Well, yes, but... It's reported by NHK, so you can expect a level of scrutiny.

Actually No!

NHK like all the other MSM reported Russian missile hits Poland.

No verification, Facts they just repeated "sources" .

Well it wasn't Russia, was it?

So unless NHK has some concrete verifiable facts it is not reliable.

Umm, no. They are reporting this. And you disagree?

The United States and other Western nations say the missile may have been launched by Ukraine for air defense, but blame Russia.

Ukraine disagrees, saying Russia launched the missile.

So until that happens, Ukraine could stop firing missiles at Russian occupied nuclear power plants.

They aren't.

Oh and not firing missiles into Poland?

as the enemy is to the right side of your country on the map, not the left side.

You suggest it was intentional? It wasn't.

Wow talk about misunderstanding or deliberately misrepresentation of everything I wrote!

Nice try.

Russia is shelling its own troops at the nuclear power plant, Russia is blowing up its own pipeline, Russia is trying to draw NATO into the war by firing a rocket into Poland.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense...

Most of what Ruzzia has been doing in Ukraine makes that kind of sense.

Like flattening cities full of what they claim to be Russians, to 'save' them....

It makes no sense at all for Ukraine to try to blow up a nuclear plant in the middle of their own territory, essentially losing for generations way more land than the Ruzzians are ever likely to take.

Energoatom has continually complained they have no contact and have not been able to speak or communicate with their workers at the plant.

Again, sense comes into play here too. Energonatom are going advertise to the enemy that members of staff inside the plant have hidden phones or other means of communication. Yes, they're going do that. NOT.

So what you want us to believe is the NPP staff called up Energoatom told them everything but didn't tell the IAEA on site.

You really believe the Ukrainian workers on site are ever given the opportunity to talk with IAEA officials without a russian goon or three being present?

-1 ( +8 / -9 )

The US overthrew...

Incorrect. It was a popular Ukrainian uprising.

Yes, I know there were no US/Western troops on the ground.

The uprising was instigated and financed by the West. Distinction without a difference in the end result.

Why do I suspect this might be the case here? Simple, there is no named source, the only thing we hear is the vague, but positive sounding "Russia's independent media", not even the name of the outlet gets mentioned, which is rather weird, considering they do mention the Russian sources by name.

Well, yes, but... It's reported by NHK, so you can expect a level of scrutiny.

Renewed shelling threatens key Ukrainian nuclear plant:

Powerful explosions from shelling shook the site of Europe's largest nuclear power plant.

Hundreds of strikes hit Ukraine's energy facilities. Putin goes all out to paralyze nation's energy supply in the coming winter..

What next..?

Even better, Putin could stop attacking Ukraine.

Yes but he doesnt seem inclined to do that right now.

So until that happens, Ukraine could stop firing missiles at Russian occupied nuclear power plants.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Putin is responsible for the war and everything that is happening.

The US overthrew the democratically elected (yes, it was pro-Russian) government, starting what amounts to a civil war in Ukraine.

Incorrect. It was a popular Ukrainian uprising. They also had promised to look to join the EU, which they backtracked on, which lead to the uprising.

The Zaporizhzhia NPP operators work for Energoatom.

Yes and as most hear will keep repeating, Energoatom has continually complained they have no contact and have not been able to speak or communicate with their workers at the plant.

So unless suddenly this has changed Energoatom still hasn't a clue what is going on in or around the plant.

But somehow they know about the exact shelling locations even before the IAEA on site.

So what you want us to believe is the NPP staff called up Energoatom told them everything but didn't tell the IAEA on site.

Ok, sure.

Where are you getting that info from then you can post a link for us all to read.

As a result of the current shelling and provoked chaos at the ZNPP, Grossi told reporters that he has been in active consultations with world leaders and that a nuclear safety and security zone must be agreed upon and implemented immediately.

I have told you, Russia is increasing its effort as winter is near, a tactical advantage that they know how to handle very well...

Russia will win...

Some people just don’t know the facts and the truth is inescapable.

Russia will win the conflict for better or worse.

Face it…

FACT..

