All these government workers will get reimbursed, they will get paid, eventually. But seeing that almost all these people are government workers that means many of them are Democrat supporters, which means the Democrats have more to lose on this issue since a large majority of their constituents are union donors and people working in big government that Democrats need for political support. So Trump should continue to dig in his heels and the Democrats can try, but the party of big government won’t be patient for very long.

At some point soon Dems will need to come up with a solution rather than just saying “no”.
