Maybe paliestines so called ally Egypt should open the border and start accepting refugees.

Collective punishment is illegal and should not happen.

If you decide to attack your "enemy" by raping innocent women and killing innocent civilians, including beheading babies, women and elderly, then don't be surprised if your "enemy" unleashes "hell" on you!!

No mercy for Hamas, Hezbollah, complete annihilation for such terrorists groups and atrocities, responsible for all the State of Palestine's loss of life and plight.

I cannot imagine what Hamas' end game was when planning this attack.

End game liberation

Hamas are the deplorables killing Israelis and causing suffering for the Gaza Arabs.

7 ( +16 / -9 )

It's not 'retaliation' when what you are doing is what you were doing BEFORE the thing you claim to be retaliating for, only more intensely. It's called ESCALATING after they responded to your attacks.

Exactly, Hamas brought it on themselves. Now they’re about the feel they full wrath of the Israeli military might. You act like a rabid dog, you get put down like one.

The Israeli military said it has no evidence of Hamas beheading babies.

What is the long-term solution?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

The people of Gaza are prisoners of terrorists known as Hamas. At the end of the day, they will benefit greatly after Israel has gotten rid of the terrorist yoke.

2 ( +10 / -8 )

Their no long term solution, but be death in and destruction,I do not really care, because that what they seem to want

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Someone committing a Crime Against Humanity against a population is, by law, and by reason, never retaliating against their victims, even after the victims have used violence themselves. So why is the media using a term that is counterfactual? It's not as if a search of what the Israeli regime has been doing since the beginning (of the week, the month, the year, the decade, or them deciding to name it Israel rather than Palestine) doesn't turn up human rights groups of all stripes identifying it as a CAH. It's not as if the concept is hard to grasp.

2 ( +9 / -7 )

Israeli citizens understand better than any others that sacrifices are necessary sometimes for the overall survival of the nation. I believe that most of the hostages believe they are going to die in this conflict. It will be hard to watch, but the Israeli government will move to punish and defeat the terrorists no matter the costs.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

Thing is, Gaza is a refugee camp itself because of the creation of Israel and Arabs being kicked out of their homes.

“There is no justification for terrorism. Hamas does not stand for the Palestinians people right dignity and self-determination. The state of purpose is the annihilation of the state of Israel, on the murder of the Jewish people. They use Palestinian people as human shields, offers nothing more than terror and bloodshed with no regard who pays the price”.

President Joe Biden.

Now, no matter how long it takes, or the cost, irradicate Hamas/Hezbollah, then turn to Iran’s ayatollahs.

Yes as with the destruction of War II, never is there something for nothing.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

@Wallace

A long term solution is for the residents of Gaza to expel the Hamas group as the terrorists care nothing for the civilian population.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Hamas screwed the Palestinians. A significant amount of support they had from around the world was wiped out overnight. Now suddenly Israel is clearly the aggrieved victim. It's never appropriate to mass-execute civilians. Never.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

The Israeli military said it has no evidence of Hamas beheading babies.

So maybe Hamas is just being setup.

My God dude…smh…

Babies and children were shot and killed. Some media stories about beheading babies but no evidence according to the military.

I cannot imagine what Hamas' end game was when planning this attack.

Their model of resistance is based on how the Tunisians, Algerians and especially the South Africans drove out their colonizers.

I think that aside from stopping the diplomatic normalizing of relations between Israel and the Arab states they seek to lure the IDF into street fighting on their well prepared turf inside Gaza. Study what happened in was it June or July when the IDF conducted a series of raids on a Palestinian refugee camp in Jenin. The camp in Jenin has its own home grown rebel group that was conducting attacks outside the camp on Israeli targets in the local area. The IDF blew all kinds of things up but the teenage rebels in the camp had a system of tunnels that allowed them to escape to fight another day. Expand that across something the size of Gaza with its 2 million plus residents and a land army that hasn't fought a significant ground war since 2006 ( against Hezbollah, which they essentially lost) and you can see that Hamas might be setting the IDF up for a house by house, building by building fight they cannot win. I suspect this war will become a smaller scale but order of magnitude denser version of that 2006 war against Hamas.

We don't have the resources to check the story. I don't accept or reject I report at least on a military report had no evidence.

