It says one of the missiles landed near the Koreas' eastern sea boundary.

so in international waters where SK, USA and Japan are also firing missiles.

@Rodney, let get something straight. Our country never once fire any ballistic missiles before. Our self defense force does not even have any ICBM. The best training drills you might see from our Jsdf is maybe a few tanks firing shells in Hokkaido. So don't spout nonsense about our country firing any missiles into the sea.

Devastating shot (from the very well educated Japanese above)

16 ( +24 / -8 )

It looks like those crazy North Koreans are jealous by all of the attention their crazy Russians friends are getting.

16 ( +21 / -5 )

when there are US and southkorean missiles landing its called a military training.

when DPRK does same its called a security threat.

just to note that doublespeak difference

-14 ( +15 / -29 )

Regarding military, what a childish world Asia seems to be of late.

Why Japan, the Koreas and China can't get along and quit their military drills and rocket firing/testing.

'Mooooo-ooooomeee! These warmongering Yanks and S Koreans are it again! Na na goo goo ga ga!'

Of course, NK knows all about doublespeak. Communism is a form of totalitarianism and all those Big Brother chumps do is LIE. You can't trust a dictator turd like that.

Kimmyboy is in the back bleachers again, screaming his head off and throwing peanut shells and popcorns like the brat he is.

China still thinks they own Taiwan. Read what I posted above about NK and Marshmallow Head. And this just ain't in 'Asia' either. Russia is pulling its stupid Ukraine war based on excuses and lies. Let's not forget the Tigray war in Ethiopia going on right now too. Can anyone say WTH that really is about? Why are there these ethnic wars in central Africa? Middle East?

2 ( +10 / -8 )

We have made clear that we have no hostile intent towards (North Korea)

Hahahaha

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

Kim could not let the tragedy in Seoul go without making an appeal to his lack of consideration. Why not stop the warmongering at a time where the country mourns over 150 young people dying right? If anything the timing makes it a more powerful message of his complete lack of consideration.

5 ( +12 / -7 )

Surprised Kim hasn't given Putin some missiles to test. Maybe he's on Putin's shopping list after Iran.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Probably won't 'sink in' but I'll try anyway. A friend of mine is a pilot and trainer for a Taiwanese airline. He says NK missile launches (of all kinds) are a threat to civil aviation even for China origin/bound flights. Now go to a flight tracker web site and look at flights in/out of SK, Japan, HK, Vietnam and tell me NK shouldn't be rolled by what ever means.

NK is a rogue state, it's just so unfortunate that he has backers who are also turning rogue, ie China and Russia.

9 ( +17 / -8 )

Tedious news by now. NK firing missiles is not much of a threat. When they shell SK islands and villages, thatś worth getting worked up about.

Define rogue.

The US and it's allies are the ones routinely invading other countries and murdering people

The United States and South Korea began one of their largest combined military air drills on Monday, with hundreds of warplanes from both sides staging mock attacks 24 hours a day for the better part of a week.

The operation, called Vigilant Storm, will run until Friday, and will feature about 240 warplanes conducting about 1,600 sorties, the U.S. Air Force said.

Those missiles are obviously a response to the above (Kim stated he would respond if the exercises continued), which started yesterday.

Juvenile, trolling attention seeking from the man baby.

2 ( +12 / -10 )

Yeah let me practice attacking your house 24 hours straight, then watch me complain when you actually respond LOL

What do you expect?

When you take into account the bombs that the US rained down on the North during the Korean War (more than were used during the entire Pacific theater of WWII), no question as to who is making this a problem.

-6 ( +9 / -15 )

Leave the poor fishes alone Kimboy

1 ( +8 / -7 )

The time has come to relinquish the ambition to destroy the DPRK. It is about time to recognize the DPRK and sign a peace treaty with her.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

North Korea is not happy that Russia is buying missiles from Iran instead of North Korea. So it tests even more to get free publicity.

Russia must think the Iranian product is either superior, cheaper or both. Once Iran's stocks run low the Russians will turn to Kim for supplies. He just needs patience and to not waste money making missiles by sending them to the deep.

Iran will eventually face western sanctions that will restrict its missile manufacturing ability and then NK ordinance will become attractive.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

I see it a bit more pragmatic. If they fire a dozen senselessly into the sea, they by logic have now a dozen less for other purposes or targets. Maybe the solution is not to criticize but to encourage them even much more to get rid of their missiles until they have none left.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Hope their tit-for-tat game won't escalate into the real exchange of a barrage of missiles, destroying not only themselves but also the countries that are not directly involved. Isn't a regional conflict (possibly a nuclear war) a lose-lose game for all the mankind?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Kim is just another midget - like Putin - desperate to compensate for his lack of size by acting as deranged as possible. Despicable, sick little man.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Is Kim done with his stock of missiles, yet? Or wanted to waste couple of dozens more?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I will be glad, when the election is over, when the progressive caucus take power, and put oversight over the military

yeah. just think which decision will save more people now or in the future. no more egocentric decisions.

accept NK as a Nuclear Powerhouse just like Russia, China, France and even US.

what will the cost of acceptance? truce, treaties, diplomatic arrangements.

what will the cost of disturbance and opposition? people. children. land. history.

