Public hearings in Trump impeachment probe set to begin

He's a one-trick pony. He just keeps doing and repeating the same things over and over. The system has caught up to him, and he isn't smart enough to figure out how to adjust his game to stay ahead of the system.

He'll be impeached, the impeachment hearings will expose everything about him, and the Republicans will then put themselves on record as excusing his actions. Then the people will vote.

That will be the true telling of whether America is beyond the point of no return. If they still elect the representatives who protected Trump, even after all the evidence is out there for all to see, it will mean that there is no hope left for the country.

A Presidential impeachment is held in the court of public opinion. Elected representatives are very much aware of this. If they get it wrong, the voters will unelect them at the earliest opportunity. 

There is very little established legal precedent regarding Presidential impeachments. Both political parties are feeling their way along as they go. If U.S. voters perceive the process as being unfair, elected Congressmen, and Senators, will pay a price. It's already been established that the U.S. news media outlets can not be trusted to provide unbiased news. The news media outlets profess disbelief, or confusion, about why the voters won't vote the way the news media outlets demand that they do. Most people simply don't care what the news media outlets have to say anymore, and it's the news media's own fault. Elected representatives do not want to find themselves in the same position as the news media outlets.
