Trump credits troops, and himself, for military advances

It goes without saying doesn't it??? where would we be without Donald;'s wisdom?? After all, he does know more than his own generals....

11 ( +11 / -0 )

"Everybody's talking about the progress you've made in the last few months since I opened it up,"

The warmonger-in-chief.

"So you're fighting for something real, you're fighting for something good,"

The military is made up of men and women from the working and middle classes. They're the ones 'fighting' and risking their lives for the increase of his personal fortune and those of the war and hydrocarbon industries.

"In a fight, you know a fight like I watch

The ones that others fight for me. All his life he's paid others to fight his fights, including the ones he's picked. Ol' bone spurs himself.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Once again, Moron makes it all about himself. It's sickening and insulting to the military to imply that they couldn't win until Trump was elected.

15 ( +15 / -0 )

Typical cherry picked and biased headline.

-14 ( +3 / -17 )

Typical cherry picked and biased headline.

Bias is in the eye of the beholder, init. I just checked Russia Today and they didn't cover this event, which shows their bias.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Funny stuff. So, in November he talked to the Coast Guard about the Air Force. When he went to Puerto Rica in October he talked to the Air Force about the Coast Guard. He keeps claiming these F-35s are 'invisible'. He's claiming he saved money by cutting their costs yet is also bragging he's increased the military budget by $700 billion. Maybe there really is something in these rumours of early onset dementia.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Winning, eh? That explains the increase of troops to Afghanistan, I suppose. So much winning, I'm getting sick of it.

Listen, it's a messy job, and no one could try to do a little without getting fully enmeshed, but c'mon - Trump is simply continuing Obama's policies and pretending to be the Second Coming about it all. Pathetic little man.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Trump has this habit of using 'everyone' or 'they' in sentences like 'everyone/they is/are talking about it'. I've lost count of the number of times he has used this.

Who is he talking about? The sock puppets on Fox and Friends?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Oh and the previous guy NEVER talked about himself? Come on

Of course when you do a good job you have earned the right to speak about your role and the role of others that achieved something.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

"In a fight, you know a fight like I watch on the movies ... how good is it?"

This ain't the movies, Ronald, er, I mean, Donald.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Oh and the previous guy NEVER talked about himself? Come on

Come on. Trump has taken grandstanding and self-aggrandisement to a whole new level. He's boasted about everything from his incredible vocabulary to his expansive military knowledge to the size of his manhood in a presidential debate.

I think it was a GOP lawmaker who said he knew Trump hadn't read the bible because Trump isn't in it.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

What a humble, selfless person.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I know words... I have the best words...

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Once again, Moron makes it all about himself. It's sickening and insulting to the military to imply that they couldn't win until Trump was elected.

Excuse me, he made it more about the sacrifices the troops made, at least this president respect the troops and the troops can have a president that has their back and deeply supports them, they lost all of that with the previous administration.

Trump has this habit of using 'everyone' or 'they' in sentences like 'everyone/they is/are talking about it'. I've lost count of the number of times he has used this.

So that’s a problem??? How?

Who is he talking about? The sock puppets on Fox and Friends?

Probably the people that the left forgot, like middle America.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Wait, are you saying the old man Fred was not able to pass the NY real estate empire on to his son/ business partner Donald? Admitting that inheritance would put a dent in Trump's godlike genius image, heh. So out of curiosity what happened to Fred's fortune?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

So, he is cheap! I mean ... oh well, whatever.

"On the Trumps' own Thanksgiving menu for family and friends at Mar-a-Lago: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, red snapper, Florida stone crab, baked goods, local produce and cheeses, and a selection of cakes and pies for dessert."

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Is your American thanksgiving feast pretty much the same as your Xmas feast?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He also created the earth in less time that it took god, and made this bread, and brought the sunlight that made it possible. He could be heard screaming "IT WAS ME!" for everything he pointed to.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

You never know about an ally. An ally can turn.

