They should investigate. If true, he should be taken out back and thrown into a dumpster.

yeah ok. So who is playing this guy on Saturday night live this week? Leader of the “resistance”, supporter of the #metoo movement, good friend of she who shall not be named, moral policeman constantly attacking Trump.

yep #youtoo and see ya.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

Trump called for his resignation way back in 2013 real piece of work this guy.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

Is it safe for the Mayor to comment now that he had to resign?

Mayor de Blasio says he does not think it's appropriate to comment on the bombshell Eric Shneiderman story in @NewYorker.

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

President Trump called it years ago....another hypocrite liberal!

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/02/eric-schneiderman-donald-trump-new-york-214734

uh no he took his own sanctimonious self down. We found an actual racist, sexist, assaulter ot women. Where’s the outrage?

Will This Man Take Down Donald Trump?

They’ve been squaring off for years. Now New York’s attorney general is emerging as the leader of the Trump resistance.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

Another one bites the dust, Trump pointing his finger is a muddy action at best, he himself is on record saying that groping woman is fine because he is rich. Paying a porn star for sex is fine. While his wife is pregnant. Fine. Sociopaths rule.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

This guy said:

“No one is above the law, and I'll continue to remind President Trump and his administration of that fact everyday."

bwahahahaha. Yeah, sure.

1 ( +8 / -7 )

Typical liberal hypocrite.

0 ( +7 / -7 )

Another one bites the dust, Trump pointing his finger is a muddy action at best, he himself is on record saying that groping woman is fine because he is rich.

He wasn’t it politics then, so big difference.

Paying a porn star for sex is fine. While his wife is pregnant. Fine. Sociopaths rule.

Not a good thing, I agree, but holding Trump to the same standard back when he was a private citizen? Sorry, not in the same category.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

People are people a tittle, ie prosecutors, president. Does not change their personality a monicommon might give power but does not magically change their personality. And scum always flouts to the surface. You earn respect by actions not by obtaining a tital..

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

He wasn’t it politics then, so big difference.

What difference would that be?

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Good on them for forcing this resignation. Hope he gets charged as well. Abuse cannot be tolerated by anyone.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Nah nothing will happen to him. The liberal punishment (which applies to liberals only) is that loss of your job is sufficient.

Then you just write a book and get airtime on CNN to continue the “resistance”.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Who was working with this guy to get Trump? Oh why it’s the Special Council himself. Wonder if Mueller gets a subpoena like everyone who associated with Trump for more than 5 minutes.

“Politico reported that Mueller has teamed up with New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office. Mueller and Schneiderman have reportedly begun sharing evidence from their parallel probes into Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chairman. “

1 ( +5 / -4 )

Interesting fact of the day;

Had a similar-level Republican been guilty of the same thing, heads would have exploded to the tune of 1897 super-outraged posts in half the time it took this thread to reach 18.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Oh drug abuse too? Damn...

“Schneiderman was accused in the wide-ranging report -- co-written by Ronan Farrow -- of hitting and choking women without their consent, asking to use "about half" of a woman's prescription of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, and mocking anti-gun demonstrators including parents from Sandy Hook Elementary School, the site of the 2012 shooting massacre, as "losers."

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Trump called for his resignation way back in 2013 real piece of work this guy.

I can't resist a LOL here, something about a pot, kettle and certain color comes to mind.

Its good the guy has resigned, there's no place for such behavior.

Wonder if the guy who was caught on mic boasting about assaulting women and getting away with it resign too.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Nope, he wasn’t beating them, choking them and calling them racially discriminatory names while taking illegal drugs.

Don’t worry CNN wouldn’t cover it on TV and it’s steadily moving to the bottom of their website inch by inch. Will be like it never even happened by Friday.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Nope, he wasn’t beating them, choking them and calling them racially discriminatory names while taking illegal drugs.

In case you didnt notice, the guy resigned and CNN did cover it.

So when are we going to discuss the other one, the grabbing one, caught out on tape, accused by many women.........

1 ( +5 / -4 )

You’ve spent 2 years discussing that already. There was an election and people decided at the ballot box that it didn’t matter as much as what Trump could do for our country. There will be another election in 2020 where this can be decided again.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

There was an election and people decided at the ballot box that it didn’t matter as much as what Trump could do for our country.

Right got it, Trump can commit any number of crimes but he is forgiven for the greater good(nobody knows what that is though..)

If someone not friendly to Trump is accused, then......

In the olden days it was called double standards, not sure what its called now.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Difference between liberals and conservatives:

Democrats when caught doing wrong : they resign

Republicans when caught doing wrong : they lie, stay in office and then have their sleazy lawyers take out a second mortgage to pay hush money

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Liberals are banned from using the concept of”double standards” for the entire remaining lifetime of one Mrs. Clinton.

Here comes the “but Dems resign” narrative like he was doing us a favor by resigning. He had no choice due to his previous sanctimonious tweets and public statements that directly contradict his actions towards women.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Liberals are banned from using the concept of”double standards” for the entire remaining lifetime of one Mrs. Clinton.

