The perfect storm, with blame all round poor Breonna.

This case shows more than any other the folly of rushing to judgement, then being bitterly disappointed with the outcome. Given the facts at the time, I can't see any other way it could have gone really. The warrant issued to the officers may be the seeds of the problem. They thought they were going into a situation to arrest a known felon with a history of drug dealing. When they were fired on after announcing their presence, there wasn't much else they could have done. One of the officers was stupid and reckless in how he returned fire, and is rightfully being held to account for it.

Also don't forget that Taylor's family has also been given a $12 million by the city as compensation. The cops were stupid and showed poor judgement, but did not act with malice or criminal intent.

Collaborators who like to maintain the status quo will never speak ill of their henchmen.

Now, more than ever, it's time to defund these madmen and put real money into the communites, not a miltiarized force of oppressors.

Rise and rage, America. The world stands with you.

When schools underperform, we don't call for them to be defunded. Rather, we call for improved training and accountability, and increase funding where needed. This situation is the same. American police are often remarkably poorly trained and not given the necessary tools and information to do their job. One thing I DO know though, is that threatening them and committing acts of violence against them in retaliation for perceived grievances won't solve the problem.

Sitting around and letting cops kill you isn't going to solve the problem, either.

The police structures need to be restructured and replaced, like in South Africa and NI.

At the moment, there is little accountability and constant killings.

I cannot condone those who fight back.

The woman was handling her mans drug money. The cops came to arrest him and he started a gun battle. I do have a problem with the fact that they knocked on the door and announced their presence after midnight. Why in the middle of the night? I am glad to hear it was not a no knock arrest.

They don’t go around searching for people to kill, but if you act and behave like a thug or you physically attack a police officer they have every legal right and justification to stop that threat by any means.

Thug is code.

But right wingers know this, of course.

They actively applaud the slaughter of black Americans.

Civil rights means nothing to them. True patriotic Americans should fight back and stop the threat of the far right, and the menace of brutal police by any means.

Heretic, the "slaughter" you speak of turns out to be between 8 and 13 people per year, if you check the statistics. That is the number of unarmed black people killed by police in a given year.

If you want to talk about a slaughter, look to the slaughter that blacks do of each other. Thousands of African Americans are murdered every year by other African Americans. Very few are killed by non-blacks. The threat to the African American community is from within, not without. The "far right", whatever that is, doesn't kill black people.
