"We're rounding the corner," said Trump, who has played down the virus for months. "It's going away."

Can you believe this moron is still saying this blatant lie? Why don't you just tell us the earth is flat Donald...

What's going away - and has for the past several years, is your already limited mental capacity - and now that you're full of drugs, it's even more diminished...

11 ( +29 / -18 )

Joe Biden is mopping up the floor with Trump!

3 ( +23 / -20 )

On Thursday, the commission that oversees the debate removed plexiglass barriers separating the candidates after Trump provided proof he had tested negative for COVID-19, a source familiar with the matter said.

Was he even positive in the first place, can't believe a word this con artist and those around him

spurt.

8 ( +22 / -14 )

I'm not sure what is more entertaining....

Watching Trump fluster and try to interrupt Biden after each question...

Or watching him make exaggerated funny faces and roll his eyes like a California valley girl when his mic is cut..

Well, he did play YMCA and Macho Man at his rallies by the all gay group Village People...I still think he was sending a message to Mike Pence and his evangelical supporters...

7 ( +20 / -13 )

That's a mighty big corner the USA is rounding maybe when the death toll hits 400K you'll get around it ? seriously the USA taking Covid seriously are a lost cause ....

9 ( +19 / -10 )

Go Trump! You're the least-worst candidate.

-17 ( +14 / -31 )

Unbelievable, Trump claiming he did more for blacks outside of Abraham Lincoln. And did not address at all systemic racism in America that Biden eloquently addressed.

7 ( +22 / -15 )

reckless:

I honestly think Trump was unwell at the last debate.

I honestly think he's been unwell ever since his brother dropped a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head.

7 ( +20 / -13 )

Trump said he doesn't care about families around the kitchen table trying to make ends meet. Interesting take.

4 ( +18 / -14 )

"It's going away."

Perhaps the only true statement Trump made tonight - unfortunately, it wasn't about the virus...it was about;

His mental state....

His reelection chances...

His freedom once he's tossed out and is held to account for the illegal Stormy payoff and his tax fraud...

4 ( +17 / -13 )

Did I just hear Trump respond to Biden speaking about immigrant children in detention centers not seeing their mothers, with "Good?"

Wow.

2 ( +14 / -12 )

Once again, he says he's the least racist person in this room.

Yeah, he's the healthiest, the youngest, the smartest, the greatest.

A sad, delusional little 'man'.

9 ( +23 / -14 )

Once again, he says he's the least racist person in this room.

Please post the list here of everything Trump has done racist. I bet they won't include being best buddies with KKK, pro-segregation and incarcerating hundreds of thousands of black men for a gram of weed that you want legalized in Japan.

-10 ( +12 / -22 )

Biden threw Obama under the bus on record number of deportations when he was in office - hilarious.

1 ( +15 / -14 )

OMG, I just heard Joe claim he never said he was going to get rid of fracking.

Really? Checking... yeah, he did! OH MY!

-9 ( +14 / -23 )

The only thing Trump has said so far that I agree with is that he knows more about "wind" than Biden. I believe he also knows more about "natural gas" s well.

6 ( +19 / -13 )

Did I just hear Trump respond to Biden speaking about immigrant children in detention centers not seeing their mothers, with "Good?"

Yeah. Trump has a vomit stain where his soul should be.

7 ( +22 / -15 )

The only thing Trump has said so far that I agree with is that he knows more about "wind" than Biden. I believe he also knows more about "natural gas" s well.

Trump's talking about wind power that windmills generate, not the wind that Biden generates.

-12 ( +11 / -23 )

"Wind kills birds" - the words of a very smart man, much genius, so brain.

7 ( +19 / -12 )

Well at least Trump didn’t talk non-stop the entire night.

Biden had to slander America yet again as “systemically racist”. Disgusting America hating as usual from a neo-Marxist Dem.

-4 ( +19 / -23 )

All partisanship aside, this was a much better debate and I think the moderator was very good.

