Trump has zero capacity to judge anyone as dumb as a rock.

Rex Tillerson's father was employed by the Boy Scouts of America. Rex is an Eagle Scout, and used a band scholarship to attend the University of Texas. He graduated with an engineering degree, and starting working from Exxon. He worked all the way to the top. His intelligence and effort is without question.

Donald Trump is a dumb rich kid, raised by nannies, coddled by his wealthy father, and able to avoid taking any responsibility for his actions throughout his life. He is the consummate scam artist and an unapologetic narcissist. He is on record as being a pathological liar.

If I had to back one person or another in this argument, I'd take the man who had to earn everything he got in life, over the one who had it all handed to him.

When you have dozens of managers quitting a company and ripping the CEO, then maybe, just maybe, the problem is the CEO.

Trump has zero capacity to judge anyone as dumb as a rock.

There seems to be some consensus there.

“His chief promises were that he would build the wall, defund planned parenthood and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn’t done any of those things. I’ve come to believe that Trump’s role is not as a conventional president who promises to get certain things achieved to the Congress and then does. I don’t think he’s capable. I don’t think he’s capable of sustained focus. I don’t think he understands the system. I don’t think the Congress is on his side. I don’t think his own agencies support him.”

To quote Tucker Carlson.

They say it takes one to know one.....

You don't go around slagging off your ex-staff in public.

Trump has no manners, no diplomatic skills, no class.

All he knows is threats and insults.

He's a person of very small stature, regardless of his height and girth.

Trump always spins around what's been specifically said and accurately reported about himself and throws it right back as though he said it first. Very childish and shows an inability to form his own thoughts and words. These are the same words (dumb as a rock, lazy) Rex Tillerson has previously used in describing Trump.

Nothing new here.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday called former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson "dumb as a rock" and "lazy as hell" a day after the former diplomat said he had warned the president against doing things that would violate the law.

Trump calling someone dumb as a rock and lazy as hell - oh the irony...

I'd list "all the best" here that Trump hired then turned on and belittled but there isn't room...

Confirmed yet again. Best POTUS ever. Pompeo is way better than Rex.

"Dumb as a rock" ? How old is Trump? Six?

So what is the going rate on self-respect these days?

"Rex Tillerson's career is the embodiment of the American dream. His tenacity, broad experience and deep understanding of geopolitics make him an excellent choice for secretary of state."

--Donald J. Trump, December, 2016

"Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell."

--Donald J. Trump, December, 2018

Trump is either incredibly bad at judging character when he hires people, or incredibly capricious, or incredibly petty. Or all three.

Or maybe Cult 45ers will insist that Trump really meant to say that being dumb as a rock is the embodiment of the American dream and that their dear leader is playing 16-dimensional chess.

Rex Tillerson was an awful SoS, no doubt about that. He did some serious damage to the State Department. He shares responsibility for that with the moron he worked for, and was hand picked by.

I'd have to say to him, well Mr. President, I understand what you want to do, but you can't do it that way. It violates the law, it violates treaty.

For Trumpsters, violating the law is a feature, not a bug - so long as you're Trump. Otherwise comes the "throw in jail!" chant.

Trump is just trying to distract from the really bad news this week Mueller showed in court that finally does draw a line of collusion directly to Trump.

When certain posters ask 'has Mueller found any collusion yet?' from now on, the answer is 'Yes. He has.'

If our leaders seek to conceal the truth, or we as people become accepting of alternative realities that are no longer grounded in facts, then we as American citizens are on a pathway to reliquishing our freedom.

This man might be many things but he definitely isn’t dumb. His former boss on the other hand.......

Donald Trump is a dumb rich kid,

To call someone who crushed 17 Washington establishment Republicans, an outsider, one of the biggest Real Estate moguls, biggest hit running TV show, properties all over the world to now the Presidency, that’s the smartest dumb rich kid I’ve ever seen.

raised by nannies, coddled by his wealthy father, and able to avoid taking any responsibility for his actions throughout his life.

And then later built his empire, even bigger, better and more grandeur than his father could ever imagine, quite impressive.

He is the consummate scam artist and an unapologetic narcissist. He is on record as being a pathological liar.

Most of Washington is and yet, they are all still in office, what’s up with that?

If I had to back one person or another in this argument, I'd take the man who had to earn everything he got in life, over the one who had it all handed to him.

I would back the person who became successful by whatever means to get to the top. Doesn’t matter really how, if you got help from your parents or in another legal fashion so be it and if you go by what you previously said then most of Hollywood has gotten to the top by help of their relatives, parents, grandparents etc.

*I would back the person who became successful by whatever means to get to the top. *Doesn’t matter really how

There you have it. The unapologetic moral vacuousness of Trumpism.

We are screwed. Think I'll have a drink or three.

If everyone that told Trump "if you do this, you'll break the law" are dumb as a rock, then I guess most of his administration is intellectually challenged...

As Mueller is showing us, the real mental midget here failed to follow their advice...

A further example of Trump's judgement and understanding of current affairs here in his latest tweet:

“The Paris Agreement isn’t working out so well for Paris. Protests and riots all over France. People do not want to pay large sums of money, much to third world countries (that are questionably run), in order to maybe protect the environment. Chanting “We Want Trump!” Love France.”

bass: And then later built his empire, even bigger, better and more grandeur than his father could ever imagine, quite impressive.

LOL You've been duped.

Trump had a string of failures and only managed to stay in business by constantly running back to daddy for more loans. Anyone else would have been bankrupt a long time ago.

Your problem is that you worship money. You see his bank account and think he must be an amazing man and it all ends there. You've taken your basic story about a rich kid would wasn't allowed to fail and turned it into some kind of amazing adventure of a man building his own empire.

That’s what your parents are there for, to help you out. Most stars do this, better that than going to a bank and look what he did after that, became an even bigger success, not to mention winning the Presidency.

Anyone else would have been bankrupt a long time ago.

Connections are everything, ask Charlie Sheen, Anderson Cooper, or Mika Brezenski

Your problem is that you worship money.

No, that is not my problem, that is my key to having a safe and comfortable life for me and my family.

You see his bank account and think he must be an amazing man and it all ends there.

No, I see a lot more. I see a man who despises Washington and hates how Washington has neglected the People, both parties and despite some of his flaws, the establishment thinks they have the right to undo the election of a duly elected President. Even though, I don’t like or believe in Sanders policies at all, look what the establishment did to him, so let’s be real and not make this a partisan issue.

You've taken your basic story about a rich kid would wasn't allowed to fail and turned it into some kind of amazing adventure of a man building his own empire.

Yes, indeed.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

That's not what you said about him when you hired him, so ... what changed?? And why do you make so many errors of judgement when you hire people??

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump, the man who scammed working folks out of their money with Trump University, and who twice was sued for discrimination, who bragged about sexual assault, is a man who despises how government has treated people.

Alrighty.

You love Bernie, you just don't know it. He's the one championing the cause of the middle class. You don't have to agree with any of his economic policies, which is fine since you don't know any of them anyway, but he speaks exactly like you do.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

.......... until Pompeo is fired........ then he becomes Trump's target........... next time on As The World Turns..........

If many of the hires seem to have questionable issues, maybe it's the hirer that's questionable