Back at you, Trumpo.

Does this moron not have a direct link between his brain and his mouth? Or does he think people aren't listening unless he's speaking directly at them? He just told all the US's allies that the US can't be trusted.

Of course when you do a good job you have earned the right to speak about your role

Of course you have. But you gotta do the good job first. Simply mouthing off with words (even the bigly best words) does not a good job make.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Trump told deployed military members via a video conference that they've achieved more progress in Afghanistan and against the Islamic State group under his watch than had been made in years of the previous administration.

he is right. the military, the economy, the stock market, unemployment, consumer confidence AND throwing out illegal criminals, all have improved since January.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

Wait, are you saying the old man Fred was not able to pass the NY real estate empire on to his son/ business partner Donald?

Trump didn’t want to just do small property real estate, he wanted to go to Manhattan and get into giant commercial real estate, his father was more content doing real estate in the suburbs. So he went a totally different route.

Admitting that inheritance would put a dent in Trump's godlike genius image, heh. So out of curiosity what happened to Fred's fortune.

Well, he didn’t, he made his own fortune and even if he did get all of his fathers money, so what? I grew up in a privileged family and because others didn’t thst makes people like us scoundrels? Give me a break. I had to bust my rear all my life to get to where I’m at and the same goes for the majority of the affluent. I’ve given back to my community, nothing wrong with being privileged or passing inheritance down to your kids. The left with their demonization of the rich keeps costing them. Smh

DT still spending tax payer money in his businesses...

5 ( +5 / -0 )

President Trump has no choice but to pat himself on the back - the legacy media sure won't do it.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

DT still spending tax payer money in his businesses.

Congress is spending more of your money, way more, especially the Democrats.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

@B4F, just setting the record straight, since you aren't going to be the one to explain how the majority of Trump's real estate fortune was inherited from his father. Funny that people from such privileged backgrounds are so insecure about giving credit where it's due. You busted your rear and barely got any help from family? That sounds just like Trump think.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Oh and the previous guy NEVER talked about himself? Come on

come on, how about a reality check. The guy can’t say anything without blowing his own horn, usually with “alternative facts” and outright lies.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

he is right. the military, the economy, the stock market, unemployment, consumer confidence AND throwing out illegal criminals, all have improved since January.

so has fascism and disregard of the constitution. Thankfully there are still judges who are not political fascists and do not swallow what Trump says without question.

I'd say all pro athletes give back to their community in some shape or form. Do you have proof that they don't? And where can we observe the monuments to your own charitable generosity?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I'd say all pro athletes give back to their community in some shape or form.

By taking the knee? Very productive. I can see the community enrichment already.

Do you have proof that they don't?

Yeah, because the ones that do have a list of accomplishes and the ones that don’t are....well, silent except for when it comes to spending money on themselves where it’s very easy to find reports and stories.

And where can we observe the monuments to your own charitable generosity?

In my own community

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Bass4funk: in their own businesses? How much more? Do you care to provide numbers?

No? Sad...

5 ( +6 / -1 )

What a disgusting display of junkfood--typical American fare. Hardly a holiday feast. The president should take public health more seriously.

I'd say all pro athletes give back to their community in some shape or form. Do you have proof that they don't? And where can we observe the monuments to your own charitable generosity?

I'd say they don't. Nor are they obligated to do so. But their displays of themselves serving turkey dinners at the homeless shelter is just that--displays. I doubt they bought the turkeys; just passing them out does nothing. If you\re getting five or six figures a game, why not do some real charity? Build a school, pay a poor kid's college tuition, help people with medical bills.

By taking the knee? Very productive. I can see the community enrichment already.