21 ( +24 / -3 )

Repeal Trump

-1 ( +15 / -16 )

Well we saw a lot of Biden policy and plans for the next four years. And a lot of trump whining and complaining and claiming he was the least racist person in the room.

Biden wiped the floor again.

2 ( +19 / -17 )

Well, as a Trump supporter, I think our Great President hit a home run tonight....

He told the truth about the that hoax virus - that's is magically disappearing....

https://www.voanews.com/covid-19-pandemic/virus-surges-some-us-states-swamping-emergency-rooms

That China is bad - no one should do business with them...

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-event-touted-made-america-goods-lot-his-merchandise-couldn-n893656

That Russia is our friend....

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/russia-bounty-reports-u-s-troop-movements-put-trump-putin-relationship-in-spotlight

What a guy...we're with you Mr President - even if you take us over the cliff...

3 ( +19 / -16 )

Biden fell apart by the end. lied about fracking again and said he will shut down oil.

He just lost several states just by that alone.

-9 ( +17 / -26 )

Watching CNNs post debate coverage - it’s like watching a DNC caucus meeting.

1 ( +16 / -15 )

Biden got cut to pieces, tell em Joe why didnt you do it while you were a politician Joe, tell me Joe why didnt you do it when you were Vice President Joe, hahaha Biden is a useless waste of political space, just another grub in govt lining his own pockets.

Who built the cages Joe ?? hahaha

Go Trump , American Loves you Donald !! Keep slamming em Democrats !!

-8 ( +15 / -23 )

Biden was embarrassing bad. Also America was never friendly with Hitler. Study Joe.

-10 ( +15 / -25 )

It would be more the state governors fault for the deaths.

1 ( +11 / -10 )

Biden got crushed, this new format really benefited Trump, plus about halfway through the debate both Joe and the moderator started to run out of gas.

Trump is Trump, he stepped in it a few times, but otherwise he still won.

-10 ( +14 / -24 )

Several U.S. states, including the election swing state of Ohio, reported record single-day increases in COVID-19 infections on Thursday, evidence the pandemic is accelerating anew.

Any correlation between rising covid rates and super-spreader rallies held in recent weeks?

6 ( +14 / -8 )

"Wind kills birds" - the words of a very smart man, much genius, so brain.

Windmills disproportionately kill birds, including Bald Eagles, our national mascot.

-7 ( +9 / -16 )

Windmills disproportionately kill birds, including Bald Eagles, our national mascot.

This isn't true. 20,000 birds are estimated to die from windmills per year. Millions of birds are killed by tall buildings per year. Should we destroy all tall buildings?

8 ( +17 / -9 )

Not a KO, but a clear unanimous points victory for Trump. Biden was hammered on his failure to do anything for 8 years as VP under Obama, and everyone was reminded that the kids in cages thing was started under that administration, and ended by Trump's.

-13 ( +8 / -21 )

CNN.com: “the climate crisis takes center stage”.

confirmation that Biden lost bigly.

-12 ( +10 / -22 )

Biden had to rest and practice for 5 days just to give us 45 minutes of work, then horribly fade the next 45.

How can he work one full workday much less a week or a month?

-13 ( +9 / -22 )

How can he work one full workday much less a week or a month?

Id rather have him suffer another 4 years with the current idiot in office.

0 ( +9 / -9 )

The tone of debate was a bit more civilized mainly because the rules made sure that the freak show of the first debate would not be repeated.

The level of disinformation and disinformation was just as troubling as with the first encounter.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

That says it all.....cult

I think Busby is being somewhat facetious.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Ego ‐ agree the moderator did an admirable job. I think some questioning lines were suspect, but really fair questions and response times.

Thought Trump was a 40٪ in the first debate and probably an 85% in this one. Biden didn't reflect his 5 days of preparation well. Not that it matters anyway, votes (and future votes are cast I think).

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

How can he work one full workday much less a week or a month?

Does your definition of a full workday include playing golf and tweeting trash?

