Terrible and tragic. Hope more missing people are found and rescued soon, and that the Red Crescent assists the residents of the area.

Experienced the Kumamoto quakes. Planning now on where to meet loved ones (an open area such as a nearby school or park) in such an event is important.

I feel for the victims and the survivors. The mountains are a place difficult for first responders to reach.

Unbelievable and shocking scenes just streaming in. The death toll is going to be enormous - make no mistake. Hopefully a Japan search and rescue team will be loading up as we speak and soon to be flying to Marrakech.

Rest in Peace - hoping for the rescue of survivors.

US already pledges to provide assistance.

That's sad news. I hope the body count doesn't rise too much higher.

Me too in Kumamoto, Slept in our car for days.

Luckily we had lots of supplies. Mashiki was the worst.
