If Cohen has corroborating evidence to support his assertions, his felony conviction for dishonesty is not as damaging as the Trumpophiles will be screeching on this thread.

Let the games begin!

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. The jig’s up Mr. Trump.

16 ( +20 / -4 )

He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time.

Creepy when someone refers to himself in the third person. But as Chip says, documentation doesn't lie. And then there were allusions to crimes he was not at liberty to discuss. Little has sunk in yet, but this is devastating.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

One compulsive liar testifying against another compulsive liar.

Check everything these two swamp creature say.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

“... ran for office to make his brand great, not to make our country great”

Nutshell. And now trump’s in Vietnam pushing his and Ivanka’s brand names. All expenses paid by theUS taxpayers. Has Trump released his current tax info so the public can learn about his numerous investments?

I wonder if trump will re-tell his stories about avoiding STDs while his daddy was paying for his military deferments so he and his fellow privileged class wouldn’t have to serve their country but still live large off their daddies investments in war industries.

Trump's former lawyer Cohen calls him 'racist, conman, cheat'

These attributes are a big part of his appeal to many of his supporters. And as Jimizo says, Cohen was perfectly happy to cash this "racist, conman, & cheat's" paychecks for years. Obviously, if there is evidence substantiating these claims, great, but let's all agree Cohen is a dung beetle.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

were we expecting a fired employee to say GOOD things about the boss who fired him?

-11 ( +6 / -17 )

Cohen was perfectly happy to cash this "racist, conman, & cheat's" paychecks for years. Obviously, if there is evidence substantiating these claims, great, but let's all agree Cohen is a dung beetle.

This was only in dispute when Trumpophiles were singing Cohen's praise.

Trump's former lawyer Cohen calls him 'racist, conman, cheat'

Yeah! Look at that headline

MSM / Dem / Lanny Davis success!

Whada friggen circus.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

I have lied but I am not a liar. Says the star witness who was coached by Dems on the committee prior to his testimony.

Still never been to Prague. Still no collusion. Still Cohen reporting to jail.

-16 ( +4 / -20 )

Yeah! Look at that headline

MSM / Dem / Lanny Davis success!

Whada friggen circus.

Making a judgment with a conspiracy theory-oriented mind.

I have lied but I am not a liar. Says the star witness who was coached by Dems on the committee prior to his testimony.

Look, another conspiracy theorist. When we have zero facts, we just toss out a conspiracy theory.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

his statement that he isn’t a liar and that he met with Cummings and Schiff before his testimony are established in his testimony. It is he lying again?

Cohen says he spoke to House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff about what topics would be covered in Wednesday's hearing https://

You really gotta stop screaming conspiracy theory about things a 30 second google search can prove to be true. And no one is outraged and the only thing manufactured is cohens lies before that all comes up again.

-12 ( +4 / -16 )

Nice to hear an associate of Trump tell the truth for once.

Rare things happen.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

You really gotta stop screaming conspiracy theory about things a 30 second google search can prove to be true.

Odd that you'd make this statement but fail to provide a link.

And no one is outraged and the only thing manufactured is cohens lies before that all comes up again.

See the very first post on the thread.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Odd that you'd make this statement but fail to provide a link.

Nice link that demonstrates zero coaching occurred.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

On a historical note, this was apparently the first time that someone convicted of lying to congress has been invited back to testify before congress.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Meanwhile, the economy is booming, unemployment is at record lows and previously struggling citizens are prospering.

-15 ( +4 / -19 )

So, Trump's a criminal. What else is new ?

9 ( +11 / -2 )

It sounds like all interesting stuff and a reiteration of what we already know. I do not like Trump but the rumors/allegations do not do much for me. He provides enough evidence himself to indicate he is really not fit to be President.

I am interested in hard evidence (for example the actual checks being presented, etc.)

https://www.axios.com/michael-cohen-house-oversight-hearing-donald-trump-check-ce7e71bd-15fc-4bf5-b50a-8d6e581603fe.html

No matter how you look at it (whether it is an honest and true investigation or a so-called "witch hunt") none of this is good for the U.S. or the citizenry.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Cohen isn't offering up anything we don't already know in his testimony. If what he said is his best and final, no wonder Mueller didn't offer no jail time.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

On a historical note, this was apparently the first time that someone convicted of lying to congress has been invited back to testify before congress

You might want to check your facts on that.  Key words are: "lying to congress", "GWH Bush", "sacked" and "US representative to Venezuela".

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Meanwhile, the economy is booming, unemployment is at record lows and previously struggling citizens are prospering.

And trains ran on time under Mussolini.