Russia's independent media say a battalion of Russian conscripts has been nearly wiped out in the eastern Ukrainian region of Luhansk.

The reports on Saturday cited a surviving soldier and others as saying that the death toll may exceed 500.

Ukraine's nuclear energy firm Energoatom accused the Russian military of shelling the site and said there were at least 12 hits on plant infrastructure.

> It said Russia had targeted the infrastructure necessary to restart parts of the plant in an attempt to further limit Ukraine's power supply.

From Reuters.

Now let's use logic not emotions.

Energoatom is not on site, they haven't been in charge for months and have Zero information directly.

So the question:

If Energoatom isn't present at the plant, how do they know exactly the number of hits and where?

Only the Russians at the site know and those that fired the shells know what was hit and targeted.

So basically Ukraine is telling us they fired the shells and what they fired at!

Renewed UA artillery shelling threatens key Zaporozhie nuclear plant.

How about headline like that?More clear, accurate and "mystery solved" one?

-5 ( +7 / -12 )

"someone" is shelling at nuclear power plants, which is under russian army control and with IAEA experts inside under protection of russian army.

They're called “Russians.”

Nope.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

The IAEA inspectors are currently in the plant under the protection of the Russian military, which controls the plant.

They know who is doing the shelling the Russian forces in the plant but it's politically incorrect to say that.

Hence the "whoever is behind this"

They know.

If I had Russian military pointing a gun at my head… sorry, I mean “protecting me”… I would be cautious about saying I knew the Russians were doing the shelling too!

> They're called “Russians.”

You said the same thing about the missile that hit Poland.

Oops, it was Ukraine and despite facts and proof and even the USA president saying it was a Ukrainian missile.

Ukraine and Zelensky still insist it was Russia.

So Russia is firing on itself to blame Ukraine despite all the dozens of times no western country or media believed them so they keep doing it, really you want people to believe that?

-4 ( +9 / -13 )

However, during this war, Ukraine have been proven to be far more reliable than Russia in the truth department

Wow.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Putin is responsible for the war and everything that is happening.

The US overthrew the democratically elected (yes, it was pro-Russian) government, starting what amounts to a civil war in Ukraine.

The US and NATO kept pushing for allowing Ukraine to join NATO.

So, the US is as much responsible for this as Putin.

-2 ( +9 / -11 )

Who knows, Antiquesaving. Do you? I mean to say, the Russians don't seem to show much sympathy for their own, let alone Ukrainians.

The Russians recognized the two republics as autonomous before they went in. The reason for recognizing them and going in was the continued shelling of the local Russian-speaking population there by the Ukrainian militants in the region.

You don’t have to take my word for this. The mainstream media used to report on these events and you will be able to find quite a few articles and video reports dating before 2020. I don’t know why but now all that has been suddenly forgotten.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

Russia is shelling its own troops at the nuclear power plant, Russia is blowing up its own pipeline, Russia is trying to draw NATO into the war by firing a rocket into Poland.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense...

-3 ( +9 / -12 )

The fact that the only people saying it is Russia firing on itself are the same people that said the missile that hit Poland was Russian namely Ukraine and western media.

But NATO, the USA president all said the missile was Ukrainian.

But nope Zelensky and the rest insist it is Russian and this was Russia.

-4 ( +11 / -15 )

What will those crazy war mongering Russians do next?! Crazy and dangerous.

Some people just don’t know the facts and the truth is inescapable.

-4 ( +10 / -14 )

well here we are again.

"someone" is shelling at nuclear power plants, which is under russian army control and with IAEA experts inside under protection of russian army.

simple question-who is shelling at nuclear power station in Zaporozhie?

i guess average reader with average IQ and common sense can answer this question very easy and fast.

I expect some protests from side of IAEA as this shelling is serious security threat, more serious than ukarinian S300 landed in PL.