Any jobs going at your company?

8 ( +15 / -7 )

Cats kill more birds than wind turbines.

Given the amount of golf he plays, I’d say Trump’s tee shots probably kill more.

7 ( +14 / -7 )

Biden just showed that he’s just beyond unfit to lead the country let alone build an economy.

-10 ( +10 / -20 )

Total disaster for Biden. He spoke just clearly enough this time to tell us his policies, which are terrible.

Now he wants to allow 11 million illegals to become citizens- so that they can vote Democrat forever. Add that to the court packing and adding new Dem states, people arent going to go for that.

Not much more to say.

-11 ( +9 / -20 )

Biden just showed that he’s just beyond unfit to lead the country let alone build an economy.

Rebuild is a better choice of word. The economy is a mess.

Like with the previous democratic president, he’ll have to sort out a car crash if he’s elected.

Republican presidents and the economy. Drunks at the wheel.

6 ( +14 / -8 )

The needle didn't move for the few undecided.

The moderator was the only person with clarity on the stage.

I'm glad the debates are over.

Biden will win in a landslide in 12 days.

4 ( +12 / -8 )

The difference between Biden and Trump:

Biden: Fact checker says, "Oh, there's a lie. ( several minutes pass by ) Oh, that's a lie.

Trump: Fact checkers start to sweat not knowing which lie to attend to.

In the end, Biden's falsehood about fracking was the one lie they could lay on. With Trump, there were too many to count, whether it be the economy, COVID, the environment ... The fact checkers were busy with Trump. There were probably a ton of fact checkers for Trump, while only one attended to Biden.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

"We're rounding the corner," said Trump, who has played down the virus for months. "It's going away."

Trump lost the debate in the first minute when he uttered this whopper....

Ask these folks Mr President...

Ten states Friday reported their highest one-day case counts: Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming, according to Johns Hopkins.

The number of coronavirus deaths reported in the United States on Wednesday reached its highest in two months, offering more evidence that the pandemic was gaining fresh momentum across the country as cooler weather sets in.

The similarities between the latest stage of the coronavirus pandemic in the US and its surge over the summer are mounting up, with the country now averaging more than 60,000 cases a day for the first time since early August, and the highest level of hospitalisations in two months.

Disappearing? Yep, his eyesight...

5 ( +13 / -8 )

I believe President Donald Trump won the Debate. Has nothing to do with Red or Blue.

-7 ( +9 / -16 )

vote Biden !

2 ( +12 / -10 )

SSR Scientific poll gives it to Biden 53-39.

Joe win. It’s over. Trump’s done.

His own advisors say off the record, “It’s too late.”

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Conclusion: Trump did more damage to the country in 4 years than Biden in 47 years!..

8 ( +18 / -10 )

I didn't watch the debate as I don't like hearing canned answers from politicians, but the results show a clear victory for Biden. I think Trump fans are confusing, "Trump didn't implode" with, "Trump won."

-2 ( +8 / -10 )

Trump has no plan to fight COVID. He has no healthcare plan. He has no vision for a second term.

This election is a referendum on his incompetence. He’s losing. That’s why he brings up bs arguments.

He didn’t do anything to change the trajectory. That means he loses.

5 ( +13 / -8 )

SSR Scientific poll gives it to Biden 53-39.

Joe win. It’s over. Trump’s done.

His own advisors say off the record, “It’s too late.”

Biased polls!!!! They sampled 100000% Democrats!!!!! No-one polled me!!!!! He said "laptop from hell" that's the magic word for instant victory!!!!!! THAT MEANS HE WON AND 100% OF PEOPLE AGREE WITH ME!!!!!

6 ( +12 / -6 )

Late night TV and SNL will be feasting over these Trump groaners for weeks....

"Next to Lincoln, I've been the best President for Black America"....

I wonder how many people did a spit take after hearing that. Not FDR, not Johnson, not Clinton, and not Obama....sure Donald....

"My accountant won't let me release my taxes".....