12 ( +16 / -4 )

Spoke in advance with Dems about what topics would be covered. Didn’t do the same with Repubs. That’s what he testified and what the link shows. Not enough for you? Why would he need to talk to them before a public hearing to answer their questions and discuss “topics”? Making dinner reservations?

Nope, coaching. Be ready for this question, don’t worry about that question. Obvious.

So cohen still lying about Prague?

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Trump's former lawyer Cohen calls him 'racist, conman, cheat'

Ouch!!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Old right-wing taunt: If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and associates only with ducks, it must be a duck. President T walks and talks like a crook, and all of his associates are crooks. He is in fact a crook.

It's not just Cohen's testimony, it corroborates Weisselberg info and he has documents! The WH, the RNC and the GOP will all his testimony but the American people will have to make up their own minds.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

The “racist” allegation was especially weak and unproven by any evidence. Spent thousands of hours together and all you have is one supposed remark that you as a convicted liar expect people to believe?

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

Heh, beat me to it, SimondB. The spin and deflection from the Trumpists will be turned up to the max today.

The revelations are not all new but they do highlight the sheer gall of the criminals in power.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

See what happens when you lie to cover for Trump?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Trump's former lawyer Cohen calls him 'racist, conman, cheat'

So where is the bombshell?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

That was fun! So basically we really didn’t learn anything from this Democrat led Operatic piece. For the TDS haters nothing has changed you’re still going to hate the guy, if you’re a supporter, it won’t change a darn thing, you’ll find it amusing watching a habitual liar compose.

The “racist” allegation was especially weak and unproven by any evidence. Spent thousands of hours together and all you have is one supposed remark that you as a convicted liar expect people to believe?

Thank you!

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

At the end of the day Cohen was a huge disappointment. The only thing he did was reconfirm everything we already knew about Trump and added no extra value.

Trumps character flaws were always common knowledge and this guy is just wasting time to either delay his prison term or to remain relevant.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Cohen, in response to GOP ad hominem attacks, stated:

I did the same thing that you're doing now. For 10 years. I protected Mr. Trump for 10 years. The more people follow Mr. Trump — as I did blindly — are going to suffer the same consequences that I'm suffering.

Perhaps Cohen has achieved a sort of peace through his travails. But again, the question is how many will be so foolish to allow themselves to be taken down with him.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

The sickly fraudster and draft dodger PotUS used his charity's money to buy a portrait of himsel, according to Cohen. The sheer vanity and wrongness of this.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/feb/27/michael-cohen-testimony-trump-painting-foundation-money

Trump Jr in jeopardy over that check to Stormy Daniels

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/feb/27/donald-trump-jr-stormy-daniels-payment-michael-cohen-testimony-hearing-latest

And most importantly, Trump has always denied knowing about the hack of Democratic emails, but now we're getting closer to the truth:

Cohen is the first Trump associate to publicly allege that the president had inside information about WikiLeaks releasing Democratic emails, which US intelligence agencies say were hacked by Russian operatives working to help Trump’s campaign. Trump received the information on WikiLeaks in the days before the Democratic party convention July 2016 in a telephone call from Roger Stone, his longtime friend and adviser, according to Cohen, who said the call was placed on speakerphone.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Send him to jail now hes had his say it was all common knowledge anyhow.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump supporters don't care, so blinded by their allegiance to whatever the cause is supposed to be he could literally do anything and they would say but about Hillary or something similar.

He is gross and horrible but thats what people voted for and got. I can only hope the dems don't split their support too much and put up a good candidate and win next round.

People have to start being interested in whats actually true, because this opinion as fact make your own interpretation is dragging the entire world down, and unfortunately that problem is bad on both "sides".

10 ( +12 / -2 )

He presented evidence of Trump violating campaign finance laws. It's pretty simple to understand. Since the trump supporters are 100% clear in their opinion that Trump should be protected from legal prosecution and can do things like this, they must also agree that Trump should be allowed to shoot someone in the face on national tv and continue to walk free. A crime is a crime, doesn't matter who you are.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Either way, Cummings has stated that he believes Cohen and that Trump has committed crimes. He also said he would be "effective and efficient" in dealing with Trump's prosecution. Take that however you like it, Trump's gonna have a hard time getting out of this one.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

This testimony was great - more entertaining than any episode of The Apprentice...

Cohen: "I am ashamed because I know what Mr. Trump is. He is a racist. He is a conman. He is a cheat,"

Ann Coulter: "He's an idiot, lazy, incompetent, and a wimp"...

Rex Tilltertson: "He's a ____moron"...

Gen MCMaster: "He's an idiot and a dope"

Gen Mattis: "He has the understanding of a fifth or sixth grader"....

