to have an orderly election outcome, there must be an orderly election.

Things like this dont help with that perception.

"The issue surfaced earlier in the day when the DOJ announced that it had recovered a small number of discarded ballots. While the Justice Department would not say where they had found the ballots, they did say there were nine recovered -- seven of which were cast for President Trump, while the other two were sealed by Luzerne County before the FBI recovered them,

In his letter to Luzerne County officials, U.S. attorney David Freed indicated that additional ballot materials were found in a dumpster. Freed said their investigation yielded "troubling" findings, including that the county allegedly improperly opened ballots."

Then in January I would like to see Trump and his tribe being led out of the WH in handcuffs at gunpoint.

Many of us feel the same about the Dems and Biden should he NOT concede.

I'm tired of all of this Trump crap. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up in January.

And so say all of us.

Then in January I would like to see Trump and his tribe being led out of the WH in handcuffs at gunpoint.

It's ironic that the far right can lecture about peace, when some of them are online wishing their opponents be hanged.

Liberals wished far worse on conservatives, sad.

Holding America hostage to small, sparsely populated red-neck states, gerrymandering, voter suppression by violent intimidation, disruption to mail service, closure of voting stations, moving stations to far-off locations and discouraging minorities from voting is how the Republicans try to win elections. Otherwise, you'd be seeing a Democrat candidate being voted into the WH every time, by the majority of citizens.

Trump is not an American leader of democracy. What he thinks is autocracy and completely ignorant to the

constitution of the United States. He is a cancer to the country and the world.

@ Serrano - Please be reminded that your cult leader was a registered, and financial contributor, of the Democratic Party most of his adult life and he wanted to run for the office of President of the United States of America (POTUS) as a Democrat.

He was turned down and found an opening with the Republican Party .. and the rest of story is the nightmare we know.

Dems are in no position to lecture anybody about the peaceful transfer of power.

Yep, this is going well. Swing states, PA and now Wisconsin.

What’s so ironic is that the Dems last standard bearer told Biden not to accept the results of the election not two weeks ago.

e Obama administration

Someone's haunted and/or obsessed. And probably just following his organization's script.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

There will be an orderly transition of power. Once it is proven who won and who lost and that the results were legitimate.

Unlike last time when the Obama administration was plotting and scheming up until Inauguration Day against the newly elected President and his transition team.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

have been two instances this week of ballots found abandoned on the side of the road.

in one case, specifically identified as 7 Trump voter ballots and 2 "unidentified" ballots (also Trump, certainly) just sounds bad to say 9 were found and 9 were Trump).

Absentee ballots from military by the way. all voting for Trump in PA in this case.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

It's hard to get one's head around all the paranoia hovering over Trump's coy comments concerning the orderly transition of power. Trump's clumsy attempts to put the banana into the republic will ultimately fail as the prat will fall even before he slips on his own "banana skins": his malfeasance and his tax returns. Al Capone's fate awaits the Donald if there is any justice in the land.

Both parties' leaders see orderly election outcome

I see chaos with all these unsolicited universal mail-in ballots on an unprecedented scale.

I'm tired of all of this Trump crap

I'm tired of all this Dem crap.

After we all see his leaked tax returns, we'll be laughing at Trump.

We were laughing at Rachel Maddow when, with great fanfare, she showed us Trump's leaked 2005 return without looking at it first, and we saw that he paid a higher percentage in taxes than Obama or Bernie. Tee hee!

Fortunately, there are enough sensible politicians on both sides that are still looking out for the country. Unfortunately, there are spiteful and despicable ones like Graham and the turtle, who only care about coming out on top (e.g. when the turtle said that his greatest thrill was striking down Obama's nomination to replace Scalia's seat).

It's those who remain sheep and blindly follow the Donald who are hurting this country. If Donald remains the president, make no mistake, his past and current actions of using the police to forcibly clear out protesters, using federal agents to drive in unmarked cars and forcibly taking people away like he has done in the Northwest, and using the police to attack reporters who are only documenting on the protests, are only the tip of the iceberg. He will use any means possible to remain in office and keep his power. It's scary to think that there are those who will follow his strong-armed orders as well.