Wallace: Political change in Iran. Because Israel isn’t going anywhere and the apartheid on the Palestinians won’t stop. The only way to get change in Iran is for Israel to use their end game nuclear arsenal. I also hope that the beheading are a AI production.

Lead headline Mail on line.

'This was a holocaust pure and simple': Babies beheaded, 40 children shot dead in a single settlement, and families burnt alive... SAM GREENHILL meets survivors of the Hamas death squads and hears their stories of unimaginable horror

Wallace offers the voice of reason, rational review, prudent action, logic, fairness, good judgement, proven evidence-based retaliation.

I wish after revieing some of the proven screaming men women children running for their lives, the bodies of the slaughtered, loaded on to refrigerated transport I could show such restraint.

I have no idea whether the beheadings happened or not. First I’ve even seen on it is the comments here today. Whether it did or not doesn’t change my opinion. Hamas needs to be wiped out.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

“I sell toys, not missiles,’’ the 46-year-old said, weeping. “I want to leave Gaza. Why do I have to stay here? I lost my home and my job.”

The majority of Palestinians are just ordinary people with no interest in violence or death.

Now Israel is carpet bombing an area in which 2 million people live and they cannot escape!

Jews have experienced a holocaust and now they are in the midst of creating one themselves

11 ( +13 / -2 )

The people of Gaza are prisoners of terrorists known as Hamas. At the end of the day, they will benefit greatly after Israel has gotten rid of the terrorist yoke.

I don't think you understand how the Palestinians see their situation. They see Fatah governing the West Bank as Israeli poodles who roll over for a belly rub every time the Israeli government chips away yet more occupied West Bank land for "settlements" (colonies of foreigners on their land). Mahmoud Abbas and his government are seen as weak, corrupt and utterly unable to protect the rights of the Palestinians, more concerned with looking reasonable to the west than protecting the rights of the Palestinians.

Increasingly and especially since the 2014 Gaza war the Palestinians in Gaza see their best course of action as collective resistance. You do not see Israel building "settlements" in Gaza as they do in the West Bank. They see Hamas as their defenders. Even Palestinians in the West Bank see this and were in the streets cheering when Hamas opened fire on Israel. Even if they get beat up by the IDF, the Palestinians would rather resist, knowing it was exactly the same kind of collective resistance that defeated apartheid in South Africa and expelled the colonizers from Tunisia and Algeria.

I think it's this mindset that is a scourge to humanity. You keep thinking that one side is better than the other, more innocent than the other. But it's not true. Unless all this violent nonsense ends, humanity will never grow. Taking sides is pointless. Stop acting like Neanderthals.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

How proud the Israel supporters must be of the 500 women and children murdered in Gaza. Yet not one word from Biden about talking to the Palestinians to try and diffuse the situation! Just more blind support for the war criminals in Israel!

0 ( +6 / -6 )

Poor Palestinians that their government Hamas is using them as human shields after they raped and murdered civilians in Israel

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Murdering children to punish Hamas? Nah. That's not it at all. Israel is run by monsters and that is just a thin excuse for them to murder men, women and children again and steal some more land.

The Israeli right, which controls Israel and its military, learned everything it knows from the Nazis. In fact, they are fascists, and people who say that's impossible because they are Jews simply don't undertand fascism at all. Its not about hating JEWS. Its just about hating SOMEBODY and being a complete monster about it.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Normally I'd sympathize with the Palestinians, but their Hamas attack randomly killing so many civilians, so I've read, parading around spitting on half naked dead women from the desert party, so I've read, is too much. This is so strange.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Fizzbit - I think most are on the same page with this one.

So it total full on war now. So am staying neutral and won't be posting any propaganda, But will comment of strategies. A Israel spokeswomen has stated, that on day one of the attack, 700 Israeli have be killed. Then added, It is the most in day since the holocaust. Very bad move. I see that as motivation for Hamas battle groups to compete with each other and go out and out do the first day total. Also the release of videos which could or not be the production AI and use as a weapon. So with today tech it going to harder to gage what is fact and what is not.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Keepyer: I assume you mean Ultra far right.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

It would be best if the members of HAMAS and the IDF, go to an adjacent field and line up in lines, like the traditional battles akin to the US Civil war or Waterloo and walk towards each other firing.