Gen Kelly: 'He's a danger to the republic" and "unhinged"...

Bannon: "He's like an 11 year old child"...

These folks that know or or have worked for Trump sure have nailed his character...

And Cohen implicated him in at least five felonies today - and that was that only on the topics he was allowed by Mueller and the US Southern District Attorney to testify on...

Dimwit Donnie is in deep doo-doo...

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Chip Star - Look, another conspiracy theorist. When we have zero facts, we just toss out a conspiracy theory.

You've summed up todays performance by Cohen. Cohen was, is, and will forever be, a proven liar. Elected Democrats staged todays circus as a continuation of their "resist" movement. What can Cohen expect in exchange for todays performance? A shorter sentence? A cell with a window? A movie, or book, deal?

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Laguna: But again, the question is how many will be so foolish to allow themselves to be taken down with him.

Lots and lots and lots is my guess.

I can't imagine any opinions were changed today. Everyone already knew Trump was a racist, scammer, and a liar. We just have a certain section of Americans that are able to put that aside, and others who won't. That's all it really boils down to.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

The “racist” allegation was especially weak and unproven by any evidence.

There's evidence on camera of Trump being racist to Mexicans, migrants, Native Americans, Muslims. We've all seen it.

This isn't going to go away, you know.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

I don't know about racist so much but birds of a feather flock together. You can say the same thing about most everybody in DC.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

A movie, or book, deal?

Ah yes, the book deal. The Trumpist echo chamber is strong today.

Or should I say, desperate?

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Toasted Heretic - Ah yes, the book deal. The Trumpist echo chamber is strong today.

Or should I say, desperate?

Cohen himself mentioned that there have been discussion about movie and book deals.

Maybe Cohen was lying when he testified that there had been discussions about movie and book deals?

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

LagunaToday  09:10 am JST

Cohen, in response to GOP ad hominem attacks...

It's been observed that ad hominem attacks was just about all the GOP had:

“The interesting thing is that there hasn’t been one Republican yet who’s tried to defend the president on the substance," Christie told ABC This Week host George Stephanopoulos, analyzing Cohen’s ongoing congressional testimony. “And I think that’s something that should be concerning to the White House.”

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Hillarious testimony to Congress today by Cohen. He is going to jail because he lied to Congress - right? Hope he is careful picking up the soap in the shower. I think Trump just picked up two percentage points in the vote in 2020.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Maybe Cohen was lying when he testified that there had been discussions about movie and book deals?

Cohen lie to Congress? Say it ain’t so!

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Dems /leftys clutching at straws and “wanting to believe”.

Cohen is a proven liar. Credibility zero.

A circus sideshow for the credibly challenged.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

He has an honest face and came across as trustworthy and sincere........

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Prague? Your whole dossier our the window.

trump wasn’t even trying to win, just brand exposure. There goes your collusion with Russia. Cohen has no proof of it, just suspicions.

trump directed Cohen lie to congress. Nope.

cohen didn’t want to be chief of staff. Lie- he did.

WikiLeaks publicly announced they had mails well before the date of supposed phone call. Too bad.

cohen also testified to a new personal crime he hadn’t been charged with yet. Classic.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Still no evidence of "collusion", or Russian blackmail, no obstruction of justice, no love child, no drug use, or confirmation of Cohen's having visited Prague or anywhere else in the Czech Republic. Elected Democrats have really become desperate. Their years of investigations have failed to actually produce any actual evidence that they could use to impeach Trump.

Todays lead witness for the Democrats is a proven liar. It's proven that Cohen has lied to Congress before, so Democrat members of Congress decided it would be good idea to give Cohen yet another chance to lie to Congress. Did Democrats actually believe that Cohen's testimony would give credibility to their hearing?

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Cohen, the Republican president's onetime "fixer," said he had no direct evidence that Trump colluded with Moscow

Yet another dud! Who woulda thought!

Everyone already knew Trump was a racist, scammer, and a liar. We just have a certain section of Americans that are able to put that aside, and others who won't. That's all it really boils down to.

We just have a certain section of people who say that over and over again, refusing to admit that's not true. That's what it really boils down to.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

The truth shall set you free. but he is NOT free, He is a convicted liar that will be going to prison soon, and President Trump will still be in the Oval Office "Making America Great Again" !! This is not spin, this is reality! Wake up Dems, Why didn't Pelosi participate in this charade??? Soul search Democrats, maybe you can figure that one out by yourself.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Article from the left about the GOP at the hearing. Nice writing:

The Republican Party Completely and Utterly Disgraced Itself at Michael Cohen's Hearing

https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a26558985/republicans-michael-cohen-hearing-disgrace-trump/

"For two years, you want to talk about an agenda, my friends on the other side (Republicans) refused to bring any of these people up before the committee. Today, for the first day, we have one witness who voluntarily is coming forward to testify. Your side ran away from the truth and we're trying to bring it to the American people."