But it is very productive; that's why most whites don't like it. A better argument would be: why don't these minority athletes protest the fact that there's still a team with the picture of a Native American on it's helmet, and it calls itself the redskins? Not only isn't there protest, but the black players wear the team apparel very eagerly. I guess as long as you're making money and your people aren't the ones used as a logo, a mascot, and there isn't a team called the Carolina slaves, then everything is alright. These athletes are bogus, doing this just for show; they don't really care. They need to learn to stfu and just play. How about doing some real protesting: refusing to play for or play against a team that's proud of America's genocide, and thinks it's cool to name the team after a pair of boots made out of human skin.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Mr. Noidall: "What a disgusting display of junkfood--typical American fare."

Yup, let's generalize with an air of superiority and completely overlook the very large, two fresh fruit baskets. Yes, there is junkfood among the things displayed, for sure, same as even amidst washoku there is garbage to be had, but all the same.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Pro athletes at a very minimum are not handing over half their salaries in taxes for the benefit of their local cities, states, and country. Back to Econ 101 for all the Fox News addicted trust fund culture warriors.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

are handing over

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Yup, let's generalize with an air of superiority and completely overlook the very large, two fresh fruit baskets.

Probably California-grown on a huge factory farm, never seen or felt a human hand, full of chemicles empty on taste and nutrition, most likely genetically modified.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Trump has been spinning his defeats as "winning" or "victory" all his life. Whenever he loses at something, like a legal case, etc., he just declares victory and then moves on to his next scheme. I cannot believe Americans put this man in the White house.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

President Donald Trump thanked U.S. troops for their service on Thursday, assuring them "we're really winning" against America's foes as he celebrated Thanksgiving at his private club in Florida and provided lunch for Coast Guard men and women on duty for the holiday.

Why is his club private when the tax payer funds his trips there? Anyway, he must've enjoyed a gala; then he turns around and demonstrates his thanks to the troops by having subway cater their Thanksgiving dinner. Jeesh!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The only time Trump speaks without lying is when he makes up random meaningless tosh like the whole of this speech.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump has this habit of using 'everyone' or 'they' in sentences like 'everyone/they is/are talking about it'. I've lost count of the number of times he has used this.

So that’s a problem??? How?

It's the same as some posters here who post drivel like "The people" have had enough of the left, when the truth is less than a quarter of eligible voters voted Trump and more cast their ballots for someone they regard as left.

Nonsensical, inaccurate drivel.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The only time Trump speaks without lying

CNN, DNC now THOSE are liars. Trump has only helped the economy, the vets, the unemployed and the stock holders.

The only people who do not like him are ones who want to harbor criminals, collect welfare or cross dress

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

But it is very productive; that's why most whites don't like it.

Nothing defines being an American better than free speech.

So, when I see a player taking a knee, I feel proud to know they can do it in America.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

That spread is an insult.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Looks like a picnic for grade school kids. "Here little man, have an extra banana." "Grap an OJ and chips kids." "Who wants a giant football sized samwich with leftover turkey from the White House fridge? Drop back for a pass..."

3 ( +3 / -0 )

It takes only a quick glance to see that Trump's comments were, to put it kindly, comically inappropriate. Of course he could have spent the whole time talking about all the women he's ever had and some people would still make out like it was the Gettysburg Address.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

in their own businesses? How much more? Do you care to provide numbers?

No? Sad...

Sad, I don’t have any and none of us have proof other than, libs hate rich people.

Jealousy stinks.

Pro athletes at a very minimum are not handing over half their salaries in taxes for the benefit of their local cities, states, and country.

So so then why so many of them go broke. Someone’s being cheated. Funny the lib networks don’t mention that.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Nice buffet

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's just hard to believe a guy with that much power is that insecure.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Bass4funk: libs don’t hate the rich. This is a fantasy you entertain.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Sad, I don’t have any and none of us have proof other than, libs hate rich people.

So the rich, liberal elites you love to hate actually hate themselves.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

The only people who do not like him are ones who want to harbor criminals, collect welfare or cross dress

Any proof, links, citations, evidence to back this opinion?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

libs don’t hate the rich. This is a fantasy you entertain.