Leave the civilians alone.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

There is still 0 evidence for the apparent baby slaughter. Just some guy said it and the Western media decide that is enough to run with it.

On the other hand there is video evidence of babies and children killed in the bombing of Gaza.

But hey, what does evidence even mean these days? Just run with whatever narrative you like.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I cannot imagine what Hamas' end game was when planning this attack.

It's the "grapes of wrath", innit? Ever heard of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising? I've read a dozen books about it and I'm struck by the cruel ironies of history, all of which have been and will continue to be taboo in the MSM. The Arabs of Gaza are only human, too, and when the tipping point is reached, like for the desperate Jews living in inhuman conditions under German control, they are ready to die on their feet rather than die slowly on their knees. The veil of hypocrisy thrown over the state of Israel by the world community must be ripped away and a "final solution" found immediately to put an end to the harvest of blood endured by both sides. Only the establishment of a multi-ethnic state of Israel in which Jews can help to raise up their semitic brothers and sisters, intermarry and live in a peaceful democratic state of opportunity can prevent the annual sowing of the seeds of hate.

Not so different from the damage Israel inflicted on southern Lebanon all the way up to the outskirts of Beirut in 2006. Despite whole blocks leveled Hamas' rocket launch sites were never found, their stocks of rockets never destroyed, and Israeli ground forces were fought to a standstill in the rubble of the towns their air force destroyed. Despite the damage and despite suffering much greater loss of life Hezbollah emerged far stronger from that war and are now an effective check on any Israeli ambitions to their north. Israeli military swallows hard thinking about the prospect of fighting Hezbollah again. Hamas may very well emerge from this bloody but stronger.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Fair enough. Just an observation from the pictures here.

Fair enough. Just an observation from the pictures here.

These kinds of wars can't be judged by the same standards used to judge wars between nation states where the nation that does the greatest damage to the other side wins. There is an important psychological aspect to just standing up to an occupying power, even if in the end you get a really bad bloody nose and two black eyes. The Palestinians see this as a long term fight. To them what has happened so far is a great victory even if Israel ends up leveling half of Gaza in the process. They stood up to a much larger power and did grievous damage. Nobody can take that back from them.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I cannot imagine what Hamas' end game was when planning this attack.

I suspect things aren't going to plan for the Hamas leadership right now.

The scenario that beforehand they probably thought would be playing out right now is that they would be holding several dozen Israeli hostages and the Israeli and international media would be treating this as a tense hostage standoff which they would be able to parlay into some sort of "victory" by working out a prisoner exchange. Being able to say "Hey we freed our guys from Israeli prison" would probably have been a very big domestic boost to their support.

You can see evidence of this not just in the fact that they obviously had a plan to take hostages, but also in the initial communications from Hamas which were narrowly focused on the leverage they thought holding hostages would bring them.

But instead the extent of the civilian massacres Hamas carried out has been so extreme that the hostages are being treated almost as an afterthought by the Israelis. They've instead triggered a political response in Israel that is even bigger than the American political response to 9/11 and have given a country with one of the most capable militaries in the world the complete determination to wipe Hamas off the map no matter what the cost. And, given international revulsion at what Hamas has done, they've also given the Israelis political cover to really take the gloves off.

There are some reports out there that the Hamas political leadership has been kind of caught off guard by how deadly their own assault was, they probably expected the Israeli military to have been more effective at stopping them and probably weren't planning for the kind of blowback they are about to receive. They might have expected to kill a few dozen Israelis - which would have been inflammatory and invited military retaliation, but not on the scale of what they are facing in the aftermath of them killing a thousand.

“Sheer evil . . . Blood thirstiness like ISIS!”

Not by a long shot. Hamas is pure evil.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

I’m afraid the hostages have been earmarked for murder by Hamas, and they must know it.

The bodies will be exchanged for live Palestinian prisoners much later. Its a recurring pattern. When have the Palestinians ever returned a hostage alive to Israel? They always kill them.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

They tried to at Egypt's sole crossing in Rafah, but it has been bombed repeatedly and is currently closed.

It seems they are making a situation where the civilians are not allowed to leave, easily or at all.

Cutting off electricity, food and water will have dire consequences for the children and elderly there unfortunately.

Cutting off electricity, food and water is a cruel and unnecessary punishment. The vast majority of Arabs have done nothing.
