Been to that station several times, also to the airport where the other attack was.

I feel like its getting closer and closer.

Again as I point out again and again, people's actions are informed by their belief.

You can argue all day the merit or "correctness" of their set of beliefs not matter what they are, but it doesn't change them believing what they do, and attributing their actions to it.

The question isn't really what religion are you, but more, is the set of beliefs you hold more important than other peoples lives, if the answer is ever yes then we are on a dangerous path.

Before committing suicide why is it always necessary for these radicals to invoke God's name ?

Do they really believe that their 'God' is really going to be that interested.....?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

No, kurispusu, it's just a fashion, like the clothes and the beard.

And 'Allah' (meaning 'the male deity')  is only one of the names that different languages and religions use to indicate an intelligent power that some people sense and others do not.

Before committing the act of barbarity, they want to remind themselves why they're doing it: to get into heaven. Notwithstanding the warped theology of this mindset, it's ultimately an act of selfishness, of putting themselves ahead of anything and anyone else, and in that sense, idolatrous.

Didn't we just have a terror attack the other day? Dear lord.....

The people just don't get it.

After Paris, that's 2 ISIS fails this week

Note their overzealous claims have been quiet

LLostrune,

PPretty amazing someone down voted your comment. I guess we have a supporter of Daesh right here on JT.

The MadBeards are decimated. Sure they're going to continue to vomit up their cowardly violence but they're clearly on the run and in decline.

The tolerance level for Islamic terrorism in western europe is staggering. I wonder what it is that brings people to accept these outrages and steel themselves for the inevitability of more.

The same thing that a recently paralysed person must feel - acceptance of something beyond your control. I don't think this constitutes as tolerance per se. The "lone wolf" principle "works". Any loser may apply.

Kestrel.

I would say 2+millenia of infighting, etc.

Recall a fat book of historical maps(used at school) showing how borders, ownership, etc changed over the time.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

I rest my case.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

"....and steel themselves for the inevitability of more."

And it was never "inevitable." Few people want to acknowledge that the crisis was preventable, as it's a direct result either of policymakers' neglect or deliberate efforts to create a different kind of society (while withholding the issue from public discourse).

Europe's reckless and irresponsible policymakers who created this situation need to be held accountable.

pretty simple. Weak, cowardly leftist politicians and media have made any and all criticisms of Muslims and immigration verboten.

In Europe, you will immediately be accused of being racist, Islamaphobic etc if you even show concern over the countless Islamic terror attacks.

The situation is completely insane and sad to watch because everyone knows the next deaedly attack is only days away.

JeffLee, Clamenza, I agree completely.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

We consider this a terrorist attack

No, you don´t say! You mean it wasn´t a workplace incident or a gun control issue?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

What is CNN is fake news in Arabic? Nothing at all on their main homepage about this attack.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Blacllabel, well , you see, it could offend muslims - even though " the vast majority of muslims " are against such acts. go figure.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Yeah we were so concerned about bending over backwards in sympathy and concern the one time a Muslim was attacked. Unfortunately all that has already been overshadowed by 3 more Islamic terrorist attacks already since then.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

3.8 percent of the population - and already so much trouble and killing. god help us when the numbers increase which Merkel and co are bent on making happen.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

not being from the U.K. I had no idea it was that bad. I wish I had an answer but it seems almost too late. It would require actions that few are willing to take and that none in government will support.

USA not any better off, Trump can't even get a 120 day travel ban much less do things that would be even more impactful.

Politicians and media don't seem to have the will to do anything but pray it doesn't happen today and report on it when it does.

The worst year for terrorism-related deaths in the UK was 1988, when 372 people died. The majority of these died in the Lockerbie disaster, when 270 were killed as a Pan Am transatlantic flight was destroyed by a bomb.

Zichi - Give it a rest. You keep repeating the same useless information that has nothing to do with the current situation.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

No, but I've lived through denials and deflection.

Its 2017, not 1978 and Britain is under attack from radical Islamic terrorists seeking cultural dominance, not Irishmen seeking independence

I agree.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Zichi - you just supplied a stat suggesting a much smaller % of the population is responsible for twice the amount of attacks than any other group. Touché.

And I seriously doubt you speak for all of the UK. A casual look at the news shows a great many Britains share the same concerns I do

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Zichi - if you think for a second those who are very concerned or outraged at Muslim terrorism in Britain only in "extreme blogs and that sort of thing" , then you have your head in the sand and have been cowed by your PC overlords.

sad..

Thise who don't recognize the problem are the problem just as much as the next suicidal terrorist who will attack in the coming weeks.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Actually, Zichi. Strike that. I just thought of a link that will explain all very clearly...

BREXIT

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

So many positive sights like people running with bottles of water for the immigrant muslim survivors. Thousands and tens of thousands of clothing, shoes prams, bedding and furniture donated. The true spirit of the people.

This, in a nutshell. The online preachers of hate will never understand the British people. This is why they spread their hatreds, invent scenarios and wish more terror upon them. Like the terrorists who also wish to exploit and foster division; they will never win.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Oops, sorry, don't know why that all came out in bold!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

zichi- Interesting that Sadiq Khan finally managed to show compassion for a terrorist attack - when it turned out to be a white guy for a change!

Sorry, but the ship has sailed on "Moderate Muslims are Uncle Toms" Khan. Funny how Islamic terror is "just something we have to live with", but when 1 white guy acts out in response to the dozens of Islamic attacks, rapes etc, he suddenly finds his voice.

By the way, your 500% stat is beyond parody.

You miss the point once again..

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

There's only one terror apologist here; the one who dismissed the IRA as "Irishmen seeking independence".

That promoter of hatred and division gloated over the London attacks and hopes for more attacks.

That promoter of hatred and division also hoped for the deaths of a poster and his friends.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

zichi - apologies all around. I get my British Islamic terror attacks all confused..

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Well, all I can say is I hope all terrorists are caught, no matter what rock they are living under. Islamic terrorism, whether it be in Brussels, London, Manchester or Paris or Cologne or Nice or.....oh what the hell, I just hope Interpol are on their game!

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Zichi, I hardly think someone acknowledging that its only a matter of time (and not much time I may add) until another islamic terrorist incident constitutes gloating. its just reality.

Things are already PC hell. If its verboten to even state the obvious, because the pc crowd finds it offensive, we might as well immigrate to germany.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Oh Zichi....How do you explain this;

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/most-europeans-want-muslim-ban-immigration-control-middle-east-countries-syria-iran-iraq-poll-a7567301.html

Most Europeans want a full immigration ban from Muslim-majority countries. The % is close to 50% in the UK.

You DON'T speak for the UK

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

sorry, that should obviously read a 35% UNfavorable opinion on Muslim immigration

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

I think world peace, etc can be achieved by simply getting rid of all countries. One world = one country with local governments.

EU, UN, Nato, trade agreements would all fall away or be changed Free Travel for all.

Armies could be changed into a police force.

No more need to pay for big governments(local now), military spendings, border controls, etc.

Just a dream I know.

zichi and clamenza, please stop bickering.

Even the EU admits the refugees flooding into Europe are "Economic Refugees"
