Rodong Sinmun sounds like the equivalent of shouty outlets InfoWars or Breitbart.

As disgusting, low, uncouth, and unintelligent as the president of the USA may be, and even though Trump envies dictators with the ability to put people to death at will without due process, this is typical, revolting ranting from one of the foulest governments on earth that can only perpetuate its existnce through holding the North Korean people imprisoned in a hell on earth.

Seems like Rocket mans on fire!

This could be prescient by NK. What is the penalty for high treason in America?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Both of you deserve each other. You both think the same and act the same...like little spoiled brats.

I would have thought he deserved to be excommunicated, cursed and burned at the stake for insulting one of the NK deities.  Maybe they can have him tried in Japan......

I beg to differ.

He deserves a comic award for all he has said/tweeted so far.

What a show!

short and fat vs old and deranged? hmmm sounds like a WWE match in the making.

Rather than real soldiers who would die in battle, let the fight take place in a fatal 4 tag team match, Putin, Kim, Xi and Duarte vs. Moon, Trump, Abe and Chuan.special guest referee from Australia the Down Under: Tony Abbott. Put them all inside a steel cage match, with tables, chairs and ladders, and make it a no holds barred, pinfall by submission.  To the winner goes the spoils.

Well that escalated pretty quickly!

Lol, Trump probably thinks the same thing in reverse

It is funny how many commenters here take these rethorical kabuki shows at face value.

Fact is, this is all very much for public consumption, and you be sure that behind the scenes an entirely different game is being played. E.g. for China, the NK theater removes a lot of pressure and gives much more room in negotiations. Trump understand this, the low-info CNN consumer crowd does not.

Trump is Kim's paper tiger.

NK is copying the way the Chinese government used to maintain control over the populace by creating a scary enemy and keeping everyone's scared eyes focussed in that direction.

Trump understand this

Trump understands squat. This myth that he's playing some kind of 4D chess is laughable. He's barely able to string a sentence together. He's winging it with every tweet.

"Why would Kim Jong-Un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER call him 'short and fat?'" he tweete

But Donald, you did just call him short and fat. You can't just -- Oh, I get it now.

Brilliant move by the President of the US.

I guess becoming friends isn't in the cards now...

An official insight, publically released too, into what goes on within N. Korea. No one dares say anything that would be less than flattering towards their Supreme Leader.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Kim is the one Who deserves the death penalty for the atrocities his family has done to their own people over the years along with all those who support them.

Oppression and misinformation combined with misdirection of the peoples attention is the only way Fat Boy can keep his regime precariously balanced on its pinnacle of power and wealth.

The Romanian solution will be the inevitable conclusion, but how long it will take is open to question.

Gotta love Kim, the man tries so very hard.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

But what Kim says has to be taken seriously. He killed his uncle, his half brother and he is still young. His country people adore him.

The worst crime for which he can never be pardoned is that he dared [to] malignantly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership," the editorial said.

Oh really. Well then. Here we go:

Dear Kim Jung Un:

No one can hurt the dignity of your leadership because you have none.

You do, however, share much in common with another clownish wannabe with a bad haircut and a penchant for cheap suits and military parades. You are both thin-skinned, pathetic little men whose only advantage in life was you were both born on home plate. Yet, despite the incredibly fortune of being born to immense privilege and opportunity, your squandering all that was handed to you.

I could go on, but I think you get the point. The worst crime is not maligning your non-existent dignity. You know what the worse crime is?

That you will continue to treat the people of Korea as your property. That you will abuse and use them and then throw them away.

You are the worst crime there is, Dear Fat Boy.
