The Neocons, Israelis and Saudis all want war--if only they can install another puppet Shah as we raid their oil fields. Too bad MSNBC has spent so much air time trotting out Neocons for the past few years, rehabilitating all the worst players in the run up to Iraq. When depraved sociopath Bill Kristol has become a liberal darling simply b/c he loathes Trump, you know something is deeply skewed about our public discourrse.

Trump blames Iran for tanker attacks but calls for talks

To be accurate, this should say "John Bolton blames Iran" - Donnie isn't smart enough to figure that out - he was just moving his lips while Bolton talks - same as he does with Putin.

The Repubs and the Neocons go back to the same playbook they used in 2003. More young Americans will go to die in the desert for nothing.

Vote these war-loving Repubs out in 2020!

Donny's appeasing and capitulating to Iran. Next thing you know, he'll be writing loves letters to Khamenei.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Another insane rush to war. The peoples of both Iran and the US must depose their loathsome regimes now.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Most people get that what Trump starts off a speech saying depends on who talks to him last, and it seems that whoever talked to him last told him a little mentioned truth, him ordering direct attacks on Iran would make the Bush Junior order to invade and occupy Iraq look inspired.

Being told that pretty much every American soldier in the region would either be killed by the waves of incoming missiles, ditching their uniforms and trying to get out of the region safely, or surrendering, and that Iran might just hand the survivors over to the ICC, and deliver hundreds or thousands of dead American soldiers in body bags, in front of the media, got him to stick to the 'conciliatory' message long enough to get off stage, but it won't hold him to it for long, especially seeing as the Iranians aren't going to offer him a way of saving face they way they did Obama .

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Wonder why Iranian navy went and saved those merchant sailors....

Any reasonable person, whether you like or dislike Trump, can see he lacks knowledge of vital issues and he isn’t a thoughtful type. This makes the people advising the leader even more important than usual.

One look at the people advising him isn’t a cause for optimism.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Trump and cronies should tone it down a bit and start blabbering only when they have clear evidence. This group is good at accusing other nations of creating conflicts, but they do them one better.

Japan buys oil from Iran and has been pushing to get the embargo on their purchases lifted. Why would Iran attack a Japanese tanker?

It makes no sense.

This is embarrassing. Pompeo says "intelligence" says Iran is behind the attacks. Yet his boss has spent his entire so-called presidency telling the world how little he trusts US intelligence agencies. Now he expects the world to believe what he says about the attacks?

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Japan buys oil from Iran and has been pushing to get the embargo on their purchases lifted. Why would Iran attack a Japanese tanker?

While Abe is in visit... It really makes no sense. But people will go with it, they did with Iraq, they'll do it again. People don't look for truth they look for confirmation of their opinions.

The Neocons, Israelis and Saudis all want war--

The Israelis do not.

The last few weeks have seen an inundation of polls regarding the position of the Israeli public on a possible strike against Iran. The only conclusion one can reach after reading these polls is that Israelis as a whole are certainly not buying the message that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to sell them.

Any reasonable person, whether you like or dislike Trump, can see he lacks knowledge of vital issues and he isn’t a thoughtful type.

What a bunch of nonsense, Biden wouldn’t have the knowledge, Obama would just allow the Iranians to do as they want, if he knew what he was doing, he would have never made a crappy deal with the Iranians that would put the Saudis and Israel as well as the US on edge.

This makes the people advising the leader even more important than usual.

Exactly, and that’s why Trump is bumping heads with Bolton and Pompeo. He doesn’t want to go down that path of war.

One look at the people advising him isn’t a cause for optimism.

Hmmmm...the advisors that didn’t push to stop the annexation of Crimea weren’t exactly helpful.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Black Sabbath, I should have been more precise. The Israeli and Saudi governments. Though of course, if you keep electing lunatics in the Likud...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

JcJapan

Barely.

Just under 1/3 of Israelis voted for Likud. So Likud had the first chance to form a government, which they did by barley patching together with a bunch of minor, primarily right wing religious parties,

3.25% electoral threshold is the problem.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

This is what happens when Trump cancels agreements causing chaos on the world stage.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Trump blames Iran

How can anyone believe one word said by Trump. Especially when he flip-flops and lies so often.

Who's he getting information and advice from? Pompeo, Bolton and the other neo-cons in his administration? They do love sending other people's children to fight the wars they've started.

Given how many times Trump's dismissed things reported by any of the numerous US intelligence agencies, it's doubtful he listens to them.

Given he'd rather play golf and send Twitter messages than read anything beyond a few bullet points, it's likely he's not done any research himself.