Hmmmmm....so your accountant tells you what to do....and they are no longer under "audit" for four years...OK...

All the while making faces and rolling your eyes like a high-school girl....

"It's disappearing"....just change the "it's" to "I'm".....

2 ( +8 / -6 )

Once again Trump failed. Failed to give policies or direction for the next 4 years. Failed on all levels except an ability to launch personal attacks that are made up of fake "Trump facts". Thank goodness he will be voted out in about eleven days.

Go Biden!

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Biden won women 60-35 and men 47-77. Climate change, racial equality, COVID and foreign relations as well.

Joe won.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Never thought I’d see the day with Dems here supporting a warmonger. I guess their so called high ideals and progressive feelings take a back seat to their pride. Who does that sound like? So we’re all Trump deep inside I guess. LOL

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Men 47-44 Biden Apologies.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Are you? I just come to clear up all the misinformation posted here. No misinformation- I don’t need to comment.

Are you under the impression that your posting on Japan Today Dot Com will make the difference between Trump winning or losing?

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

47+44=91 where is everyone else of the 100?

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

SR Scientific poll gives it to Biden 53-39.

Joe win. It’s over. Trump’s done.

Not even close

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/byron-yorks-daily-memo-where-things-stand

His own advisors say off the record, “It’s too late.”

Uh-huh...lol

-10 ( +7 / -17 )

Are you?

No.

I just come to clear up all the misinformation posted here. No misinformation- I don’t need to comment.

And yet you regularly spread misinformation. For example:

47+44=91 where is everyone else of the 100?

Trying to sow doubt on a poll result because you don't understand that "undecided" or "don't know" answers exist.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Looks like Trump knocked it out f the ball park. A stunned and confused Biden as usual with nothing to add except for confusion.

-8 ( +10 / -18 )

I will stay away from an opinion on the winner and loser.

To my surprise this was actually a decent debate. I have to tip my hat to Kristen Welker from NBC as I believe she did a very good job.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Conclusion: Trump did more damage to the country in 4 years than Biden in 47 years!..

The economy overall before the virus hit, the 401(k), the capital gains tax, the corporate tax rate, the lowest unemployment, and the black community....no complaints, now black men when it comes to the incarceration rate would beg to differ with Biden on your point.

-10 ( +7 / -17 )

Looks like Trump knocked it out f the ball park. A stunned and confused Biden as usual with nothing to add except for confusion.

You see your boy in that 60 Minutes interview?

Stahl: Are you ready for some tough questions?

Trump: No. :(

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Biden came off more "presidential" with his well-rehearsed performance although it is a sad travesty of the democratic system that the superannuated DNCman represents the only viable choice left to the American voter since Trump with his pathetic four-year record of ineptitude and sloth and criminal abuse of his office was, as we have all come to expect, unable to offer any detailed policy points to reassure the country gripped by fear of the dark future that Don and Mitch have now bequeathed to the American people. Trump must have forgotten to take his steroids before the debate because he sounded so tired and subdued when fielding serious questions with a flat delivery devoid of any substantive details that might induce any intelligent person to vote for him, only showing signs of animation when deflecting, projecting, lying and slandering Biden with his regurgitated gutterspeak. Debates don't win elections, but the bad loser has now shown us his empty suit.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

You can’t vote for “undecided” or “don’t know” so at some point the numbers will add to 100.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

The Washington Examiner is a joke of a paper with participant rather than scientific polling.

Oh, here we go, so we need to only believe a liberal one-sided poll or political analyst?

And it doesn’t have to add up to 100 as there remain a small number of undecideds. This is basic math.

Which Dems are very bad at.

Deflections aside, in the only scientific poll, Joe won by 14 and across all demos.

No, he didn’t, the race is too close, they’re doing the same thing again as they did with Hillary who as literally the same in the polls back in 2016. They continue to oversample Democrats over Republicans and liberals over conservatives overwhelmingly.

and in the focus group of 11 undecideds in NC, 7 are now ready to vote Biden, 0 for Trump, 4 still undecided.