Sorry, you got me on that one, my bad. I meant, they love and idolize rich Democrats and liberals.

So the rich, liberal elites you love to hate actually hate themselves.

I wish.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Why should anyone revere the rich?

The rich make their money on the backs of the workers and other exploited people. Or they inherit their worth from rich parents.

There is absolutely nothing to respect there.

Whether they be Democrat or Republican.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

nothing wrong with being privileged or passing inheritance down to your kids. the saying goes your got to spend money to make money, and spending a huge inheritance to make more money is nowhere near as difficult than starting from the bottom. they're are many self made billionaires in this world, Trump isnt one of them. As another richer Billionaire Mark Cuban recently stated, Trump doesn't want to show his tax returns not because of anything dodgy but because hes embarrassed on how little money hes made contrary to what he states youtube.com/watch?v=DxGpLPrTFk0

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The rich make their money on the backs of the workers and other exploited people. Or they inherit their worth from rich parents.

A bit unfair. Bill Gates, a self-made billionaire unlike rich-kid, brat, p___y-grabbing celeb, multiple-bankruptcy Trump ( the Rodney Dangerfield of billionaires ), has done plenty of good with his money.

Bill Gates - part of the liberal elite. It’s people like this America would be much poorer without.

You sometimes find the right referencing people like Gates when someone bashes the US. They even boast about the idea of a country electing a black president but then make excuses for racially-charged filth like birtherism.

A funny bunch.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

JT should just publish an article titled, "Trump: Discuss" and let us all go at it for a day or three.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The meaningless ramblings of a businessman who does not know anything about military matters.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

nothing wrong with being privileged or passing inheritance down to your kids. the saying goes your got to spend money to make money, and spending a huge inheritance to make more money is nowhere near as difficult than starting from the bottom.

Then he was lucky as was I. Great. I would never apologize for having money or being raised privileged, I don't think I'm better, but I do consider myself lucky and blessed and feel that I should give people the tools and ideas on how to fish so that they can feed themselves.

they're are many self made billionaires in this world, Trump isnt one of them.

Not true, whether you got it from your parents or a loan from a bank for a startup, initially, someone gave you money to get from point A. to point B. So whether it was Trump or Gates or Jobs or the that loser Soros, someone took a chance and said," let's see what you can do."

As another richer Billionaire Mark Cuban recently stated, Trump doesn't want to show his tax returns not because of anything dodgy but because hes embarrassed on how little money hes made contrary to what he states.

Well, that settles it, if Cuban says something, it's always true and fact based. ROFL.

And as my father told me as a child, after the first billion, who's counting?

A bit unfair. Bill Gates, a self-made billionaire unlike rich-kid, brat, p___y-grabbing celeb, multiple-bankruptcy Trump ( the Rodney Dangerfield of billionaires ), has done plenty of good with his money.

Good on Gates, but thank God for Steve Jobs though!! Kudos to the real man!

You sometimes find the right referencing people like Gates when someone bashes the US. They even boast about the idea of a country electing a black president but then make excuses for racially-charged filth like birtherism.

A funny bunch.

What? Yeah...ok...ROFL

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Good on Gates, but thank God for Steve Jobs though!! Kudos to the real man!

Another member of the liberal elite.

Liberal elites, eh? Kudos!

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Another member of the liberal elite.

No, I meant for Capitalism. Kudos! LOL

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Bass4funk: libs don’t hate the rich. This is a fantasy you entertain.

It is actually the rich republicans who hate the rest. Look at the current

tax bill their republican puppets in Congress are writing for them now. Huge

benefits go to the rich and the rest, they get screwed over. But the

funny thing is that bread and butter republicans vote to have their taxes increased.

They vote against their own interests. Why you might ask. Well being stupid does

not help but there is more to it than that.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump or Gates

Gates would be a better president than Trump. At least 20x since he's 20x richer.
