The Senate has just been subjected to what I call a "dominance" meeting. It has no purpose except to force the attendees into a subordinate position.

It has, how would you know this?

The only thing accomplished here was a demonstration that Trump can bend the entire Senate to his will. Next time he'll tell them to walk or take cabs. He won't even have to provide buses to get them to the White House to be abused.

It made no specific mention of military options

Strategic patience redux?

If there were only remotely true, if they did, Obamacare would have been already repealed and replaced and if the GOP are in lockstep with Trump, we wouldn't be looking at a possible shutdown. Very different from the last president that jumped like lemmings over everything that he did right or wrong.

While tensions have increased since Trump took office, they've escalated dramatically in recent weeks

His entire presidency has only been 'recent weeks'!

Very different from the last president that jumped like lemmings over everything that he did right or wrong.

Yep, the difference between someone who knows how to effectively lead, and someone who doesn't. Obama knew how to get people to follow his lead, which is what made him a great leader. Trump is quickly learning that leading a government, where you can't just fire someone, is nothing like running a company, where you can.

You guys wanted the guy who was different. This is what you get - an ineffectual leader.

So he has a bit of a pattern of ramping up the rhetoric, then returning things to pretty much where they were before. China, Syria, Korea, etc.

Another backflip and triple turn by Trump...His first 100 days a disaster.

That's ok, every single president since George Washington has backflipped on many issues.

Yep, the difference between someone who knows how to effectively lead,

The other day in an interview, he admitted he didn't do as well as he liked, well, at least he can now admit what a failure his 8 years were. As they say, we live in hope and light is the best disinfectent.

and someone who doesn't. Obama knew how to get people to follow his lead, which is what made him a great leader.

No, he knows how to make people pull their hair out and jump hurdles over congress, he did do that exceptionally well. Props to him.

Trump is quickly learning that leading a government, where you can't just fire someone, is nothing like running a company, where you can.

I agree and not bad for someone that never held public office in his life.

You guys wanted the guy who was different. This is what you get - an ineffectual leader.

As long as he gets the tax reform under his belt, get Obamacare repealed and replaced and once these stupid judges get a wake-up call once these cases go to the Supreme court, it'll be pretty much smooth sailing for the next 4 to 8 years

In your opinion.

Worst rating of a president for the first 100 days in history, people, and growing less popular by the day (after losing the popular vote by a LOT!).

bass4funk: "That's ok, every single president since George Washington has backflipped on many issues."

Not in the way that Trump has, and not nearly as often. Trump has gone COMPLETE 180, not just adjusted attitude. But you would know, I guess, having seen trump as a "lunatic" a year ago, to being willing to sell your soul now.

Mr. Noidall: Yes, but you see, when Trump does the exact same (or worse), it's suddenly "different". Remember "drain the swamp"? When it was Trump filling it in with even worse filth it was suddenly "sensible to hire people with experience", etc.

Doesn't really matter and it doesn't mean that after 100 days it's lights out, they still have 4 to 8 years to govern and if you really truly want to measure a presidents progress, it should be measured in the first two years to make a concrete observation of his overall policies and how the country has acclimated itself to a new president and would be the fair way to verify if he really did a good job or not. 100 is nothing, but the deregulation of Wall St. and appointing a conservative to the SCOTUS is a monumental achievement.

He doesn't need to adjust his attitude especially as long as the Dems continue to whine and stomp their feet. Timeout boys!

When it was Trump filling it in with even worse filth it was suddenly "sensible to hire people with experience", etc.

So he's supposed to fill it with zero inexperienced college students that still live in their parent's basement?

Because any type of military action against NK is doomed.  will just unleash chaos in SK.  look at the middle East and then extrapolate that 100 times.......  KJU wins this round......

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said THAAD would upset the region's "strategic balance."

It would move the lob sided balance from China towards a more equal balance.
