The dirty little secret is that the spat of recent attacks against innocent people of Asian descent are not due to systemic white supremacy. But the disinformation campaign does do much to promote the Lefts divisive and discriminatory “equity” campaign.

“For the life of me, I don’t understand why we are releasing or pushing people out of prison — not to give them second chances, but to put them into homeless facilities or shelters, or in this case a hotel — and expect good outcomes,” Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said at a news conference Wednesday. “We need real opportunities. We need real safety nets.”

This is the usual angle adopted when suspects are pocs: blame society and the lack of social services. Despite millions given annually to such services. This story, I believe will run a short course, like the Atlanta shooting, because it doesn’t lend to the desired narrative: white nazi Trump supporters are out committing racially motivated hate crimes at the behest of Trump. This demonstrates how far from reality leftist ideology is from reality, and the dangerous consequences as a result of negligence towards the truth.

Totally agree, Roger Stone comes to mind.

Glad this criminal has been caught, that lifetime parole needs to be turned into life in prison!!!!

Good grief! The statement you quoted is from the police commissioner of NYC. A demonstration of leftist ideology? NO. The Commissioner is saying something he sees happening in the streets of the city, and making a comment of reason based on his experience and knowledge, over some ideology.

The worst thing about what you write is you don't have a clue what the guy's ideology because you don't know who this person is, and because of this, you expose the worst in your own ideology and bias in an attack on the commissioner who made a comment of empathy and concern.

And by the way...Police Commissioner Dermot Shea is a Republican elected to office.

Elliot was convicted of stabbing his mother to death in the Bronx in 2002, when he was 19.

Jeeze. Shooting from 10 feet away is one thing but stabbing, especially your own mother, just seems more brutal and inhumane to me. I think the lady he attacked is lucky to be alive.

This man is probably not an atypical resident of NYC. New York City, America's 'Greatest' City. In reality to live there, it's a complete SH and its residents (see: Media) actually brag about how bad it smells, how dirty it is, and how degenerate (see: NYC subway) the people, including the police, have become.

"This year in New York City, there have been 33 hate crimes with an Asian victim as of Sunday."

And given the mentalities of the tr##pists doing the abuse, I would guess that the victims they choose are mostly defenseless women. But, for most thinking Americans, I suspect the saddest thing, and for me the most unexpected, is that this is Black on Asian. Someone has successfully pointed Mr. Elliot's murderous hostility in the WRONG direction, but that's their business model, what they are paid well to do...

The guy sounds like an uneducated schizophrenic who forgot his medication.

Wish I didn’t watch the video. Glad my Asian partner studies self defense.

What an awful man.

what would Trump have to do with this incident? absolutely nothing. but thanks for playing.

what would Trump have to do with this incident?

This is actually answered in the article:

The surge in violence has been linked in part to misplaced blame for the coronavirus pandemic and former President Donald Trump’s use of terms like “Chinese virus.”

The way the guard calmly looks out and closes the door is even more chilling than the attack itself. Depraved indifference to the suffering of that poor woman.

What a scene of depravity.

Asian Lives Matter Too

Glad this guy was finally caught

Bingo! Completely destroys that debunked narrative.

History of violence.

History of violence is putting it lightly. The guy stabbed his own mother to death. Still trying to understand how someone can do that.

After being warehoused in prison since he was 19 for almost two decades and then ejected onto the street with no support, his sudden outburst of random aggression and violence should surprise no-one. The American system of incarceration and rehabilitation has never been fit for purpose, but the government's policy of parsimony makes no sense economically or socially: fixing a broken system saves dollars and makes sense. Now Mr Elliot will go back in to rot for many more years, all on the taxpayers' tab.