Jared? What does he know other than how to use his inside position in daddy-in-law's White House to make more money.

Russia? Trump has listened to their advice before.

Israel? Maybe Sheldon Adelson's offering Trump even more to listen to them. Maybe Jared's been offered some sweet deals on property development there and Ivanka some trademarks.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Hmmmm...the advisors that didn’t push to stop the annexation of Crimea weren’t exactly helpful.

Just keeping us out of foreign countries' problems. You know, what Donny promised to do and for what you all frothed at the mouth.

What a bunch of nonsense, Biden wouldn’t have the knowledge, Obama would just allow the Iranians to do as they want, if he knew what he was doing, he would have never made a crappy deal with the Iranians that would put the Saudis and Israel as well as the US on edge.

Both Biden and Obama know they didn't know enough, so gathered information before making decisions. Donny isn't smart enough to know he doesn't know enough, so makes sophomoric errors constantly.

Exactly, and that’s why Trump is bumping heads with Bolton and Pompeo. He doesn’t want to go down that path of war.

According to anonymous sources, and we all know what that means.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Just under 1/3 of Israelis voted for Likud. So Likud had the first chance to form a government, which they did by barley patching together with a bunch of minor, primarily right wing religious parties,

So enough Israelis are voting for right wing religious parties that zealots can control the country.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

There is really only one reason Iran staged these attacks;

They were goaded to do so by the Russians - "show the Great Satan you can't be pushed around"...

Meanwhile, Putin has told Trump to increase military pressure on Iran, and Trump, being Putin's poodle, does what he's told...

This increases the chances of a war in which Iran's oil production will stop, and likely that of many other of the Gulf nations.

Putin, and Russia, get relief from their sanctions so they can ship more oil to meet worldwide demand...

America gets tied down in another Middle East war and the chaos that ensues...

Win-win for Putin and Russia...

This is what happens when we elect a Russian asset as President...

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Just keeping us out of foreign countries' problems. You know, what Donny promised to do and for what you all frothed at the mouth.

Yes, but sometimes when foreign adversaries try and take you on, it depends a response or at the very least a stark warning. With Crimea there was none of that.

Both Biden and Obama know they didn't know enough, so gathered information before making decisions.

Like Paul Krugman and Gates said, Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy. With Obama we already knew he didn’t know anything.

Donny isn't smart enough to know he doesn't know enough, so makes sophomoric errors constantly.

As all Presidents do, that’s why they have advisors.

.

According to anonymous sources, and we all know what that means.

As with most liberal sources, it means pretty much nothing.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

but calls for talks

I keep telling ya'll he's got Bolton on a tight leash.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

My pick is it was a Saudi secret service op and probably part of the Saudi political establishment behind it. They've no problem with murdering. They'd love to see oil prices go higher and pressure / war with Iran. Opportune time to suck the Orange thing onto their agenda.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

If the Japanese are correct and it was "some sort of flying object", it could have come from the Saudis trying to start a war with their enemy the Iranians using American military muscle.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Just keeping us out of foreign countries' problems. You know, what Donny promised to do and for what you all frothed at the mouth.

Yes, but sometimes when foreign adversaries try and take you on, it depends a response or at the very least a stark warning. With Crimea there was none of that.

Speaking of Crimea, other than lick Putin's boots, what's Donnie done about that in two years?

Both Biden and Obama know they didn't know enough, so gathered information before making decisions.

Like Paul Krugman and Gates said, Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy. With Obama we already knew he didn’t know anything.

Those are compliments compared to being called "a ____moron, idiot, and someone with the understanding of a fifth or sixth grader" by his closest staff members...

"Donny isn't smart enough to know he doesn't know enough, so makes sophomoric errors constantly.

As all Presidents do, that’s why they have advisors.

You know, advisers like Amorossa....

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Yes, but sometimes when foreign adversaries try and take you on, it depends a response or at the very least a stark warning. With Crimea there was none of that.

Hmm...didnt know Crimea was part of the US ...last time I looked at the map it seemed awfully closer to Russia than the States.

Btw...what response should have been pursued ?...going to war with Russia on its doorstep?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

He has no idea what he's doing.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Yes, but sometimes when foreign adversaries try and take you on, it depends a response or at the very least a stark warning. With Crimea there was none of that.

You are claiming their was no "stark warning" from Obama to Putin on Crimea. I'm going to demonstrate that this isn't correct. Pleas do not change the goalposts by claiming after that it "wasn't enough."

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-26394846

Like Paul Krugman and Gates said, Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy. With Obama we already knew he didn’t know anything.