-3 ( +10 / -13 )

Yrral,

just read this here:

*"The four-star general said during an appearance at the Economic Club of New York that a victory by Ukraine may not be achieved militarily, and that winter may provide an opportunity to begin negotiations with Russia."*

See those "mays"? That's how diplomatic talk works. Neither confirm, nor deny. And if there are peace talks they will be held under Ukraine's conditions! Just to mention a few points (easy to understand!): return of all occupied areas (including Crimea, etc), paying reparations, security guarantees, and quite a few more.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Ukrainians shelling their previously occupied nuclear plant?!?

Zelensky is showing the will to resist the Russians but damaging nuclear power plants is not advisable.

He needs to throw out his mindset that Ukraine will win the war against Russia-it ain’t gonna happen.

And it is also a chilling reminder that NPPs are vulnerable in war…

-6 ( +7 / -13 )

OK, General Milley say Ukraine has done ,all it can do,it time to negotiate

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

They are unwillingly to challenge Russia head to head, so a direct confrontation is off the table. (Bronco)

If that was the case, why are those RuSSian invaders retreating everywhere?

Oh, yeah, sure, another goodwill-gesture, like sinking their own ships, destroying their own tanks, eliminating their own troops (which, by the way is a fact), and so on.

So, let me say just this: Ukraine shelling their own power plant is highly unlogical. RuSSia shelling their own troops in that plant for yet another false flag event on the contrary highly plausible.

But: Ukraine will prevail! (bold letters)

-5 ( +10 / -15 )

To anyone who can set aside their anti-Russian biases, it's obvious that Ukraine are shelling the plant and not Russia. They are doing this in an attempt to force a militarized zone around the plant. A good explanation of the current situation is provided in (US) Colonel Douglas McGregor's latest discussion with Judge Napolitano on YT. Or you could continue to believe the 'truth' in the mainstream media.

0 ( +13 / -13 )

They may be firing FROM it but not at it.

Using the plant as a shield. Not really surprising.

-2 ( +11 / -13 )

Remember the Russian missile that landed in Poland last week? The one that turned out to be Ukrainian?

Russia is not firing shells or missiles AT the facility. They may be firing FROM it but not at it.

-4 ( +12 / -16 )

Ukrainain are dependent on others, while they do not have the means to help themselves, with limited options, while dependent on others

North Korea, Belarus, Iran… all countries with Russia has depended on, and Russia’s options are limited to missile and drone strikes now.

4 ( +11 / -7 )

A heavy barrage of Russian military strikes — almost 400 on Sunday alone. Some of those go astray.

Putin has fired more than 4,000 missiles at Ukrainian civilian targets.

6 ( +15 / -9 )

Ukrainain are dependent on others, while they do not have the means to help themselves, with limited options, while dependent on others

-6 ( +7 / -13 )

The idea that the Ukraine would shell its own plant knowing that it would be the largest surfer of fallout is so stupid as to call into question the basic cognition of the person claiming so.

The Russians on the other hand….

Well, it’s completely within their “burn it to the ground” doctrine, especially when they’re losing.

The Russian leaders have the same mentality as domestic violence perpetrators the world over: “If I can’t have you, no one will.”

And given their willingness to turn untrained, ill-equipped draftees into meat, the claim “but the Russians are in control!” Is doubly laughable.

2 ( +15 / -13 )

Putin recklessly keeps pushing the envelope down the throats of his neighbors and this latest move could easily boomerang... when the wind blows... Chernobyl was the beginning of the end for Gorby and the communists so the reported renewed shelling of Zaporizhzhia might blow back on Russia's gangster captalist regime and prove to be the ultimate downfall of Putin and his Kremlin cronies.

2 ( +11 / -9 )

They are unwillingly to challenge Russia head to head, so a direct confrontation is off the table.

Because doing so would escalate the war far beyond the borders of Ukraine and Russia. Exactly what a warmonger would like.

They seem to prefer outsourcing the fighting onto Ukrainians instead, while they sit back and flood the country with weapons.

and it’s worked. Russia is at a standstill. All they can do is fire missiles at Ukrainian infrastructure.

7 ( +15 / -8 )

Russia has full control of the plant, it can shut it down any time it can shut the power off anytime it can permanently sabotage it anytime.

But no Ukraine says Russia is firing on itself to shut off the power.

And the sad thing is people will believe that.