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Maybe Cohen was lying when he testified that there had been discussions about movie and book deals?

As I said, the desperation.

It's sad, bigly sad, that this is the focus of Trumpists today. Not the hush money, the Democrat hack, the charity funds, the racism, or any of the other major points made - but a book or movie deal.

As predicted, the spin and deflection from the Trumpists will be turned up to the max today.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

@SimondB

You might want to check your facts on that. Key words are: "lying to congress", "GWH Bush", "sacked" and "US representative to Venezuela".

Elliot Abrams comes close to being the first convicted liar to reappear before congress, but not quite. Unlike Cohen, Abrams was never actually charged or convicted of perjury for his prior congressional testimony (even though he probably could have). Abrams only plead guilty to a misdemeanor of 'willful failure to answer questions pertinent to a Congressional inquiry'.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Very telling that the Trumpets love a liar when he's their liar, but then claim the person cannot be trusted when the liar turns.

They don't have a problem with liars, they have a problem with people who stop lying for their team.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

He is a convicted liar that will be going to prison soon,

Yes, all the more reason to hear his testimony before he's out of sight.

and President Trump will still be in the Oval Office "Making America Great Again" !!

Nobody, not one single Trumpist has been able to tell me what this mindless mantra actually means.

I can only guess that it means keep the citizens diverted whilst the elite shaft them, repeatedly.

Hard to believe some Americans are proud of this criminal PotUS and his organisation.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

The Trumpets sure are getting more vocal in their insistence there is nothing there, even within the tsunami of information that shows there definitely was.

Yet these people went on a years long mission to claim Hillary was guilty, even when their own committees repeatedly found there is nothing.

They have shown themselves to be entirely pathetic examples of humanity. The stuff I scrape off my shoe when not paying attention while walking through the dog park has more integrity than these people.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Its incredibly mind boggling, Trump supporters claim everything damaging Cohen said a lie and everything that proves innocence the truth. What do you people actually believe? You can't just pick and choose, Is it all lies? Or is it the truth? If its all lies, then Trump didn't partake in campaign finance violations but he was involved in conspiring with Russia to win the presidency. If its all truth, that means Trump violated campaign finance laws and Cohen never went to Prague and the only thing convicting Trump of Russian collusion could be a testimony from Stone or something in the Mueller report (which we don't know yet). So take your pick, either way, Trump's a criminal.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Did any of the Trump supporters on here actually watch the entire hearing? It is absolutely amazing to see the Republican party deny anything presented by Cohen, even when the actual evidence is presented before their eyes. The fear in their voices is astounding.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Cohen is a proven liar. Credibility zero.

Fair enough. But he did call Trump a racist, a conman and a cheat, which we know to be true due to the overwhelming amount of publicly available corroborating evidence.. So at least some of what he is saying seems reliable, though I agree that we have to take the stuff that can't be supported by such an overwhelming amount of verifiable evidence should be treated with skepticism.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

But people aren't criminals until they are found guilty in a court of law, so which criminal case did Trump lose? I don't see any guilty findings for Trump.

OTOH, this same definition helps people illegally crossing into the USA.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

And Cohen implicated him in at least five felonies today

And how much credibility does Cohen have at this point?

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Toasted Heretic - It's sad, bigly sad, that this is the focus of Trumpists today. Not the hush money, the Democrat hack, the charity funds, the racism, or any of the other major points made - but a book or movie deal.

Spin it all you want, but there were no "other major points made". Cohen actually did testify that movie and book deals were discussed. Cohen said it, and you deny it. Who should I believe?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Deadforgood - Its incredibly mind boggling, Trump supporters claim everything damaging Cohen said a lie and everything that proves innocence the truth. What do you people actually believe? You can't just pick and choose, Is it all lies? Or is it the truth?

What is know is that Cohen is a proven liar and that he is going to prison. Will the Mueller report validate any of the claims made by Cohen today? Or should Democrats just assume that the proven liar Cohen was totally honest today?

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

And Cohen implicated him in at least five felonies today

And how much credibility does Cohen have at this point?

Cohen has no credibility - he's a disgusting sleeze bag - you know, just like Manafort, Gates, Flynn, Stone, Zinke, Price, Sessions, etc. etc. Almost everyone who works with Trump is a disgusting sleeze bag - it's a requirement in the job description - gotta match the boss...

