Since Trump knows more than the generals, and everyone else, just ask him, he's correct.

Lmfao!

"I want to get out, I want to bring our troops back home. I want to start rebuilding our nation."

On this I agree with Trump.

I wish, however, I could believe that Trump's doing this for the US, as he claims, and not doing it to placate Putin in Putin's quest to continue Russian empire expansion.

General Joe Votel, who leads the military's Central Command, suggested the U.S. should play a long-term role in Syria in terms of stabilizing the areas that once had been freed from IS occupation.

I'm curious how the Trump supporters who lambasted Obama for not listening to his generals think about Trump not listening to his generals. But I think I know the answer: Anything Trump does = good, anything Obama did = bad.

Trump: I have a plan that will defeat ISIS within 30 days of taking office.

Trump: My plan is great because I’m smarter than the generals.

Trump: I’m going to let the generals take over.

Trump: I’m not listening to the generals anymore and we are going to pull out and bring our troops home.

Trump: Or maybe not if SA cuts us a check,

How long until the Trump boot lickers are here telling us how correct Trump is and how Obama is responsible for the troops still being in Syria over a year after Dumpster Fire Donny took over?

Trump is 110% right on this one! We have no business in Syria!

@cla68 US troops just happen to be exactly where the oil is.

I agree. The oil and control of oil and gas pipelines are the main reasons the US, Russia (the 'invited guests'), Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and others are there. Plus then there's a naval base, plus territory to expand empires.

All at the expense of the Syrian people.

Is asking Saudi to pay...like the mafia asking for protection money?

US troops just happen to be exactly where the oil is.

That oil belongs to the people of Syria, not American oil companies.

Oh, and what about Russia, Iran, Turkey holds a summit that didn't include the Syrians? The US isn't there for the "oil" no matter how much you want to use that old scapegoat excuse. Personally I don't think the US should have gotten involved at all and let Assad deal with the situation he helped create himself.

Yeah, and if Trump had said he wants to increase troops in Syria, you'd be whining about that.

Lmfao!

As I said, decisions made in the Syria mess mostly isn't by Trump. If it's really up to Trump he already got troops out of Syria. But those top officials will get in the way and nothing will change anytime soon. The US will make more excuses to be there to keep things from settling down.
