Again, for those uneducated conservatives; the major difference between 'absentee voting' and 'universal mail-in voting' was the application which was needed to be filled in stating an excuse for not voting in person. However, because of the COVID-19 situation, most places have rescinded that excuse, thus making it easier for people to vote. This in effect has made absentee voting and mail-in voting virtually the same.

What Trump is doing is basically handcuffing the Postal Service in being able to deliver ballots to both systems. But that is Trump's strategy all along, isn't it? Whatever the outcome of the election is, he can just blame it on the Postal Service, or lack thereof. He needs to create a scapegoat, just like when he says "If I lose, it must have been rigged".

Also, let's not forget that Trump himself has voted by mail before.
