebanon launched against Israeli villages and towns on October 8 2023 is not really related to this place.

By the way, a Yazidi girl who was kidnapped at 11 years old by ISIS and taken to Gaza where she was used as a sex slave, has just been rescued by the IDF and allowed to return to Iraq and her remaining family. Any respect for that at all?

By the way, 100% of Thai agricultural workers in Israel were sexually assaulted. And Israel just let it happen. How could anyone have respect for a place where this systematic abuse takes place?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

It has not, except in the world of islamist propaganda. And Hamas can end the current war at any time by surrendering and releasing the hostages.

Lol

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Lebanon attacked Israel on October 8 2023, a day after the grand massacre perpetrated by Hamas. There was no justification for the Lebanese attack against Israel. There is a full justification for the Israeli action aimed at stopping the aggression coming from Lebanon. Lebanon is being controlled and operated by the oppressive Mullah regime in Iran, which has vowed to exterminate Israel.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Chabbawanga

Israel has committed the same crimes 1000 fold every day for over a year, and they were committing them long before October 7th.

It has not, except in the world of islamist propaganda. And Hamas can end the current war at any time by surrendering and releasing the hostages.

Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese government.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Banthu

The Lebanese army, government or people, never attacked Israel.

Hizballah did, and the Lebanese government is unable to control them.

And "the Lebanese people" as one people do not exist. The country is deeply split between factions.

What justification does Netenyahu have for his full-scale unprovoked invasion of Lebanon?

It is NOT a "full scale invasion", and I would say 100,000 refugees and dozens of deaths from Hizballah rockets are a pretty valid "justification".

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

@Atilla

You deliberately misunderstand my position. I have never once claimed to support Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis or Iran.

According to Opertion Al Aqsq flood as provided by Hamas, the targets of the operation on October 7th were military bases with the intention of taking back military hostages to use as bargaining chips. Civilians were killed, but this was collateral damage. Many civilians took up arms against Hamas, which explains why so many Israelis killed were fighting aged men and members of security forces. Unfortunately women and children were killed, some brutally, but this was not the planned. The positioning of Reim and Nir Oz IDF bases guaranteed that there would be civilian casualties. As for the Nova dance festival, this was not part of the plan, and of course gunfights erupted between hamas and security forces at the festival.

This is the story according to Hamas. It is remarkably similar to the stories we hear from Israel about how they only target military targets, and all civilan casualties are simply the inevitable collateral damage.

I dont have a side in this conflict, but sitting on the sidelines i judge each side in the same way.

If Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran are evil, Israel is even moreso.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Chabba; Hamas and Hezbollah are learning that you don't poke a tiger in the azz if you don't have a plan for its teeth. The casualties in Gaza are terrible, but also preventable. Hamas chose to deliberately target innocent civilians in southern Israel, then retreat to hide behind their own people. What did they expect would happen?

Almost every house in Israel has a bomb shelter and a safe room. No houses in Gaza have them, in spite of the billions of dollars poured into the region. Why? Hamas won't permit them to be built. Hamas uses the bodies of Gazans as their shelter. Oh, and Hamas so-called 'leaders' also siphoned off a huge portion of the aid money and stole it to subsidize their lux lifestyles in Europe and Qatar.

And THESE are the people you think can lead a Free Palestine? Keep dreaming.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

really that naive? when you kill babies, decapitate innocent people, burn them alive, commit the most hideous massacre possible, and you still ask why they are named TERRORISTS?

Israel has killed hundred of babies. Israeli snipers have shot Gazan children in the head. Thousands burned and buried alive in missile strikes.

2 Israeli babies died on October 7th, and several dozen minors were killed also. In total about 150 Israeli women and children were brutally killed when Hamas attacked. Even without the made up stories of 40 beheaded babies and systematic sexual violence the attack was disgusting and should be condemned.

Israel has committed the same crimes 1000 fold every day for over a year, and they were committing them long before October 7th.

Israel is a terrorist state. It was founded on terrorism back in the days of the Stern Gang. Nothing changed.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

@Atilla

The situation in the Middle East would never have gotten this out of hand if all of the players had the same kind of military technology that Israel is provided with.

Israel has consistently fired missiles into Lebanon, Syria and Gaza for decades causing horrific number of civilian casualties, far more than any attacks by these "terrorists". Since their invasion in the 1980s, it is estimated that 10s of thousands of Lebanese civilians lost their lives at the hands of Israel. In the same time around 50 Israeli civilians have been killed by Hezbollah.

Israel is a terrorist state, just yesterday nethanyahu (small n) threatened the people of Lebanon with a fate the same as Gaza unless they carried out his political aims for him. Therefore the same rules that are applied to combat non-state terrorists should be applied to those who fight against Israel.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

@WoodyLee: "Why is it every time the Oppressed rises and rejects the oppressors he or she are called a Terrorist...?"

