Trump orders probe into China's trade practices

Trump orders a "probe" to see if action needs to be taken. Not an order for action to be taken.

Although Trump constantly criticized China's trade practices on the campaign trail, his administration has not taken direct action against Beijing. It declined to name China a currency manipulator and has delayed broader national security probes into imports of foreign steel and aluminum that could indirectly affect China.

Weak.

Come on. China as been copying technologies from the West and other Asian countries for years.

Will Jared continue to hawk US visas to rich Chinese? Will Trump's various family businesses shift their operations from China to the US? Will the money Trump owes Chinese (and other) 'financiers' be paid back, or traded for favors?

Or is this just Trump the politician creating headlines for his followers who won't read the whole story.

Although this is a good move as China's IP violations are truly egregious, Trump won't do anything about it. As clearly demonstrated China owns him completely, he's just a tool

Trump asking for more trademarks in China? Not enough rich Chinese folks taking advantage of son-he-never-had Jared's offer? Chinese authorities not doing enough to promote Ivanka's products?