It's not about Cohen - it's about the tapes, hard drives, documents, videos - all the stuff that was hauled out of Cohen's house...

You know, the raid where Trump said; “So I just heard that they broke into the office of one of my personal attorneys — a good man. And it’s a disgraceful situation."

Get ready for more disgrace Mr President....

7 ( +8 / -1 )

There's evidence on camera of Trump being racist to Mexicans, migrants, Native Americans, Muslims. We've all seen it.

This isn't going to go away, you know.

How is he racist? I don’t know if you’ve ever been to the States, but if you go to California and see how Mexicans are treated and how they live in many high crime cities throughout the State will see how disastrous Democrat policies have been towards Blacks and Latinos. Sacramento is where the real racists run the State.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

" Cohen " The clue is in the name.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

What is know is that Cohen is a proven liar and that he is going to prison. Will the Mueller report validate any of the claims made by Cohen today? Or should Democrats just assume that the proven liar Cohen was totally honest today?

What are you guys talking about? There is evidence of campaign finance violations. That's proven today. What's left, whether or not there was collusion with Russia, is left up to the Mueller report. There is no more need to validate the fact that Trump violated campaign finance laws. But you don't care about him committing crimes, do you?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

And how much credibility does Cohen have at this point?

The felonies he implicated him in are backed with hard evidence. Cohen's credibility has nothing to do with that. Keep grasping at the air, you'll not get a hold of anything.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

How is he racist?

Because of the racist things he says and the racist things he does.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Deadforgood - What are you guys talking about? There is evidence of campaign finance violations. That's proven today.

Proven by whom? Cohen the proven liar? Elected Democrats are really, really, hoping for something, anything, that will allow them to proceed with a motion to impeach Trump. The only things the Democrats are missing are actual facts, and credibility.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

What are you guys talking about? There is evidence of campaign finance violations. That's proven today.

Yes, personal finances, yeah, try running with that, so what else?

What's left, whether or not there was collusion with Russia, is left up to the Mueller report.

I agree.

There is no more need to validate the fact that Trump violated campaign finance laws. But you don't care about him committing crimes, do you

No one cared about Democrat collusion or even when they lied under oath? So we don’t make rules for one group and the other group we turn our heads or because one party thinks they have the right demand accountability for the other. No collusion, so now what?

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

The felonies he implicated him in are backed with hard evidence. Cohen's credibility has nothing to do with that.

Ohhhhh.....yes, it does. It has everything to do with this credibility, you think that the Democrats care about Cohen? Of course they don’t. There was nothing new that we learn today that we don’t already know that is really a shocker, the spectacle was designed purely for the entertainment and shock and awe for the Democrats and Trump haters and nothing more.

Keep grasping at the air, you'll not get a hold of anything.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Trump's former lawyer Cohen calls him 'racist, conman, cheat'

Did he miss any buttons?

Cohen is a very, very bitter man and eminently untrustworthy.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Proven by whom? Cohen the proven liar? Elected Democrats are really, really, hoping for something, anything, that will allow them to proceed with a motion to impeach Trump. The only things the Democrats are missing are actual facts, and credibility.

Uh, the documents and exhibits presented in court. Even if the word of Cohen can't be trusted, signed checks and statements from Trump can be...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Bass:. There was nothing new that we learn today that we don’t already know that is really a shocker

Yeah, not much. We already knew Trump slept with a porn star and lied and paid her off, and that he knew Stone was talking with the Russians and Assange, and that he's racist

It's pretty much a broken record how trashy this President is.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Yes, personal finances, yeah, try running with that, so what else?

"The president committed campaign finance crimes in his personal capacity" isn't the silver bullet you seem to think it is.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump supporter tears coming soon. Enjoy it, guys. You don't have much time left with your master.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

A guy about to go to prison for, among other things, lying to the Senate is now the Senate's BFF who has once again perjured himself in this hearing? Man, the reek of desperation from the dems was pouring out the TV screens and onto the living room floors across America today.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

If he thinks Trump was such a racist, conman, and cheat, then why did he work for him for so long?

He's a man guilty of crimes who is now trying to save himself or at least reduce his own punishment. That's what I believe, anyway.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

The democrats are just angry because Trump won the election. First, a stupid recount. Then Russia-Russia. The Stormy D. thing came next. Now, pin their hopes of impeachment on Cohen because Mueller ain’t got nothing.

Meanwhile prez is trying to make peace with NK.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. The Stormy allegations arose before the elections. You have no idea what Mueller has, because none of us do. Trump supporters seemed a lot angrier about Cohen testifying than dems when trump won. The GOP is getting beat up by the dems, and you guys can't handle it (or the truth).

