At 1:30 PM more people have already voted (1,746,709) today than in total in 2015 (1,467,229).
Polling stations close at 10:30 PM

It would be sadly ironic if China's crackdown on freedom extended to HK. All those 50 Cent voices who routinely try and shut down debate, would themselves be unable to post on forums like this.
Stay safe and free, Hong Kong.

vote Free and Independent Hong Kong. It can flourish and support itself without assistance from China.
Strangerland
I can't see any reference to an election then.
Also, you said 1.6 billion people voted for the CPP - does that include the 10-50 million people that died as a result of Mao's cultural revolution after 1949? And does it include the Chinese who had to flee the country and start the independent nation of Taiwan?
Also, you said 1.6 billion people had chosen the CPP - there were not 1.6 billion Chinese people in 1949.
I'm starting to think you don't know the real history of China, and in fact only know the propaganda lies the CPP has told you.
Good thing those of us here in free countries that aren't brainwashed by the CPP are here to be able to tell you the truth.
The truth is that 1.6 billion Chinese people are prisoners of a dictatorship that was never chosen by the people, and only represents the interests of the few hundred people in the CPP.

It's interesting trying to watch people who have never known or seen democracy trying to tell us what it is.
It's like watching a blind person describe the color green.

Correction: at 2:30 PM Hong Kong time (not 1:30 PM)

Vote NO for communism!

Akie:
When did the mainland Chinese actually have choice in the one-party system?
Akie
WilliB, said "Or were you praising Taiwan? In that case, I might agree with you."
I can't be against 1.6 billion northeast asians, they all choose Beijing govt as the leader.
Bugle Boy of Company B
So, China is succeeding in making the citizens tired of the protests. Then they (citizens of HK) will willingly vote to accept communist China because it means no more protests.
Sad news.
Akie
Strangerland said "Really? When was this supposed election of the CCP?"
1949 when the new China was founded, and when the Chinese people stand up.