To borrow form another of your avatars, ROFL. I would suggest you dont get into the game of comparing who double standarded(I know thats not a word) the most. Its a losing game for the extreme right wingers.

like he was doing us a favor by resigning.

If Trump resigns it'll be a favor to all of us, will he do it?

He had no choice due to his previous sanctimonious tweets and public statements that directly contradict his actions towards women.

Have you forgotten a certain tape played over and over again the last 2 years

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Just another in a long line of "do as I say, not as I do" liberal hypocrites. . . .

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Ulysses - still waiting for you to identify any crimes that The President committed or admitted to.

For about 2 years now...

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

still waiting for you to identify any crimes that The President committed or admitted to.

You must be at the Giuliani speed for facts comprehension. Dont worry it'll come to you soon.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

the topic is this guy, not anyone else. But just for info, Judge Moore has countersued his unproven accuser. So until we get a verdict on that, who knows?

But in this case, we know because he couldn’t resign fast enough. He and the Dems hoping everyone will lose interest in looking into it more closely.

http://wtvr.com/2018/04/11/former-us-senate-candidate-roy-moore-countersues-accuser/

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Seems your standards for presumption of innocence follow political affiliation.

The rest of us just call that abject hypocrisy.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Nice try, but nope. This guy abused four women, there is evidence and collaboration from those 4 women and their friends, documents, photos, etc. are you saying abuser isn’t guilty?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

are you saying abuser isn’t guilty?

That is not what he said. You whine and whine and whine everytime a Democrat is accused sexual harassment, yet anytime a Republican is accused claim there is no evidence, or otherwise trash the accusers.

If not for the letter after a person's name, I'd be curious how you explain the difference in your reactions.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Uh no hypocrite would be this guy who was leading the #metoo movement and speaking out at the women’s march as a male feminist so concerned for women’s rights and safety.

While at the same time physically and mentally abusing the ones he supposedly protecting and advocating for. While accusing and trying to prosecute others for what he himself was doing.

Drug and alcohol abuse and sexual assault while in office. Not decades ago? Last year, maybe even this year. No excuse.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

The presence of actual evidence is the difference. When it exists, like in this case, it makes all the difference in the world.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

4 women accuse Schneiderman of abuse, he resigns 6 hours after the accusations are released. Trump is accused of abusing nearly 20 women, is on tape bragging about such abuse, he becomes president and gets 85% of the Christian evangelical vote.

Another difference between democrats and republicans.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

You must be at the Giuliani speed for facts comprehension. Dont worry it'll come to you soon.

so 2 years and counting, then.

Got it, thanks.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

The difference is that no Democrat is defending this guy.

Meanwhile, in West Virginia, the GOP is set to elect a guy who was in prison year.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

@Crazy: Democrats when caught doing wrong : they resign

Another difference between democrats and republicans.

Two words: Bill Clinton.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Selvaratnam, who was born in Sri Lanka, said Schneiderman started calling her his "brown slave" and made her say that she was "his property."

Democrats have always been and continue to be the racially divisive force in America that they have always been. When conservatives talk about the “Democrat party’s plantation” they are referring to the mental chains that Democrats have placed on blacks to vote against their own interests and shackle themselves to an uncaring state. But this Schneiderman guy seems to take his Democrat inspired slavery literally.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

When conservatives talk about the “Democrat party’s plantation” they are referring to the mental chains that Democrats have placed on blacks to vote against their own interests and shackle themselves to an uncaring state.

That story has to be the craziest one ever on this forum, but fantasies are the driving fuel for the extreme right, without it they are just frustrated haters.

Got it, thanks.

That day is far, but dont despair .

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Democrats when caught doing wrong : they resign -- comment*

Another two words: Ted Kennedy. . . .

0 ( +2 / -2 )

That story has to be the craziest one ever on this forum

It’s a popular talking point in conservative circles. It explains why blacks don’t vote Republican in a way that entirely sidesteps issues like the GOP president retweeting white supremacists and being sued for housing discrimination. The key to this and other similar propaganda is that it requires no change on the part of Republicans.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It's really weird how people politicize their thoughts on sexual offenders, and try to score points for their team based on which team the offender played for.

Aren't we in agreement regardless of team, that the behavior described in this article is bad? And can we not agree that this isn't a problem borne of political ideology, but rather a problem of certain men, regardless of political ideology, based on the fact that there have been perverts on both teams, some of them horrendous.

People trying to score points by throwing back and forth 'two words' listing names from the other team are missing the point that we should all be agreeing with each other how these people are bad irregardless of political affiliation.

It's ridiculous to be trying to score online debate points points off sexual offenses.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

It’s a popular talking point in conservative circles.

Denying that black Americans have been treated poorly by Democrats is a popular talking point in Leftist circles. But the evidence is clear by the status of blacks in Democrat run cities like Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Detroit.

You hot to hand it the Dems - they have convinced an entire race that the same party that enslaved and oppressed them for 200 years is looking out for their best interests. And don’t forget that LBJ knew exactly the bargain he made back in the 1960’s, “I'll have them n***** voting Democratic for the next two hundred years". And spare us the Left wing fact checkers revisionist history. It is well known that LBJ was a racist who used the n-word , well, liberally.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

@Strangerland: It's really weird how people politicize their thoughts on sexual offenders, and try to score points for their team based on which team the offender played for.