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Man, the reek of desperation from the dems was pouring out the TV screens and onto the living room floors across America today.

I think you mean the GOP. Republicans denying and trying to throw everything out the window while Cummings just told them to be quiet and listen.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Uh, the documents and exhibits presented in court. Even if the word of Cohen can't be trusted, signed checks and statements from Trump can be...

This is very true, but at the same time you are not talking about crimes to have anything to do with Russia, they may have to do with maybe some campaign finance crimes, but not big enough to get the president kicked out of office. It was a great show but once again another failure for the Democrats, they didn’t sway any minds.

Yeah, not much. We already knew Trump slept with a porn star and lied and paid her off,

Yes, that is not the best thing to do it you never be encouraged, so now how does that have anything to do with Russia?

and that he knew Stone was talking with the Russians and Assange,

How do you know he knew? How can you prove it? Stone said no and Cohen said, yes...both seem to have problems with lying, so what’s your point?

and that he's racist

So are most Democrats and their polices overtly racist. So once again, what’s your point?

It's pretty much a broken record how trashy this President is.

And the Democrats even more so. What a waste of time this all was. If I were poor, I’d be really mad to see my money go for this sideshow Democrat water down Cirque du Soleil show.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Trump supporter tears coming soon. Enjoy it, guys. You don't have much time left with your master.

If I could get $100 for each time I keep hearing that, I could buy a boat now

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Jenni: He's a man guilty of crimes who is now trying to save himself or at least reduce his own punishment. That's what I believe, anyway.

He’s already been stentenced. His best move would be to appease Trump and hope for a pardon.

If he thinks Trump was such a racist, conman, and cheat, then why did he work for him for so long?

He's a man guilty of crimes who is now trying to save himself or at least reduce his own punishment. That's what I believe, anyway.

I think if you actually watched the hearing, you would have an answer to your question...and there is no reduced sentence, nor was anything like that even on the table. This hearing was only an opportunity to present criminal evidence to the country and final words from Cohen. He was subpoenaed to the court, criminals subpoenaed aren't ever there to save themselves as its involuntary.

You keep trying to twist it. I never said the campaign finance violations were tied to collusion with Russia. They are separate crimes. And it would seem that Cummings is interested in investigating deeper into Trumps campaign finance violations now.

Again, no clue about Russian collusion. Except it seems likely, but remains to be proven.

P.S. If i had a penny for every time I heard you guys say witch hunt, I would have 2 boats.

This isn't the first time he has defended Trump's crimes while admitting they are crimes. Won't be the last either, I'm certain.

Yea, I reckon Jr. and that weisselberg feller get subpoenaed next by the SDNY. Weisselberg has immunity too, Jr. however...does not. He's too much of a pu55y though to lie to the SDNY. Especially when Weisselberg has no reason to and its his word that will win against JR.'s.

Exactly. He’s going to jail. He’ll say anything.

Trump supporters avoid the obvious question of why Trump hired a thuggish, compulsive liar and kept him on and close for all those years.

The number of dodgy characters and liars surrounding Trump is mind blowing. This should raise suspicion even in the slowest of minds.

You can rest assured that Mueller and the SDNY have evidence to corroborate Cohen's testimony. His testimony also implicated three new members of the Trump Organization, tied Stone, Trump, and Don Jr to advance knowledge of the wikileaks "leak", showed Trump is guilty of campaign finance violations for making payoffs to silence women he'd had sex with, and that he implicitly told Cohen to lie to congress about pending business deals in Russia during the campaign. There are currently at least 18 investigations of indictments pending. Unless he gets a pardon from Pence, or asylum in Russia or Saudi Arabia, he's going to be jailed.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Why would anyone doubt this established liar mob lawyer?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

There are lots of reasons to doubt Cohen. However, when he has physical evidence to support what he says, he can be believed. Trump is a notorious liar, but if he said "drinking water is good for you, I have studies here that prove it", I'd believe him.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Because he lies less frequently than his boss does, and usually does so on his orders? Because lying now gets him nothing but more pain, even though telling the truth doesn't change his plea deal?

Cohen had nothing "BREAKING NEWS" worthy to offer his newest oldest BFF, the democrats, to help him from being packed off to prison in about two months.

What the anti-Trumpkins don't realize is that their high hopes of Cohen's testimony rapidly turned into a dumpster for their beloved superiors within democrat party.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Cohen had nothing "BREAKING NEWS" worthy to offer his newest oldest BFF, the democrats, to help him from being packed off to prison in about two months.