Hmmmm

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2020-10-16/undecideds-like-trump-s-policies-says-pollster-luntz-video

Nice try liberals...again...

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

You can’t vote for “undecided” or “don’t know” so at some point the numbers will add to 100.

This is a poll on who won tonight's debate. They can vote for "undecided" or "don't know" on this issue, and it will stand.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

You see your boy in that 60 Minutes interview?

Yup.

Stahl: Are you ready for some tough questions?

Trump: No. :(

And?

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

A WGN snap poll has Trump winning this debate 74% to Joe's 24%.

I'm with the 74%. Trump killed it. Biden-Harris is finished.

Of course CNN has it 53% to 39% for Biden, haha

Biden came off more "presidential"

No he didn't, Trump did.

Trump must have forgotten to take his steroids before the debate because he sounded so tired and subdued

No he didn't, he was calm and and presidential.

Trump-Pence 2020 LANDSLIDE! :D

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

so you got all that from the post of "Men 47-44 Biden Apologies".?

This is a poll on who won tonight's debate.

The debate polls are 70+/20 something in favor of Trump.

So Biden was being "sarcastic" about Adolf Hitler, huh? Nobody buying that.

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

Haha, I didn't notice before - did anyone else see how Melania yanked her hand away from Trump as they left? Even she can't stand him.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Haha, I didn't notice before - did anyone else see how Melania yanked her hand away from Trump as they left? Even she can't stand him.

You know them and their relationship?

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

so you got all that from the post of "Men 47-44 Biden Apologies".?

Graham actually made other posts. I know that you guys hate reading, but trust me, it will help you to navigate the world more easily.

The debate polls are 70+/20 something in favor of Trump.

Source?

And?

It doesn't bother you that your President is afraid of answering tough questions, like a weak little baby?

8 ( +11 / -3 )

But Thursday's clash still featured plenty of personal attacks between two men who evince little respect for each other, and Trump kept fact-checkers busy by leveling unfounded corruption accusations at Biden and his family.

LOL, "unfounded"? The payments from the oligarchs and CCP to the hunter-gatherer son are real.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Looks like Trump knocked it out f the ball park.

Ugh? Don't confuse croquet with baseball.

Reality check: low-energy Trump knocked himself out without any help from his feeble opponent.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

A WGN snap poll has Trump winning this debate 74% to Joe's 24%.

Source?

Well, Joe and Jill seem more cordial as well, don’t see any heavy romance sparks there either.

Jill can actually look her husband in the eye, though. She doesn't storm off away from him at the earliest opportunity.

If you think Melania and Trump are clearly in a good relationship, I feel bad for your wife.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Biden just showed that he’s just beyond unfit to lead the country let alone build an economy.

Im Donald Trump vote for me so I can try and fix the monumental flacken mess ive created.

7trillion add to the deficit in 4 yrs, 30 million lost jobs, and the worst economic crisis in 70rs

8 ( +10 / -2 )

It wwas up to trump as the incumbent to justify the past four years, and show his plan for the next four. I honestly can’t think of a single point he made to either of these.

Biden on the other hand explained past performance, laid out policy, and did it all in a compassionate manner that showed he plans to lead all Americans. Not leave half the states to fend for themselves because they’re “nasty”.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

If the economy was actually strong before the pandemic, it would have survived the pandemic. That’s the measure of strength - not falling apart in tough times.

Why didn’t trump fix the economy before it collapsed simply from a pandemic? He had three years and did nothing to fix his weak economy and before he could even finish his first term, the economy collapsed. Talk about being weak on the economy.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Biden just showed that he’s just beyond unfit to lead the country let alone build an economy.

Ok and Biden is going to rebuild the economy, how? More regulations? Increasing taxes limiting Job growth in the private sector, canceling incentives for small businesses, increasing the corporate rate tax, so he’s OK to see once again businesses leave the country, not only will Biden not create jobs, but he will completely destroy it.