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Otherwise, why do they allow terrorists to flourish within their borders

Hezbollahs popularity is multifaceted. Their anti-Israeli occupation/invasion stance is hugely popular, which makes sense considering they were established as a reaction to Israels occupation of southern Lebanon. They are anti-extremist, fighting against ISIS in Syria. They are not just a military operation, but also a major political force in Lebanon, especially the south, where they provide crucial services such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. Remember that Lebanon has a historically weak political leadership, and years of economic hardship have meant that there are basically no social services for those who are in need. They also gave the previously marginalized Shia population a place in the political system. "Terrorist" is a label attached by Western powers to give them justification to bomb civilians.

Netenyahu's unprovoked full-scale invasion of Lebanon,

What a laugh. Playground self-destructed this summer?

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Kumagaijin; yet the world is OK with 55 ethno-religious states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation? Or the 22 member League of Arab States? Your selective outrage is very telling

Israel is doing God's work by eliminating the Iran backed terrorists who are infesting Lebanon. Once hezbollah and their ilk are room temperature, then hopefully Lebanon can enjoy peace and freedom. Otherwise, why do they allow terrorists to flourish within their borders?

.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Netenyahu's unprovoked full-scale invasion of Lebanon,

Ballistic missiles were fired into Israel prior to Israel's retaliation. One missile struck a playground with children playing soccer. 12 of those children were killed. If North Korea were to have fired ballistic missiles into Japan no one on here wouldn't consider that a provocation.

Iran is wasting money on this. The age of religious war is over.

You could say the same thing to Uncle Sam, he is wasting his money on Israel. The age of Zionism is ending. Global opinion does not support the ethno-religious state of Israel.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The age of religious war is over.

I wish but sadly it is not. Religions are still strong in some part of the world.

We need to pass the stupid phase to grow up as a specie.

Blatantly obvious the Israeli political and military leadership have lost their minds. Completely. Need to be stopped asap.

immediately following Hamas’ attack on Oct 7th, Hezbollah launched many rocket attacks on Northern Israel

Shebaa farms is an area of Lebanon occupied by Israel, where Hezbollah targetted Israeli military outposts.

Shocking what the world has come to. People are seriously openly rooting for terrorist extremists who would throw them off roofs for their beliefs.

Equally shocking to see people openly support ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, apartheid, imposed famine, as well as the deliberate targeting of children, foreign aid workers, and journalists.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Netenyahu's unprovoked full-scale invasion of Lebanon, which was supposed to over after a few days, has failed.

I wouldn't exactly call bombarding the north of Israel to the point of the specific region being uninhabitable with rockets for years on end "unprovoked". Not to mention that Hezbollah attacks are always indiscriminate in nature. Or doesn't it count for you because you think jews can't defend themselves?

Hezbollah speaker announced yesterday that they will start fighting Israel in the same manners and methods Israel is fighting them, meaning Hezbollah will start Targeting Civilians.

What are you talking about? Hezbollah has been targeting civilians for a bunch of years already. Moreover, a civilian structure is no longer protected if it houses ammunition, combatants, or other military objectives.

Maybe y'all should stop supporting terrorists, and maybe y'all should stop screaming genocide when Israel is defending itself against groups of people whose sworn public statement is the "elimination of Yahudy" and indoctrinate children into saying that their dream is to kill as many Yahudys as possible. This goes to show that Al-Jazeera sponsored tiktoks are no substitution for actual Middle East knowledge huh. Spoiler for the tiktok-deluded here: the whole Middle East detests these groups and wants these tyrants gone.

Shocking what the world has come to. People are seriously openly rooting for terrorist extremists who would throw them off roofs for their beliefs.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

’Start targeting civilians’? Hamas and Hezbollah’s often stated aim is the destruction of Israel - what did you suppose that means?!

3 ( +6 / -3 )

The Lebanese army, government or people, never attacked Israel.

What justification does Netenyahu have for his full-scale unprovoked invasion of Lebanon?

But regrettably the Lebanese army, government and people seem powerless to prevent terrorist Hezbollah from using Lebanon as a base to attack Israel.. As for the immediate ‘justification’ for Israel’s action, immediately following Hamas’ attack on Oct 7th, Hezbollah launched many rocket attacks on Northern Israel, threatening and displacing 10’s of 1000’s of Israeli civilians who 1 year later are still unable to return to their homes due to Hezbollah’s continuous aggression. In order to protect its people the Israeli government needs to suppress Hezbollah.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Why is it every time the Oppressed rises and rejects the oppressors he or she are called a Terrorist and or any other negative names and titles for fighting for his Freedom !?

History has shown us that no matter how long it takes INJUSTICE never wins, no matter how long it takes, or how many are killed, the struggle will continue unevaded until justice Prevails.

It has always been the case and the Palestinians are no different.

Maybe try again.

What justification does Netenyahu have for his full-scale unprovoked invasion of Lebanon?

Well, he and his Zionist friends believe that their God promised them a plot of land that belongs to other people who don't believe in the same God. This makes it alright for the Zionist to kill to get their promised land. Oh, and the world's only super power says its OK and even supplies the weapons to do so.

1.1 million Lebanese have been displaced with routes into Syria destroyed—more than 1,000 deaths.

Israel is cleaning up its neighborhood.

And October 7th was its wake up call.

In the beginning when Gaza being flattened last year is all about hostage right? After one year seeing what happen to Lebanon, looks there's a bigger goal.
