There are no illegal settlements. Israel is a country and has a right to do what it wants with its own land.

The West Bank isn't Israeli land.

The fact is, Israel still stands...

How long would it stand without US support?

...and will continue to crush any uprising brought on by Islamic terrorists.

And kill anyone else unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity when the missiles land. Excuse me if I don't find the totalitarian-style rhetoric very inspiring.

They should dismantle all illegal settlements and remove the crazy right wing settlers from what is left of the west bank. Make Jerusalem neither Palestinian or Jewish but a religious multi denomination city along the lines of the Vatican City where ALL faiths can worship in peace.

netanyahoo is finished thankfully he will be in jail soon and hopefully a less hawkish more centrist “leader” will take his place. The world opinion is turning against the zionists and they know it bibi is bad for business as is murdering women and children.

This is crazy

There is no "victory" in this - for anyone!

I am only happy that the bombing has stopped.

Commodore perry - as someone who's lost family members to hitler's gas chambers, I take great offence when people like you confuse anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism.

Israel will never leave what is theirs.

But it will habitually take what isn't theirs, which is the whole problem.

Trying to paint the israeli governement as a saint who's simply defending itself from evil agressors is absolutely ludicrous.

“only terrorist Hamas would make their own women and children cannon fodder for 11 days, then declare victory when Israel has successfully defended itself.”

didn’t Israel kill the women and children??

Only when a fighter beats another fighter of equal stature does he get to have bragging rights. So far I have only seen infantile bullies.

How sad the loss of life and injury no matter which side of the conflict.

I've lomg hoped and prayed that Israel will cease land grabbing and be willing agree to a two state solution that leaves the Palestinians with a viable country that they would be happy with. But the fact is that Israel won't and never will because their goal is to drive the Palestinians completely out and take over the whole geographical area occupied by ancient Israel 3000 years ago.

May God have mercy on the poor Palestinians.

Whose land is the West Bank if not Israel's??

Has the Israel government claimed the whole territory? I thought they acknowledged the legitimacy and autonomy of the Palestinian Authority, as established by the Oslo Accords.

I guess totalitarian-style rhetoric applies to every war!

Not everyone uses it though. I don't personally like to come across as if I'm writing for Pravda, Signal or the Ministry of Peace from Nineteen Eighty Four.

The left-wing anti-semitic media will be negative no matter what, so ignore them.

Goes both ways. You're obviously just going to parrot pro-Israel rhetoric no matter what so why shouldn't we all just ignore you too.

All Israeli settlements built on the Palestinian side of the 1948 demarcation line are illegal.

hard for the zionists to fathom but true under international law.

Nat Turner's rebellion came at a terrible price for him and his men, their families and friends, and others of the 'wrong race'.

It also was a total failure, crushed and wiped out and the truth erased.

And yet there were (And still are) people who celebrate what he did, even those who lost kin to the response.

Now if you can't see why they celebrated what he did, your brain is poisoned with racist hate.

And the same thing seems to be true if you have the same problem about those who fought for a smidgen of freedom for the people of Gaza from Netanyahu, even if they failed like Nat Turner did.

Something certain posters ignore at their peril, is that the precedent has already been set.

Publicly egging others on to commit war crimes and attempted genocide is enough to get charged with those crimes, and convicted too.

didn’t Israel kill the women and children??

You wouldn't want the IDF as hostage negotiators. Hamas may well be using innocent civilians as shields (although I suppose certain people would argue they deserve what they get if they elected Hamas), the Israeli government and military have indicated over and over that they just don't give a c---.

Sure,Hamas won the battle just as donald won the 2020 election.

The land of delusions attracts the craziest!!!!

Now that the explosions have stopped, the righteous anger abates and we are once again lulled into inattention since the region once again is at "peace." Then something will trigger the next round. It's on an endless loop, with no solutions acceptable to the opposing sides. Tick...tick...tick...tick... BOOM.

All they do is wake up each morning and think of how they can make things worse for each other.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

If they see this as a victory, what does a defeat look like?

There are no illegal settlements. Israel is a country and has a right to do what it wants with its own land.

Defendinf its own land isn't really trhe problem, "annexing the land from Palestine" is.

Hamas is the active elected political and military groups within Gaza. Led by Ismail Haniyeh, from 2007, until 2014 and again from 2016.

We already know all that, so now what are they doing now? Did the leadership decide to recognize Israel? If they didn’t expect more bloodshed.

The West Bank Palestinian authority agrees that Israel has the right to exist.

And that is the right thing to do, now if the Gazans can find a way to elect new leadership, the seeds of peace can take root. I pray Hamas does the right thing, but I’m not so sure….

The publicity and positive media for their “cause” seems to outweigh the loss of innocent life so they can claim victory.

only terrorist Hamas would make their own women and children cannon fodder for 11 days, then declare victory when Israel has successfully defended itself.

Make note of all the names who have shown blind support terrorist Hamas and Iran. Remember them.

The true victory is all the money in aid that will be given to “build back better” by the virtue signaling countries.

Women and children are killed in wars and when fighting terrorism. US, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan--name a country that fought in a war or fought terrorism where women and children were not killed.

The anti-semitism in arguments against Israel being able to defend itself are the basic definitions of anti-semitism.

Instead of looking at why Israel is defending itself, people completely overlook that crucial part, and focus on some collateral result instead.

Very easy to analyze the Israel-Palestiinian Arab issue.

Israel agreed to the terms of a two state solution which would give both Israel and Palestinian arabs land in the region. But--and most people here are not educated about this---the Palestinian Arabs REFUSED the offer. They wanted all the land!

Jordan OCCUPIED the east part of Jerusalem in 1948 and occupied and annexed what is now the West Bank. That's right folks---an Arab state took land that was offered to--but never accepted by--the Palestinian Arabs.

Then, Israel upon defending itself from several Arab countries attacking it (again) in 1967, drove Jordan out and began the current administration of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Arabs never ever ever controlled the West Bank, and did not fuss when another country (Jordan) occupied that land. But as soon as Israel gained control over it after defending itself from attack the Palestinian Arabs make a claim for that land.

Israel will never leave what is theirs.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

See, Palestinians lose at least 243 people including 66 children and Hamas celebrates this as a victory. So people here still want throw their full support behind Hamas? Weird.

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

Just calling an Islamic terrorist an Islamic terrorist.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

polls show 70% of Israelis believe the ceasefire to be premature and I agree.

It makes little sense that Israel stop the eradication of every Hamas terrorist leader who strive for nothing less than the destruction of Israel.

The left-wing anti-semitic media will be negative no matter what, so ignore them.

-11 ( +6 / -17 )

Whose land is the West Bank if not Israel's??

Israel fought off several arab nations upon its establishment as a sovereign country, without US support. It won the 1967 war, the Yom Kippur war, all on its own. Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Jordan--all retreated with their tails between their legs after getting beat by Israel.

I guess totalitarian-style rhetoric applies to every war! but interesting how the approach is to immediately blame Israel for defending itself, rather than blame the terrorists who attack Israel, and by consequence put others at risk. That is the foundation of anti-semitism, and I am sure most people are not evil in their hearts with their views towards Israel, but without being aware, they are fostering that malingering prejudice.
