Keep it coming, USA.

Another day in USA.

Two gun toting 'he-men' (in their own minds) get into a fight, and because they're carrying guns (because they're cowards) decide to shoot at each other with no regard for anyone else.

If an innocent was shot and killed, my condolences to their family, friends and community. If innocents were injured, knock wood they heal quickly.

How much will this cost taxpayers?

Hats off to all emergency personnel, especially those who put their lives on the line every single time they're on duty, knowing there are so many cowards and whacks on the streets carrying weapons.

Screw a bunch of talk about 'motive'. This, like all other shootings, happened because a coward (maybe 2) carrying a gun pulled the trigger. The more guns in circulations, the more cowards and outright whacks carrying guns, the more guns will be used. What a sick, sick country.

I'm so pleased I live in Japan.

Guns guns guns, the American way.

Heroin dealers. Just like in Amsterdam.

Land of the fee, home of the gun wielding. Fire that many times at the stars that spankled banner is going to fall and kill someone. The price of freedom does require large amounts of red and white blood. And a handgun, just to be freedom loving.

Rare to hear of a shooting in Seattle as opposed to Chicago or Baltimore...

Not anymore. Almost daily lately. Not as bad as some of the cities with the biggest problems, but getting worse. Where this happened has long been known as a place to buy street drugs. Where there are people buying and selling drugs, there are creeps with guns. And Seattle is an American city, ergo it's easy to get guns. The more guns in circulation, the more shootings. The only 'good guys' on the streets with guns are the police.

Settling a dispute using gun, over a Big Mac...i'm imagining the worst possible reason for the perpetrator to pull out his gun

two men were seen arguing on the street before pulling guns on each other and opening fire as pedestrians around them scattered for cover.

Welcome to America.

Washington state passed stricter gun control laws last year with 60% approval that have been in effect for 6 months. It raised the age, supports safes and trigger locks, added enhanced background checks for semi-automatic rifles along with added rules for mental patients who haven't been found mentally incompetent in court and existing felon laws. If police are called for domestic violence, firearms can be seized by police.

Seattle isn't the entire US any more than Yokohama represents all Japanese cities.

Where I live, I see police maybe 2 times a month, driving down a main road. They can't be everywhere.

An armed militia acting as a deterrent against tyranny; that’s the founding fathers ideal. In defence of their constitutional right to own guns, however, patriots have made a pact with the devil. Their intransigence towards limiting gun ownership, far from guaranteeing liberty, is implicated in its erosion. Too many guns in too many wrong hands will eventually boomerang back on all those who own guns for the right reason. If they’re really serious about freedom, they’d be well-advised to take the lead in separating their right to bear arms, from the non-existent right of all the others.

Another liberal policy run city out of control, this is insane.

Where there are people buying and selling drugs, there are creeps with guns. And Seattle is an American city, ergo it's easy to get guns. The more guns in circulation, the more shootings. The only 'good guys' on the streets with guns are the police.

Can’t argue with you there.

Democrat city with strict gun control laws. How does this happen?

Easy. Two Republican Confederates armed to the teeth (part of a well regulated militia) decided to see who could imitate theif hero John Wayne the best by firing at some "redskins" but sadly, they had failed geography class miserably and only realized later that they were in Washington state, not Washington D.C.

Don´t have a particular stake in this whole gun brouhaha, but I thought Seattle was a gun-free zone in a gun-free state full of woke voters, so gun crimes should not exist?

Democrat city with strict gun control laws.

You seem to be implying that there is a reason why this wouldn't happen in a democratic city in America with strict gun control laws.

Am I misreading that? And if so, what was the point of your statement? If not, then what is this implication you are making?

stranger:

You seem to be implying that there is a reason why this wouldn't happen in a democratic city in America with strict gun control laws.

Well yeah, the argument seems always to be that strict gun control laws as advocated by the democrats prevent this sort of thing. So now they don´t?

Well yeah, the argument seems always to be that strict gun control laws as advocated by the democrats prevent this sort of thing.

The left have never claimed people couldn't bring guns in from other states. So no, the argument doesn't always seem to be that.

You finally admit that every civilian with a gun is a bad guy. But you want civilians to have guns. Why do you want bad guys to have guns?

If only WilliB could get the true facts and news from real websites. I won't say what they are, of course, so don't ask me.
