Yeah, well, it seems the pro-gun loons’ argument of needing a gun to protect yourself has been shot to poop again. It’s difficult to understand how everybody having a gun will result in less gun related deaths. That’s just illogical malarkey.
Random
So you’re saying that all ten victims had weapons and were unable to protect themselves?
CrazyJoe
The country is being held hostage by the NRA and love for guns. Blood on their hands and pox on their homes.
I believe we all wish something could be done to keep shooting massacres from happening so often.
We have way too many shootings, with many massacres among them.
It is a tragedy and a travesty that our nation does nothing at all to address gun violence.
bass4funk
No, they’re not.
Absurd!
Trying to take away the 2nd amendment is not the way.
It is a tragedy and a travesty that our nation does nothing at all to address gun violence.

It’s like these people think splitting a restaurant in half and saying ‘this side only is for smoking’ will keep smoke out of the other side.

Higher than the GDP of New Zealand. Stop shooting yourselves for a bit and you can buy New Zealand instead of Greenland.
bass4funk
We have enough on the books already, the laws need to be more heavily enforced. But I keep forgetting, cops in most Blue States and in the Justice system are not allowed to heavily prosecute gun offenders.
ClippetyClop
Barely disguied glee at a mass shooting in the other team's state instead of your own.
yamada1043
Another day, another mass shooting .... this nightmare has got to stop.

Sounds a bit high to me. That's enough to bail out dozens of rich bankers and campaign donors.
They already are. The rich take their government welfare and buy a safe abode (and citizenship) in New Zealand for the inevitable day when people wake up and realize they are being robbed. They would prefer that people be unarmed for that very same reason.
Chip Star
You are for depriving people of their liberty by placing them in mental healthcare facilities to prevent them from possibly using a firearm for a massacre.
Strip people of their liberty just so you can have easy access to weapons.
Your contention is that "Blue States," i.e., democratic states, that have the toughest firearms laws don't allow the police or courts to prosecute gun offenders? Wow, that's one huge logic failure right there.

Outstanding. So true.

Not surprising that such an insensitive statement comes from someone who justified killing migrants just because 'there are different from us'.
Easy access to guns is America's bane and unless that is resolved we will keep seeing such senseless killings.
Jimizo
At it again, eh?

Indeed. This type of gun related incident is indeed comparable with smoking banks and public venues' attempts to accommodate all their prospective customers. agree with Bungle, this at least feels like it might be non-random and related to some gang issue or other beef.

I never even saw this one mentioned on the BBC - THAT is how commonplace these slaughters are becoming. American politicians know the answer, they just don't have the bollox to do anything about it.

I’m not saying anything. I am only repeating what the pro-gun lobby in the US wants and why they want it. They want everybody armed so they can protect themselves against others with arms. They even want school teachers to carry guns in schools. It’s absolutely ridiculous!
Peter14
Sadly just another day in lawless USA.

Not a comment one way or the other on the issue. Just wanted to point out the numbers seem too far from factual to be useful in any debate.

If they are mentally ill, and infringing on my rights as well and that’s where the 2nd amendment comes in because if they don’t want to care for these people and allow them on the streets, they shouldn’t be on the streets if they can’t control themselves or can make the determination to be responsible then that’s where the State should comes in.
Allow mentally ill and deranged people the ability to come and attack me and my family while I’m disarmed and not allowed to have weapons? Lol, yeah, right.....
Then they should enforce existing laws and leave law abiding citizens like myself alone. This is why Democrats in all honesty wouldn’t do anything about guns because if they did, they wouldn’t get elected to anything again.

Another day, another shooting in the US of 'murica. More people dead.
bass4funk
But they have other problems where people are dying so it’s all relative, whether it’s guns, pills, knives or poison, dead is dead and it doesn’t discriminate.

T&P.
See ya at the next one.

Dead is dead and whatever the cause of it is in whichever country you live, the end result is still the same: dead.
oldman_13
U.S. and its gun loving culture.
Methinks people from this country have no business lecturing other nations on how to conduct their business or how their citizens act.
Fix your own countries first.
bass4funk
No, I disagree.
Yes, but regardless a dead body is a dead body, whatever the cause, once that happens, death doesn’t discriminate.

Yet another multiple people shooting in the heavily gun controlled, liberal utopia of California? Well, that's mighty awkward for the gun-grabbing crowd.

Those crazy Californians.
Made plans a few hours ago to have a BBQ with family - not in California - after we go to an outside target range for a day of fun for 3 generations.
Wish people here would understand a little about changing the US Constitution before commenting.
It is basically impossible to remove the 2nd Amendment. 2/3rd of both houses of Congress and state legislatures are required. 13 states can block any Constitutional change regardless of what the far west and north east want. It won't be changed. Period. So it is time to move onto other solutions. m'k?
There are more guns in the USA than there are people or cars. There is no centralized registry for gun ownership, so passing a local law that tries to get people turn in or register their existing firearms will be treated just like speeding laws. This is by design. Certain firearms do require registration, but most places a handgun or limited round rifle do not.
Heck, in some states putting a handgun into a purse is not considered "concealing", so a concealed weapon license isn't needed.
But there is good news. If you do have a concealed weapon license, that card can be used to prove your identity for voting on election day. ;)

That's from the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-50463611
Football family gatherings need to stop, clearly.