Love how Trumpophiles can claim with a straight face that a Harvard educate, successful lawyer who became president on his first try doesn't know anything but they hold up Donny becoming president and inheriting his daddy's money as evidence of Donny's intelligence.

As all Presidents do, that’s why they have advisors.

You just agreed that Donny isn't smart enough to know that he doesn't know everything. You also know that Donny doesn't listen to his advisors, so your argument collapsed under its own "reasoning."

As with most liberal sources, it means pretty much nothing.

You've admitted that you posted a baseless claim about Donny butting heads with Pompeo and Bolton. Hilarious.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

If the Japanese are correct and it was "some sort of flying object", it could have come from the Saudis trying to start a war with their enemy the Iranians using American military muscle.

It also could have been the Iranians firing projectiles at the ship.

It could also have been Hiuthis firing projectiles st the ship with Iranian military muscle.

It could also have been aliens firing alien technology at the ship.

It could have been the Israelis firing projectiles at the ship.

It could also have been Obama bad Hillary firing projectiles at the ship.

Isn't speculating fun?! It's equally as useful.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

And never did anything in the Senate but voted present, but yeah...lol

You just agreed that Donny isn't smart enough

No, I agreed that all Presidents make mistakes, all President rely on their advisors. None of them really know that much with the exception of Teddy and Eisenhower.

You've admitted that you posted a baseless claim about Donny butting heads with Pompeo and Bolton. Hilarious.

I admitted that liberal feeble attempts to try in vain at taking down this President is fruitless at best.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

There was nothing Obama could have done to prevent the invasion/annexation of the Crimea. It was on the border with Russia, part of the population are Russians. Other than going to war with Russia on Crimea soil there was nothing to prevent it. Putin knew no country could stop him.

If it happened today, the same would happen with Trump. If it happened tomorrow with a new president, the same.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Oh, Dump; how is fake news working for you... embarrassing?

Trump administration providing ‘false’ information about Gulf of Oman attack, says Japanese tanker owner

https://news.yahoo.com/oil-tanker-gulf-of-oman-iran-explosion-trump-administration-002916925.html

LOL!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The republican party wouldn't falsify information just to start another massive war. Certainly not someone as responsible as John Bolton. You know, John Bolton, that guy who worked for Bush and was investigated for fabricating the evidence that led to the Iraq War. It's not like John Bolton was hired and now immediately we're on the verge of another war in the middle east.

Well gee, who should I trust?! The owner of the tanker who likely had contact with the crew during the attack, or Donald Trump who has lied about EVERYTHING?! The answer is obvious to anyone with a functioning brain! But RepubliCONS seem to LOVE start wars!

The only way Dump will get re-elected is if we go to war.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

There was nothing Obama could have done to prevent the invasion/annexation of the Crimea.

Obama didn’t even try, so to say that is completely disingenuous. There was a lot Obama could have done, he didn’t even try to. There is no way anyone with a straight functioning brain will believe that.

If it happened today, the same would happen with Trump.

Don’t think so. Obama wouldn’t have sent an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf the way Trump did or threatened the Iranians the way Trump did and continue to do.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

The republican party wouldn't falsify information just to start another massive war. Certainly not someone as responsible as John Bolton.

Or like the Democrats wouldn’t use an unverified salacious dossier.

You know, John Bolton, that guy who worked for Bush and was investigated for fabricating the evidence that led to the Iraq War. It's not like John Bolton was hired and now immediately we're on the verge of another war in the middle east.

But it didn’t happen, relax. You’re making it as if the bombs dropped and there’s death and destruction. Liberals are getting all worked up for nothing.

Well gee, who should I trust?! The owner of the tanker who likely had contact with the crew during the attack, or Donald Trump who has lied about EVERYTHING?! The answer is obvious to anyone with a functioning brain! But RepubliCONS seem to LOVE start wars!

Really, and Democrats love bending over and giving in to appeasement and capitulation.

The only way Dump will get re-elected is if we go to war

No, as an incumbent and the roaring economy, taking a firmer stance on the border and the threat of these so called Democrats wanting to usher in Socialism and giving away free everything is what will get the President re-elected.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

I’m not changing the goalposts

Then you are admitting you were incorrect. Your own link demonstrates that Obama gave Putin the "stark warning" you claimed he hadn't.

And never did anything in the Senate but voted present, but yeah...lol

Trump wasn't even in politics, so this shouldn't worry you.

No, I agreed that all Presidents make mistakes, all President rely on their advisors. None of them really know that much with the exception of Teddy and Eisenhower.

That's not what your posts demonstrate.

I admitted that liberal feeble attempts to try in vain at taking down this President is fruitless at best.