Strangerland- be honest. Did you, like most Democrats, not take seriously the assault and rape claims leveled against Bill Clinton in the 90’s? Schneiderman is accused of strangling a woman during what started out as a consensual act. Bill Clinton was accused of biting and bloodying the lip of Juanita Broderick as he raped her. Even the president of the National Organization for Women wrote an op-ed defending Clinton back then. Hillary could never bring herself to address this 800 lb gorilla during the 2016 election as she was running as the protector of women’s rights.

It makes me laugh to see comments like yours about point scoring and hypocrisy from the Right. Bill Clinton isn’t ancient history. He was almost back in the White House chasing interns as little as two years ago. I wish that people could look past their political biases when such serious issues as assault by political figures arise. I hate to break it to you, but the Democrats set the precedent - and you know deep down that it’s true. That’s most likely why the Access Hollywood rape had no effect on the election- the Dems politicized the issue so thoroughly it was simply ignored by those in the middle and in the right.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Did you, like most Democrats, not take seriously the assault and rape claims leveled against Bill Clinton in the 90’s?

Politics were very, very low on my list of concerns in the '90s. I was more concerned with the gym, girls, and partying.

Bill Clinton style.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Politics were very, very low on my list of concerns in the '90s. I was more concerned with the gym, girls, and partying.

Bill Clinton style.

You must not have read my question correctly. Bubba was accused of sexual assault much like AG Schneiderman along with workplace sexual harassment and worse- rape. I find it hard to believe that you would admit that was your style as well.

But my question, which you failed to address, was if you supported his actions? Did you even care, then or now? This gets to your statement that regardless of team sexual assault is a serious matter. To a great extent it is true that people ignore grievous behavior on the part of others when it doesn’t suit their personal interests.

The Dems in the 90’s and again in the 2016 election cycle ignored a lot of things they would otherwise consider abhorrent because the politicians personal issues and even illegal activities were not as important as the policies or supreme court justice they wanted in return for their support. Whenever a person on the Left wonders how an evangelical can vote for Trump given his many moral failings, it is easy to think back to how readily feminists and the Democrat party as a whole overlooked Clinton’s predatory past behavior towards women.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Just say you didn't care about the issues you were pontificating on at some point in your life!

I didn’t care. Tell me, were you interested in politics when you were in high school? Primary school? A baby?

Of course not. There is some point in time when these things began to matter to you.

For me that was after the ‘90s.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

It’s a popular talking point in conservative circles.

I am sure these are the same people who were the leading lights of 'Birtherism'

they have convinced an entire race that the same party that enslaved and oppressed them for 200 years is looking out for their best interests.

Thats exactly the type of condescending attitude that has driven the minorities aways from the Republicans. You pretend you know what is best for them and force it on them instead of letting them make up their minds.

Instead of going back to the 90's of the 60's or even the 1800's, we can talk about the recent past when you and your avatars were busy finding justification for peadophilia , because one of your candidates was one. The fact that he lost narrowly points to the mindset of the party of the fearful.

A criminal is not a criminal if its one of their own.

Trump called for his resignation way back in 2013 real piece of work this guy.

It would be extremely disingenuous to conflate these two stories if Trump was calling on him to resign for different reasons. Disingenuous or stupid, it's hard to tell which with some comments.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

He was hitting them so hard that one of them had bleeding from her ears for days.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Yet another loud liberal hypocrite.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

President Trump called it years ago....another hypocrite liberal! any scumbag liberal or conservative found guilty of abusing women should resign or imprisoned, now Trump the biggest hypocrite of them all should also follow suit.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

@Strangerland:,I didn’t care. Tell me, were you interested in politics when you were in high school? Primary school? A baby?

Nice way to dodge the question - oh I was a kid at the time so I have no opinion. Look if you think sexual assault was okay for Bill Clinton because you agree with what he did as president then just say so - own it. It’s as if you are purposely avoiding knowledge of past events that could force you to examine your current views? Moral consistency being less important than partisan advantage. I suppose I don’t blame you for not being forthright about the Left’s hypocrisy - it’s so blatant that there is no rational defense for it.

There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that the only reason the MeToo movement exists today is because the immoral philandering president in office now is a Republican and not a Democrat. I know this because in 2016 when the philandering ex-presidents wife was running for president against Trump, Bill Clinton was welcomed on the campaign trail, campaigning for his feminist wife until the very end. Now the Left just doesn’t talk about him anymore- as if Bubba never existed. That way they can stay on target and go after Trump without cognitive dissonance clouding their minds. The fact that Schneiderman claims he is innocent but was forced out anyway is just collateral damage. Al Frankenstein got the same treatment. American political polarization is great isn’t it!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Nice way to dodge the question - oh I was a kid at the time so I have no opinion.

It's not a dodge, it's laying out what happened. I was younger then, I wasn't in America, and for my buddies and I the whole Clinton thing was incomprehensible because we couldn't figure out why America was losing it over the president sleeping around. That was the extent of my opinion on the matter. I've never gone back and looked, because to be honest, I just don't really care.