President Donald Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the election

What if we see massive voter fraud with all these unsolicited universal mail-in ballots on an unprecedented scale in closely contested states giving the election to Harris-Biden? It is in fact the only way they can win. What, just capitulate and hope to stop it in the next election? There won't be any hope for that short of a civil war.

It's the Democrats who won't accept the result if they lose. Heck, they still haven't accepted 2016.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

There are some Republicans who still actually care about our country being a democratic republic. A little late for y’all to be speaking out now, but we’ll take it.

I hope you have liberals and Dems equally promising a peaceful concession if Trump wins despite what Hillary said. Do we need the military to escort them off the WH lawn? Hope not.

Trump is about FUD.

Americans know that our FBI and Secret Service will follow the US Constitution which demands the exchange of power on Jan 20th. Nobody else is going to raise up to back him.

At noon on Jan 20th, if he isn't gone from the White House, the Secret Service will escort him out. He has very little chance of winning. There is true anger across the US with only about 20% of the die-hard anti-abortion people who will vote for that liar on the single issue alone. The rest of the country sees him as a killer of 160K Americans who needs to be charged with involuntary manslaughter immediately after leaving office.

Until that time, we are in damage control and lifesaving modes to minimize the number of COVID deaths yet to happen under this idiot. The fact that he thinks he's done a good job is just scary. If he would have just kept his mouth shut, at least then the CDC and NIH would have stepped up and the fight would have been lead by science rather than an imbecile.

As for Trump's anti vote-by-mail campaign and lawsuits - this is really terrible and cannot be allowed.

After we all see his leaked tax returns, we'll be laughing at Trump.

Who cares if he is? Of he loses, he's gone. What's he going to do, order the army outside of the White House?

can never recall any politician ever who needed to have his 'words' clarified.

add "... clarified so frequently".

3 ( +4 / -1 )

By Thursday, the White House sought to clarify Trump’s words

I can never recall any politician ever who needed to have his 'words' clarified. Trump's either the most inarticulate politician in modern history, or the slimiest. (Probably both) His constant dog-whistling suggests more of the latter. That's why the R's have a 'rapid response team' that tries to sanitize what he said.

“The president will accept the results of a free and fair election,” said Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

Note that this does not bind Trump if he declares the election to not be free and fair.

But saying all this, if the election is not free and fair, why should anyone accept Trump as winner? Experience shows that incumbent leaders are normally those who fix elections in their favour.

I'm tired of all of this Trump crap. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up in January.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

This isn’t wholly true although it’s absolutely and purposefully misleading. The reporter asked Trump “win loose or draw” would he commit to a peaceful transfer of power. Why would Trump commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he wins?

Oh come on, are you serious? The reporter clearly meant, "whatever the result".

The question is will Trump commit to the transition if he loses. The signs are that he doesn't intend to.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Will the democrats peacefully accept the results when Trump wins? Recent history suggests they won't.

Actually all the Democrat politicians in the article are explicitly arguing in favor of peacefully respecting the election results regardless of who wins. As are Republicans. This is just about Trump.

There is a huge difference too between disputing the election results through legal means, which both sides have said they may do, and implying you’ll resort to illegal means (violence) of doing so, as Trump is.

Although the Republican Party (GOP) has been cowered by the strongman currently occupying the White House, there are still a few men and women in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate who will follow the U.S. Constitution and will abide by the results of the results of the November 3rd election.

The unfit current President of the United States of America (POTUS) continues regurgitating fake news, disinformation and misinformation, as he has before he was elected. Upon taking office on January 20, 2017 he has debased the nation with negative results for the country and the world at large.

The USA has been under an undeclared state of emergency since November 8, 2016. It will be lifted as soon as this fraud of POTUS is ejected from the White House.
