North Korea is just mad that no one is talking about them with all the focus being on Ukraine.

North Korea: "Provoke, provoke, provoke, provoke, provoke, provoke, provoke..."

Some guy in South Korea: "We have missiles too"

North Korea: "THEY'RE PROVOKING US!!!!!"

Weak willed, cowardly, tantrum throwing, child minds.

but still is one of the happiest, safest places to live

As long as you aren't into food, maybe

Probably worth paying attention to her even if you don't like her, she is very high ranking within the party these days despite being relatively young still. What she says carries a lot of weight and she is likely to be around for a long time yet. She's the most likely successor to her brother if anything were to happen to him too.

She, like fatty, are members of the Kim Dynasty. They live as royalty, execute any opposition, are involved in international drug trafficking to support their lifestyle, kidnap and kill innocent foreign citizens, squander all of their subjects money on missiles and propping up the regime - all the while allowing millions to die of starvation.

Despicable, evil woman. The world will be better when she and fat boy are gone, along with all her family.

No one cares what this rat-like woman has to say. Just as sick as her disgusting brother.

another nutjob nation threatening nuclear war. great. like her insane counterpart in the Kremlin.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

It is telling that the very same Putin fanboys and defenders of fascist Russia are now defending the murderous Kim despots.

@ Testlainvestor.

its that simple right?…

threatening nukes, another MADman in nearby Russia did the same thing. At least Russians have a chance, albeit infinitesimal, to vote out their demented, corrupt, rapacious leader.

Whereas the North Koreans are probably stuck as long as the ruling family passes on their genes. One positive about the Kims is they have not yet shown the need to consume territory that is not theirs, unlike Russia. North Korea's biggest threat might be China, speaking of rapacious regimes wanting more territory.

So now all the Dictators and the Dictators Sisters and Brothers and Uncles and Grandparents are going to threaten to Nuke the world? Grow Up!

6 ( +8 / -2 )

While North Korea has always made a business out of making threatening remarks, it seems to me that Putin has now set in motion the practice of threatening countries with nuclear weapons as "normal and acceptable". Personally, I believe any country that threatens to use nuclear weapons is not qualiffied from holding any. This includes both North Korea and Russia.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

North Korea has repeatedly stated it would preemptively use its nuclear weapons when threatened by rivals as it accelerated its development of nuclear bombs and missiles, which Kim Jong Un sees as his strongest guarantee of survival.

Any North Korean use of nuclear weapons will guarantee retaliation from US nuclear assets and all but assure the end of North Korea's regime.

What Kim thinks ensures his survival is only applicable as long as he does not use them. If he does, he is finished.

as a pacifist, I think reunification is the answer.

I agree Rodney, but I also don't see a path for it in the near future at least. Yoon certainly wouldn't be welcoming of the idea, so it would take at least until the next President, probably longer. Maybe if they were totally free of outside influences.

I know many Koreans in the north and south look forward to the day when they do reunite though.

The only workable reunification will be the North becoming democratic like the South. The south will never agree to be ruled by the Kim despotic family.

So how do we get the North to emulate the South with free elections and to throw off the Kim family.

I will happily read your suggestion for how reunification can occur.

Sanctions! Sanctions, the dirty trick that never works however!

LOL, yeah right. North Korea is doing just fine, eh?!

The country is a total basket case that is 100% reliant on China for a miserable existence.

Sanctions work.

And many nowadays say we would have a better planet if more women could get more grip to powerful leading positions. Well, better quickly have a closer look here…

3 ( +11 / -8 )

She stressed that North Korea doesn't want another war on the Korean Peninsula but warned it would retaliate with its nuclear forces if the South opts for preemptive strikes or other attacks

Not a surprising reaction from North Korea, they definitely want to get out in front of President Yoon, given his extremely hostile positions to North Korea. Reasonable parties on both sides definitely don't want to see a resumption of hostilities.

No one cares what this rat-like woman has to say.

North Korea are being totally ignored on the world stage. She doesn’t get it that nobody cares. I do, there’s are hair care products that would help. And just a small idea, stop being so stupid. We get it, you want to be seen as a world leader…..sorry like your hair going to be pretty hard to catch up. But not impossible. Missiles not going to help either.

Ever watch three male betta fish together in the same aquarium? While two fight it out, the third typically sits back and watches until one is defeated and then comes in to finish the first two off. South Korea, North Korea, and China comes to mind.

That may help Japanese children not hate North Korean children but as the amount of daily propaganda in North Korea is never ending and all pervasive, their children will be indoctrinated as they grow up and their experience meeting Japanese children will not be able to alter how they ultimately turn out facing state propaganda.

