President Yoon Suk Yeol haplessly recklessly walked into a political bear trap of his own making.

Fully investigate before throwing tantrums that could/will have far reaching regional geopolitical repercussions.

Let's see if want-to-be-tin-can-dictator voluntarily leaves the presidential Blue House. My vote would be on more drama before this ends.

As I said on another thread he definitely has to go, but I really do hope his successor doesn't throw away all the good work he did with Japan relations. The Democratic Party in particular is notorious for doing this.

Today is a big day, this is a TV drama not even Hollywood directors can made. "Yoon" this little guy he does like tough talks but today is his last day in power and of course the last day of Korea & Japan honeymoon, a fake romance that will brought a catastrophe to Asia.

Lee Jae Myung, the next president of South Korea he is the hope of that country. Only China can leading most of Asia countries to be independent and defiance, Lee choose the right path and he will put Yoon behind bars !

I don't think Donald Trump cares the Biden administration of defense posture in Asia, he just cares about money and trade. With South Korea breaking away, Japan should know she is alone and don't mess with China or Russia!

He was also a US puppet. Notice the silence from the US, saying they had 'no idea' about Yoon's decision to impose martial law. The US controls everything in South Korea as it does in Japan. There is NO way US didn't know. In fact, Yoon was most likely doing this under US orders. They flew drones over North Korea, hoping to push NK into attacking. NK's response was to send balloons filled with trash - a non-violent response. North Korea did not fall for the trap. Watch out for more false flags from the US. They'll probably do a Marcos and let him flee to Hawaii to stop him from revealing too many secrets. Or, they might throw him under the bus. I'm guessing the latter, judging from history.

The courage and integrity shown by Korean politicians in impeaching a morally compromised president puts to shame the craven and corrupt Republicans who by twice refusing to impeach a criminal president twisted into a pretzel their oath to defend the constitution and put the yellow banana into the American republic.

Yoon was great for Japanese-Korean relations. 

No he wasn’t! He was only good if you look at it from the Japanese side. He looked like a puppet of the Japanese Government. He acted like he was way way below the Japanese PM every time they met. The majority of South Koreans were grinding their teeth at his actions and even the younger generation started to hate him. He made pleasing the Japanese Government his priority instead of safeguarding the interests of the South Koreans!

At least the people of South Korea hold their politicians accountable,not like the people of Japan do not hold theirs accountable

In the first impeachment document, endangering Korea's national security by kowtowing to Japan while burning down bridges with Russia, China, and North Korea was listed as an impeachable offense.

This charge was removed in the second impeachment document, but this illustrates how the Democratic party views relationship with Japan. Improving relations with Japan is a treason.

Ironically, this is the reason why Korea's liberals are big time militarists who spend big to build the 5th most powerful military in the world, they need a strong military to protect Korea from an unrepentant war criminal nation like Japan.

You have a rich fantasy life. The US has no control over the politics of either nation. It goes with the flow of whichever party is in power in each nation. Both nations have interests that overlap with those of the US that creates fertile ground for cooperation. That in no way implies any degree of control by the US. Just as with the Philippines either South Korea or Japan could tell US forces to leave and the US would. But as with the Philippines you might regret that decision when face to face with China.
