Still, that's no justification to kill strangers who did nothing to you

Agreed, but I don't think the shooter is even contemplating justification. He would never be able to justify his abhorrent actions.

He has simply lost control of his emotion...and I suspect there are underlying mental health issues.

RIP to the victims.

Guns, soldiers and bitter disputes. Not a good combination.

Sometimes, people prefer just to go down the emotive route and lash out.

...and lash out at innocent bystanders at that.

Seems to me like he may have underlying mental health issues.

...good for nothing deadbeat...

Emoting and cursing don't enlighten us one iota, but to know and understand this man's story might help us find an answer as to why he ran amok and take measures to deal more effectively with mental health issues. As a soldier serving "society" he was very much involved with guns 'n' violence and fits perfectly the profile of a usual suspect. Guns are not cool in the hands of the mentally unstable so there is good reason to be afraid of rogue cops and soldiers.

Very true. But it takes a certain amount of open mindedness and a willingness to delve into such matters. Sometimes, people prefer just to go down the emotive route and lash out.

Yet another good for nothing deadbeat who should have done humanity a favor and turned his gun on himself before all these innocent people were massacred.

Rest in Peace to the many killed and hope the injured pull through.

Still, that's no justification to kill strangers who did nothing to you. To make it worse, killing kids means that some children would never grow up. And if in this case there are child survivors that could mean PTSD later in life for them. This is inexcusable.

In Thailand, gun violence is much more common than in Japan.

Thais with access to weapons use them for petty grievances that escalate out of control-not so uncommon.

Horrible. Hopefully this is resolved quickly without further tragedy.

That's why he needs to be in a mental hospital so he's not a danger to himself or others. Mentally ill people need help. Prison and executions are NO solution.