NK is a small country. accept it

NK has nuclear weapon. accept it

NK dont want to be under of someone. accept it

NK dont want US domination rules just like Russia and China. accept it

or your children will see no future.

the most dangerous type of people or animals are the cornered ones. they dont have anything to lose so they will go all out.

@legrande

not sure if you’ve read any history books, but I’ll give you a brief lesson - North Korea invaded South Korea in an unprovoked attack to begin the Korean War.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Putin has more manners than Kim, keeping his nuclear weapon as a last resort on a worst case scenarios.

i dont think Kim has that ego to think of others since NK has been isolated long time on diplomatic issues worldwide. surely he will go all out with his nuclear weapons.

US and SK may won the war. but no one will see a bright future...

Yes everyone is familiar with that popular narrative.

What they don't like admitting is that due to the US reinstating those Koreans (Aso Taro is going to meet their cronies who now hold power) who had collaborated with the Japanese to oppress fellow Koreans during Japans occupation of the peninsula there was strong resistance against the US presence in the South from 1945. This led to ever spiraling conflict between the majority of South Korean citizens against the US and the Korean elite collaborators which culminated in the massacre at Jeju of at least 10% of the population by American-trained forces as well as executions elsewhere in the South in 1948, at which point Kims grandfather decided enough was enough, when he heeded the call of ROK citizens and brought his military over the border.

Due to the fact (confirmed by US intelligence cables sent to Washington) that the majority of the Souths citizens were supporting the North, the US installed president Rhee put into motion the Bodo League project, through which tens of thousands (confirmed dead 100,000 and some estimate a million) of ROK citizens were rounded up, bound by their wrists by wire, led in lines to open clearings, made to kneel in front of ditches, shot in the back of the head, then pushed into the ditches upon other bodies, after which the next line of people were led to the ditches, line after line, including women and children. Bodo League incident, look it up.

As the US govt actively seeks to suppress this type of info because it upsets the whole popular narrative it may be that this post gets deleted.

So no, it was not an unprovoked situation.

South Korea must take a stand with this tyrant little kim, be as it may be Soul needs to send a deadly message to little kim by any means possible and if it takes or means eliminating him then let it be.

The people of the North Korea will be better off without this little THUG.

The NK's will party once the Kim family is no longer in power!! That means getting rid of all his offspring's including his Alfalfa looking sisters!!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Yes, go on, good boy, throw them all away into the sea. It’s not good for maritime environment, but at least again 23 missiles less that potentially could kill many innocent people.

Juvenile, trolling attention seeking from the man baby.

And what about that 'historic' handshake at the DMZ between Kimmyboy and that OTHER man-baby? You know, the one with his daughter-wife always accompianing him, says he's the 'Chosen One'?

Kimmy's pissed. No American loverboy, all the attention is focused on Pudding Head and his illegal stupid Ukraine war. Kimmy wants to make a scene and not getting enough attention. WAH.

Cheer up, cheer down, Marshmallow Head. You still have Dennis Rodman around, don't you?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

South Korean hypocrisy.

Few years ago South Korea running around threatening Japan with GSOMIA quit, leaving, if Korean Demands are not met.

Few years ago Japanese ships not allowed in South Korean ports because of our flag, Koreans upset and demand it's removal, which has changed in 2022, now it's ok.

What happened to all of that dear South Korea? You change so fast when in trouble! Not even trying to sell Japanese assets anymore and just pause to see Japanese reaction... hypocrite half a Korea. You feed on Japanese kindness.

Uhhhhh? The “progressive caucus” is 7 members on Congress. They will never take power since we (USA) is not and will not be a socialist country.

Speaking as a democrat.

The military has ALOT of oversight from congress.

Huh? There is no "ambition to destroy the DPRK". It is a distortion of history to say so. DPRK attacked and invaded ROK in 1950. DPRK almost won but UN sponsored military forces drove them back. There is an armistice but both nations remain in a state of war. US forces are now all that remain of the multi national UN force that fought in defense of the ROK and they are there to prevent DPRK from re-invading ROK again, not to destroy DPRK.

Daughter-wife. Lol. Makes me think of his creepy reply when Howard Stern asked him on his radio show if he thought his daughter was a "piece of ___"?

And guess who benefits from all this chaos and threats of war, filling his coffers with Japanese money and exporting his weapons to make the environment in the far east more chaotic, this is how it tries to maintain his convenient and selfish control..