As I said earlier,

... most importantly, Trump has always denied knowing about the hack of Democratic emails, but now we're getting closer to the truth:

Cohen is the first Trump associate to publicly allege that the president had inside information about WikiLeaks releasing Democratic emails, which US intelligence agencies say were hacked by Russian operatives working to help Trump’s campaign. Trump received the information on WikiLeaks in the days before the Democratic party convention July 2016 in a telephone call from Roger Stone, his longtime friend and adviser, according to Cohen, who said the call was placed on speakerphone.

What the anti-Trumpkins don't realize is that their high hopes of Cohen's testimony rapidly turned into a dumpster for their beloved superiors within democrat party.

You can spin it all you like, but your dear leader is bad news. And with more and more of his associates going down or turning, he's not going to come out of the whole mess unscathed.

That's how you take down a crime boss, get the business associates and other members of the family to go on the record.

I think if you actually watched the hearing, you would have an answer to your question...and there is no reduced sentence, nor was anything like that even on the table.

I have the answer. Lanny Davis. That closing statement sounded really like textbook Lanny. I had to bust out laughing. Oh, the Clinton tentacles always multiple.

This hearing was only an opportunity to present (alleged) criminal evidence to the country and final words from Cohen.

Actually from Lanny, but it doesn’t matter, Cohen will be gone and not soon enough.

He was subpoenaed to the court, criminals subpoenaed aren't ever there to save themselves as its involuntary.

BS! Yes, he is. Cohen knew he was in very deep deep mess and with all the lawyers in NYC that want his scalp, the logical thing for him to do is to hire a lawyer that is deeply connected in the second most liberal State, a State that overwhelmingly voted for Hillary Clinton and the logical person to hire for that would be the person most closest to her Lanny Davis. Hiring Lanny would be very crucial since he has the know-how and influence that he could work out a deal where that maybe if he can testify, then he could probably get his sentence reduced or maybe do year time served on good behavior. That’s the real reason why Cohen is doing this.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Anti-Trumpers: Yep, all that's true...

Trumpers: Wait, wait....we hate him so you have to love him - that's how the Universe works....

Anti-Trumpers: No, we think he's a sleezeball too - just like everyone that is associated with Trump....

Trumpers: Wait, wait...you can't hate him, the world.....doesn't....work.......way.....

Anti-Trumpers: And did you hear Ann Coulter called Trump an idiot, lazy, incompetent and a wimp?

Trumpers: But .....she's.....a.......conservative..... icon.....it ......doesn't.....work.......that.....

Then the aneurysm hits....

Nothing Cohen could say would convince them to reduce his sentence. Lanny Davis' role is simply to help the Democratic party in prosecuting Trump of crimes he committed. Not cutting a deal with Cohen. Whoever told you that, is a dunce. You always accuse people here of speaking for Trump, "knowing whats in his head". Now you are the one doing it, claiming you know his reasons for testifying. FYI, Cohen was refusing to testify. He was subpoenaed, or do you now understand what that means?

ROFL!

You always accuse people here of speaking for Trump, "knowing whats in his head". Now you are the one doing it, claiming you know his reasons for testifying.

I’m not claiming to know what is in the man’s head, forgot sakes, I don’t want to get into his head, but I can say this the man has a family and the man is going to do whatever he has to do which came from his own mouth and to take care of them and that includes trying to get a sentence reduced, that’s common sense. Come on now....

FYI, Cohen was refusing to testify. He was subpoenaed, or do you now understand what that means?

Of course he refused and yet very good reason to do so, but when you have somebody like Davis representing you a lot of things can change, a lot. You can believe that crap, I don’t want and with over 3000 lawyers in the New York City area you have some of the best and top and most respected lawyers that the city has to offer and, he gets Lanny Davis. The parallels between Breaking Bad and Trump World always amazes me...

Walter White and Jesse Pinkman operate a criminal enterprise. At some point they needed a "criminal" lawyer to continue to assist and expand their empire. And they hire Saul Goodman...

Donnie hired his Saul Goodman 12 years ago - to help "fix" and expand his criminal empire...

Which highlights that the Mueller report will likely impeach Trump, but his serious jail time, and that for his family members, will come from the NY Southern District Attorney's Office investigation into the Trump Foundation.

The COO, Wiesselberg, has been in Trump World since the '70s - he was Fred Trump (Don's dad) personal accountant. He's knows where all the bodies are buried and he's been given an immunity deal...

Donnie, Don Jr, Eric, Jared, and likely Ivanka are all headed to Mar-A-Lockup.