I wish there was some way to solve this situation without too much trauma but greater minds have tried and failed to come up with a way forward and many nations have given it a great deal of thought.

“The senseless and scum-like guy [South Korean Defense Minister Suh Wook] dare mentioned the ‘preemptive strike’ at a nuclear weapons state, in his senseless bluster which will never be beneficial to South Korea, either,”

She's a real piece of work, isn't she?

But, then again, look at her bro, Kim Jong Un and his recent over-the-top “Top Gun” performance at a reported ICBM test site.

Ahh, family!

Imagine running your own personal hell

She is the most beautiful woman on the international stage, but unfortunately married with three children.

I had to swallow my vomit reading that !

The "Kim Kids" are children with their own nuclear weapons. Probably got them as birthday gifts on "Great Leader Day" from Sino benefactors. It does appear Sissy could use a day of beauty in NK spa. However, no one applied for the job when her last hairdresser when missing after a bad curl job. All this is speculation but hard to ignore given what other mad dictators are doing these days. Pray for Peace & please pass the ammo!

She's a real piece of work, isn't she?

Yep, the Krypt Keeper Barbie.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

For the second time this week, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un berated South Korea for touting its supposed preemptive strike capabilities against the North, saying her country's nuclear forces would annihilate the South's conventional forces if provoked.

Does NK really have nuclear capabilities?

It is unlikely that Japan would want to see a North^South Korea unification. This would disturb even further the relative peace in the region.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Yep, the Krypt Keeper Barbie.

HAHAHAHAHA! BRILLIANT!!!

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Sanctions haven't worked with this country and it's fascist leaders. Therefore, the UN should put a price on the heads of rocket man and his sister. It's fair enough if they are threatening to nuke people. Whoever assassinates these monsters should be richly rewarded and celebrated as heroes.

-4 ( +7 / -11 )

@Matthew Hopkins

That actually seems like a great idea. Some by choice and some by necessity, but North Korea is so shrouded in mystery that people really don't have a great idea what it is like. I didn't even spend long there and it was totally different from what I had been told. I think having kids able to experience it more on both sides would change a lot of people's image for the better.

I hope the political climate evens out to the point that'd be possible for you and many like-minded individuals again.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The reason why America occasionally provoking North Korea was they regarded N.K. is a third world country to knee on demands as America given to some "Bannna Republics" like Philippine and Mexico. The fact is some Koreans willing to fight back with a big stick known as ICBM! Americans were shocked and spelling out: Sanctions! Sanctions, the dirty trick that never works however!

point 1 good thing coming out of communist countries. 1 thing that benefits the human race.

do you have a smartphone, computer, car navigation system? China, Afghanistan, Peru, DRC, and wait for it…NK has the worlds biggest reserves of rare metals. Russia, (then USSR) and before then, has produced some of the worlds best music, culture, art, science, maths, medicine, even chess champions. Then there is space.

NK has been starved to death, sanctioned to death, insulted and threatened, but still is one of the happiest, safest places to live and has never invaded another country, since USA invaded The Korean Peninsula.

as a pacifist, I think reunification is the answer. Germany, until Angela Merkel left is the most powerful country in the EU. There is hope.

In general or specific examples? Generally we can see that they help lift the people out of poverty and improve education and living standards for the vast majority. Where they struggle is because of capitalist-imposed sanctions, not their own faults.

Cuba, since their revolution have absolutely skyrocketed education of the masses. They went from a literacy rate of approximately 60% to over 99%. They have some of the best medical care in the world (they have a lower child mortality rate than either Canada or the United States) and send doctors around the world to help others.

China has lifted more people out of poverty than any nation since at least the Soviet Union, if not all time.

The Soviet Union lifted the soviet people out of a massive economic downturn and pushed innovation to levels we haven't seen before. They set every standard for space travel and were the first to do almost everything there, except specifically walking on the moon. They invented technologies way ahead of their time, such as the cell phone.

North Korea is a bit different because of Juche, which also makes them really hard to judge from an outside perspective. I've been there but it was more than ten years ago and it was only for about a month, so even I can't judge super accurately.

Just a handful of examples of the benefits of communism.

Just look at these comments. There is no reason for the US to get involved in another Korean War. Just give SK nukes and stop bothering NK.

-15 ( +4 / -19 )

No one cares what this rat-like woman has to say

she is in the worlds top 1% of intelligent people. She is not rat like. She is the most beautiful woman on the international stage, but unfortunately married with three children.

people should care in the West. Flying a F-35 for one hour cost $45,000 in fuel, from taxpayers. Americans are burning money for absolutely no reason other than loss of pride in losing the Korean War.

-16 ( +1 / -17 )

How about the US and S Korea stop provoking NK? It's not hard. Let the South host Nuclear Weapons.