How did we get from you making a claim based on anonymous sources to liberals trying to take down Donny? Thevteo are entirely unrelated.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Obama didn’t even try, so to say that is completely disingenuous. There was a lot Obama could have done, he didn’t even try to. There is no way anyone with a straight functioning brain will believe that.

Obama did nothing, as evidenced by this:

I never said such a thing. Confusing me with a liberal??

Your own link demonstrates that Obama gave Putin the "stark warning" you claimed he hadn't.

A verbal warning won’t get his attention, sending an aircraft carrier will, just the optics alone will get anyone out of bed.

Trump wasn't even in politics, so this shouldn't worry you.

But I was alive when Obama was in office.

That's not what your posts demonstrate.

Yes, they do, they all make mistakes and all are not perfect and some believe in going to other countries and apologizing all the time.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

A verbal warning won’t get his attention, sending an aircraft carrier will, just the optics alone will get anyone out of bed.

He claimed there was no verbal warning; I demonstrated you were incorrect. You then dug your heels in and claim you meant something else. Too funny.

Yes, they do, they all make mistakes and all are not perfect and some believe in going to other countries and apologizing all the time.

Yes, Donny does travel to other countries to appease dictators and capitulate to them.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Yes, but sometimes when foreign adversaries try and take you on, it depends a response or at the very least a stark warning. With Crimea there was none of that.

He claimed there was no verbal warning;

I said, that wouldn’t get Putin’s attention since he never feared or worried about the man. I wouldn’t either. Sending an aircraft carrier will get your attention every single time, even after the eighth tequila shot.

Yes, Donny does travel to other countries to appease dictators and capitulate to them.

Hmmmm...he didn’t give anyone anything. Tariffs still on China, Kim still doesn’t have sanction relief...

You are claiming their was no "stark warning" from Obama to Putin on Crimea.

No, what I’m saying was the man was weak to the point where he wasn’t going to arm the Ukrainians or threaten Russia or even send carriers to get his attention, the man at best just got on TV and said, we condemn this.....wow! Real tough! That’ll put the fear of God in that man.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

I said, that wouldn’t get Putin’s attention since he never feared or worried about the man. I wouldn’t either. Sending an aircraft carrier will get your attention every single time, even after the eighth tequila shot.

You three in the "Putin wasnt afraid" dodge, which I predicted you would, after I demonstrated your claim was incorrect.

Hmmmm...he didn’t give anyone anything. Tariffs still on China, Kim still doesn’t have sanction relief...

ZTE in China and no wat games in South Korea.

No, what I’m saying was the man was weak to the point where he wasn’t going to arm the Ukrainians or threaten Russia or even send carriers to get his attention, the man at best just got on TV and said, we condemn this.....wow! Real tough! That’ll put the fear of God in that man.

That's not what the post i was replying to was about. You threw this in after I demonstrated your claim was incorrect.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Top 3 countries that benefit from this: Israel, Saudi, Russia( from driving up oil prices)

I don't think America is invovled, but it is so dumb and is being used

2 ( +3 / -1 )

You three in the "Putin wasnt afraid" dodge, which I predicted you would, after I demonstrated your claim was incorrect.

I wasn’t though.

ZTE in China and no wat games in South Korea.

But No Huwai and No sanctions lifted.

That's not what the post i was replying to was about.

Got backed in that corner again, no excuse.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Bass: Obama didn’t even try, so to say that is completely disingenuous. There was a lot Obama could have done, he didn’t even try to. There is no way anyone with a straight functioning brain will believe that.

It sounds like you want to credit Trump’s toughness by saying in your imagination he would have stopped Putin in Crimea? Do I have that right? And when asked how he would have done it, you have no answers, correct? Just “Trump wouldn’t have let that happen.”

I suppose we could use our imagination and say that he’s tough because of imaginary things he would have done, but why not use reality where he stood next to Putin and left him off the hook for election meddling? Wouldn’t that wet noodle performance, which you hated, be better evidence than your imaginary Trump victory in Crimea?

And to confirm one more thing, you were the one who has said dozens of times that the US needs to watch our step with Russia because they are a nuclear power and we don’t want to make them angry? How does that play into your imaginary Trump toughness victory?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I wasn’t though.

Okay.

But No Huwai and No sanctions lifted.

So Donny hadn't appeased and capitulated in regards to sanctions relief and Huawei. That doesn't change the fact that he capitulated and appeased in regards to ZTE and war games.

Got backed in that corner again, no excuse.

Unbelievable that I post your own words demstratingbyour original claim and you accuse me of being backed into a corner. Hilarious.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

It sounds like you want to credit Trump’s toughness by saying in your imagination he would have stopped Putin in Crimea?