LOL. It's the Democrats who have been repeatedly claiming that they have FINALLY found the evidence that will allow them to impeach Trump. This has been going on for years, and the Democrats still haven't managed to produce actual results.

The Mueller tribunal will be released soon, and elected Democrats are already claiming that it won't be released to the public. This is before Congress, or the Justus Dept,, even has a chance to read it, let alone release it. Since it doesn't look like the Mueller report will be producing the expected results that the Democrat Party needs, the Democrats chose to give the convicted liar Cohen another chance to lie to Congress.

it's the Democrats who have been repeatedly claiming that they have FINALLY found the evidence that will allow them to impeach Trump.

No, they haven't done that. Is that what they are telling you in the right-wing deep-state qanon fake news MSM bubble? You need to be more discerning, they lied to you.

And it seems like you are whining about people claiming things, while not addressing the fact that you claimed the investigation should have been concluded while the investigation is ongoing. Hypocrisy at its best.

Trump's former lawyer Cohen calls him 'racist, conman, cheat'

Tell us something we didn't already know.

One telling thing is that the Democrats questioned Cohen about Trump but not one Republican was interested in doing the same thing. One even made a prop out of a black woman, and faked outrage that he could be thought of as a racist......rewind a few years, and this guy was giving a speech about sending Obama back to 'Kenya or wherever'.

Actually Trump has been the best thing ever to have to the Republican party. He is destroying it and dragging every backstabbing Republican politician into the swamp with him.

Strangerland - And it seems like you are whining about people claiming things, while not addressing the fact that you claimed the investigation should have been concluded while the investigation is ongoing. Hypocrisy at its best.

And you would be mistaken. I never claimed that the investigation should be concluded while the investigation is ongoing. I'm in favor of investigations. All politicians should be made aware that they will be subject to a complete, and impartial, investigation. And, of course, that includes Hillary.

Saying someone is a crook is easy. Proving they are crooks is harder.

Over the last 50 yrs, there are examples of politicians in the State Dept and White House who were believed to have violated federal criminal laws, yet they didn't get any jail time.

The politicians who were caught were stupid. It is the smart ones you avoid getting caught. Hillary was investigated already. The FBI coudn't find sufficient proof that she did or requested people who worked for her to perform illegal acts. Get over it. You can read the FBI reports for yourself, if you like. The FBI is about facts in those reports, not about what they believe to be true.

The same will apply to Trump. Some beliefs that he is a crook and has 500 incidents of acting like a crook, being around other crooks, and somehow still not being caught isn't helpful to get many people, including me, to think he is clean, but it isn't proof either.

Trump never lies....

Neither do insurance or pre-owned vehicle salesmen. It is called "selling."

He's the perfect example of a faithfull husband....

It that illegal?

All his people are "the best"....

who are willing to personally submit to him.

He's a genius....

in his own mind. It is common for people to be smart in 1 way and idiotic in others. Trump is no different.

He's a war hero....

I thought he had flat feet.

Ann Coulter loves him....

does anyone care what she thinks? To which office was she elected?

He never hires illegal immigrants....

I bet he didn't directly hire any, but I'd also bet that he directed the people doing the hiring in such a way that only illegal immigrants would accept the jobs.

Doing something and being caught doing it, with proof, are 2 very different things.

"I have lied but I am not a liar" (Cohen)

I only saw snippets of this cheap theater, but it really is an embarrassment for any congress to spend time on party political nonsense like this.

But hey, that is current politics.

Just another example of why Trump is going to cruise to victory in 2020.

Americans are fed up with the lying media and dishonest tactics of the left.

First it was the baseless, disgusting attacks on Kavanaugh that failed to accomplish their goal.

Now, they put a liar on the stand. Whiff number two!

What's next?

At last someone is telling the truth. I hope , it is not too late for America.

Three major facts that the media either downplay or totally ignore:

Cohen said he had no evidence of "Trump-Russia collusion."

Cohen said he has never been to Prague or even the Czech Republic (where he supposedly had some secret meeting with Putin on Trump's behalf)

Cohen said that Trump did not tell him to lie to Congress. (He lied to Congress all on his own.)

He has no reason to lie about no. 1 or no. 3, because what he said doesn't hurt Trump; in fact, it helps him.

As for no. 2, immigration and travel records would be easy to check, so Cohen wouldn't lie about that even if he wanted to.

So, no Russia-Trump collusion, no secret meeting with Putin in Prague, and no orders issued by Trump to Cohen to lie to Congress.

In fact, the only bad things Cohen said about Trump were things that he had absolutely no proof or evidence for. Given that he is a convicted fraudster and perjurer, these things cannot be rationally believed.

Trump's political opponents must be so disappointed.