Im Donald Trump vote for me so I can try and fix the monumental flacken mess ive created.

Pretty much every economist think so

7trillion add to the deficit in 4 yrs, 30 million lost jobs, and the worst economic crisis in 70rs

Biden in the White House and you’re going to triple the deficit within a year with everything that they want to implement

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

I answers for the pandemic.

Took the great economy inherited and drove it into the ground just like his businesses.

No second term agenda beyond “MAGA”.

This is the death rattle of a decrepit and destitute campaign.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

So, in summary:

Trump said that it was good that over 500 children will never find their parents again after he snatched them from their parents' arms.

Trump said that he didn't want to talk about suffering families wondering how they will pay their bills.

Trump said that the virus was going away on the same day record spikes were recorded.

Trump lied again about delivering a healthcare plan.

On the other hand, Biden looked at his watch.

Tough choice in this election.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHjbDSOmeiM

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Trump supporters claim Trump won. Biden supporters the same for Biden. It’ll be subjective. Doesn’t really matter either way though. Did Trump do enough to peal away from Biden-decided or convince enough fence-sitters? Doesn’t look like it. Did Biden do so badly as to lose any? Doesn’t look like it.

So, whether Trump “won” the debate or not, he didn’t win.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

When asked, why Black and brown parents have to prepare their children for encounters with police:

Biden: “I never had to tell my daughter, if she's pulled over, put both hands on top of the wheel and don't reach for the glove box because someone may shoot you. But a Black parent, no matter how wealthy or how poor they are, has to teach their child: don't have a hoodie on when you go across the street. Making sure that if you get pulled over, just ‘yes, sir, no sir,’ hands on top of the wheel.”

Trump: "I'm the least racist person in this room"

“And if you look, with the exception of Abraham Lincoln, nobody has done what I've done."

That says it all we need to know about Trump and his compassion.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

During this debate, Trump may have bolstered his own MAGA followers, but have disenchanted the undecided. He had a chance to talk about what kind of policies he may have to turn the economy around (which is the only talking point he has left), but he failed. All he talked about was how "we are turning the corner" and "how he can make America great again, again". That kind of rhetoric is not going to fly with the millions who have lost loved ones to Covid-19, or who are struggling to make ends meet.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Trump said he prepaid his taxes.

So, if he did, it'd give him total reason to have transparency and release those done taxes, especially since he says he paid millions.

We know he paid 750 dollars, after his pre paid taxes. His accountants must have missed the .00075% (he said 'millions', but I'll just base this on 'only' one million), for a grand total of 750 dollars he paid post pre tax.

Those damn accountants missing that .00075%, what is he paying them for??? Trump is quite the honest guy to come back and pay that 750 bucks. What a dude.

The China tax paid was more than his USA tax, as we now know. That's incredible information, every time it's written or said. Of course, Trump probably is wary of not paying taxes in China. USA? He thinks he can get away with anything. Not so. Good luck, Donald, post presidency...you're gonna need it.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Took the great economy inherited and drove it into the ground

He didn’t inherit a great economy, if it were Trump wouldn’t have had the need to bring the unemployment down and the corporate tax rate down.

just like his businesses.

Unlike his massive properties.

No second term agenda beyond “MAGA”.

This is the death rattle of a decrepit and destitute campaign

Judging by the loads of caravans, boats, size of crowds, endorsements from every local law agency, I doubt it.

-5 ( +5 / -10 )

Took the great economy inherited and drove it into the ground

He didn’t inherit a great economy

True. He took one in reasonable shape and saw it go down the toilet. Bush 2, who you and your non-partisan historians regard as a success, inherited a very good economy and saw that go down the toilet.

Both of them went nuts with the credit card while things were good.

Republicans just cannot be trusted with the economy. They wreck it.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

It doesn't sound like Trump presented a convincing vision for his next term. He can only offer more of the same - lies, division and chaos.