Not my imagination, tell you what, he wouldn’t just sat there and took it up the chute like Obama, that’s for sure.

I suppose we could use our imagination and say that he’s tough because of imaginary things he would have done,

Given the history of how he’s been to our adversaries compared to Obama, yes, we can imagine, Trump is in your face, antagonistic and confrontational and Obama a pacifist all the way.

And to confirm one more thing, you were the one who has said dozens of times that the US needs to watch our step with Russia because they are a nuclear power and we don’t want to make them angry?

That doesn’t mean, we have to do an Obama.

How does that play into your imaginary Trump toughness victory?

Not imaginary, just a real case possible scenario.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

So Donny hadn't appeased and capitulated in regards to sanctions relief and Huawei. That doesn't change the fact that he capitulated and appeased in regards to ZTE and war games.

Which is really not as big of a deal compared to denying a giant company like Huwai access to US markets and giving in to sanctions on NK. Big difference.

Unbelievable that I post your own words demstratingbyour original claim and you accuse me of being backed into a corner. Hilarious.

What? Nice try. Lol

Amazing how just months ago the Democrats were saying if you don't believe our intel reports you're a traitor and you love Russia, but all of a sudden if you trust the intel reports you're a warmonger.

Northernlife - Wonder why Iranian navy went and saved those merchant sailors....

They didn't. The crews were "saved" by other merchant vessels. One crew was then transferred to a U.S. ship, and the other was transferred to the Iranian Guard. One crew has been released, and one crew is still being held in captivity. Guess which nation has released it's "saved" crew members, and which nation is still holding hostages.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Bass:. Not my imagination, tell you what, he wouldn’t just sat there and took it up the chute like Obama, that’s for sure.

Oh, I see.

Ummm....Obama was so strong that 9/11 wouldn't have happened under his watch.

See how tough he is?

Oh, I see.

Ummm....Obama was so strong that 9/11 wouldn't have happened under his watch.

See how tough he is?

Well, he definitely wouldn’t call the perpetrators terrorists or jihadists, just misguided and confused individuals.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

"The terrorist threat is real and it is dangerous," Obama told a crowd that included special operations troops at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. But unlike fascism and communism, today's extremists are do not threaten the world order. "They are thugs and they are murderers and they should be treated that way."

bass4funk: "Well, he definitely wouldn’t call the perpetrators terrorists or jihadists, just misguided and confused individuals."

Because he is the same as them. He'd have to call himself those things first... then say he never said it, then be shown he did say it and call it fake news.... then once again say he never said it, then say it again and rinse and repeat. You would, of course, support him despite having called him a lunatic.

If i think is doing the right thing, yes.

Hey, man, just tell us... do you support circumventing the constitution to accept dirt from foreign agents? Are you for treason? Yes or no? Your president supports it, and you support him.... so why not just clarify your position on the matter?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Hey, man, just tell us... do you support circumventing the constitution to accept dirt from foreign agents?

I do and so do the Democrats. Where did the fake dossier originate from? It was from a foreign entity so by your own words the Democrats are treasonous traitors. Also, the President said, he would look st any information that might come his way, the Democrats did and would do so as well, this isn’t a partisan issue.

Are you for treason? Yes or no?

What?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

The U.S. has NO credibility here and FALSE FLAG shouts out at anyone capable of hearing. The nature of the 'attack', striking Japanese-interest vessels while the Japanese PM is sipping tea in Tehran, is a message TO JAPAN from the local axis of homicidal psychopathy passing through Riyadh and Tel Aviv that being friendly with the Iranians will threaten Japanese oil shipments, specifically. It's how we have seen the zionists 'negotiate' on many occasions. Blow something up, murder someone, create fear as a baseline, and ALWAYS point the finger at someone else. If the behaviors of Human Identity Groups (nationalisms, religions, et cetera) were diagnosed like individual Humans, the zionists would be Borderline Personality Disorder with Homicidal Impulses and Behaviors. And, sadly, the young who were not aware at the time will not realize the absolute parallels here between this sprayed liquid bullfaeces and the Bush WMD lies leading to thousands of dead American young people and a million Iraqi casualties blown apart, incinerated, shredded, or shot dead for no reason at all and a generation of chaos and death afterward. Critics too, such as Patrick Daniel Tillman (Am. football) who went from U.S. Army poster boy to high profile war critic to death by 'friendly fire' shortly thereafter. HOO-RAH! THIS is TERRORISM and it is the U.S. who is the world's most prolific supporter of right wing terrorism and right wing murder. And we see it right here in this dishonest report.
