Nixon all over again

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It’s okay to have no policies other than to block the agenda of a president you don’t like.

That is the Democrats' agenda.  Ever since their humiliating 2016 defeat, the Democrats have been on a hysterical witch hunt using scare tactics, distortion of facts and fabrication to divide the country and block Trump's agenda and derail his policies.  They delight in clipping wings because they themselves have none.

Unfortunately, the Democrats will win the House and possibly the Senate.  Stock market plunge will accelerate on Wednesday when the election results are in.  The Democrats taking the House will be a disaster for Trump and the country as they will initiate fake multiple investigations and impeachment procedures, having no other policy.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Conservatives are stupid and are bad at maths.

Yeah, that’s why the liberals got 2016 all wrong and the economy as we move forward. ROFL!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Conservatives are stupid and are bad at maths.

I disagree. People like Milton Freidman and his fellow monetarists use brilliant math. They're conservatives. Most Trump supporters are NOT conservatives.

Conservatives value and want to maintain traditional US systems; they're believers in US democracy. I don't agree with most of their platform, but like safety officers and accountants they keep things from moving too fast.

Trump supporters have said all along they want to undermine US democratic systems to give Trump and his fellow .01%ers in the US and 'abroad' more control. They've said they have more in common with Russians than their US neighbors who have different perspectives. They say they like Putin because he claims to be a conservative. But maybe he's a conservative in the same with Italian and German leaders were in the 1930s.

2 more days to go to see the results.

And the usual Cult 45'ers are doing the same denial and blame game

Yes, we will. Razor thin, so it’s not a sure win for either side. Let’s see what happens, the Dems think this is a shoe in...lol

Funny how these are from other liberals. I really tried not to laugh at one, really.

Funnh how conservatives constantly demonstrate the veracity of my statements. I really trie not to laugh, but it's impossible.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The statistics bear out the liberals are more educated and well informed than conservatives. Reading comments on most threads supports this. Liberals make valid, logic, fact-based comments.

When I looked the only people I see wanting to see his tax returns at all coming from crazy progressive sites.

People are crazy progressive sites? Or, crazy progressive sites are people?

2 ( +2 / -0 )

When I looked the only people I see wanting to see his tax returns at all coming from crazy progressive sites.

Trump, Jan 16, 2017 - “I’m under a routine audit and it'll be released, and as soon as the audit is finished it will be released."

Lie #2,134 - of over 6,000

3 ( +3 / -0 )

If the Dems take the House, we'll be hearing about how Trump's incompetence is their fault.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The statistics bear out the liberals are more educated and well informed than conservatives. Reading comments on most threads supports this. Liberals make valid, logic, fact-based comments. Conservatives make hyperbolic, falsehood-laden, illogical comments when they aren't employing everyone's favorite retort: I know you are but what am I.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"A vote for Republicans is a vote for me (Trump)." Thank you for spelling it out so clearly. The 2-year experiment of having a mere businessman attempt to serve as President of the United States has failed spectacularly. Trump and his cabinet must be ousted ASAP. So the US voters must vote for Democrats in order to put a stop to the Trump chaos, fascism, violence, hatred, attacks, divisiveness, bullying, and lawlessness.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I've seen some of your beliefs about libreal positions so it doesn't surprise me you're going to crazy sites. It's probably the reason why you're so misinformed.

It will also help to not go to those sites if his taxes are released. We really need to work hard to make sure you keep yourself in the dark with limited information to make decisions.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Like I said, you don't have to look. Just click away from any story that might publish information about his tax returns and you should be OK. Granted, it will take some work, but keeping yourself in the dark is the best choice for you.

When I looked the only people I see wanting to see his tax returns at all coming from crazy progressive sites.

blacklabel: Wonder if the racist robocalls also coming from the Dems?

This is an extremely effective tactic to use with low intelligence Trump voters, and the first comment black makes in situations like this. He's been trained well.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You would agree with me?

If that were to happen, yes.

Yeah, why would the GOP ever not be hyper-partisan? I mean, it's not like they are supposed to be working for the people over party or anything.

The Democrats have a done so since the late 60s, don’t give me that.

*Party is the only thing that matters. The onlything. *

That’s exactly the reason why the Democrats want to do nothing but focus on investigations. If they were smart The first thing that that would do would be to try to work on behalf of the people to do whatever they can to tell the people, but that is a tall order desk of the Democrats. Taking money is far easier. and that’s evident and you can see with your own eyes and you go to California the difference in stark contrast from liberal policies compared to conservative policies that you can say where do you want to live.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

2) Why on Earth would the GOP go along with anything they know wouldn’t work?

Yeah, why would the GOP ever not be hyper-partisan? I mean, it's not like they are supposed to be working for the people over party or anything. Party is the only thing that matters. The only thing. The people are simply a tool to be used to maintain power, they are never to be thought of as those whom government serves. Right?

...

...right?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

This is extreme partisanship. Your subjective view of a disastrous policy means you can jettison the principle. You are prepared to accept the very damaging idea of opposing and blocking along party lines provided it is blocking ideas you don’t like.

1) If they were so good, the pantsuit lady would have won.

2) Why on Earth would the GOP go along with anything they know wouldn’t work?

‘Partisanship on the lunatic fringe’ could be a very good title for a Washington Post article.

Democrats aren’t capable of that.

The election results will show us what we need to know.

once again the hate crime was fake, black gay Dem activist spray painting racist things at the synagogue. He was an Obama campaign volunteer, it’s sad to see the hateful things caused by democrats and their rhetoric. Wonder if the racist robocalls also coming from the Dems?

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Yes! Let's! It's going to be great watching the Democrats spit right back in the face of the morons in the Republican party by playing their own game against them.

It’s great and I’m all for it, the faster they do this, the easier it will for the GOP to retake the House, provided they do indeed lose it.

Hah, your calls of 'witch hunt' are so tired now. That's like 4 months ago.

Yes and in that time, the Democrats tried to throw everything else at Trump and Kavanaugh and failed miserably....so now it’s time to go back to Russia again, let’s see for the 120th time bringing back the Russian narrative and see if it’ll work.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

The Democrats should take advantage of the new unilateral subpoena power Republicans granted themselves in the House. Maybe go after Don Jr.?

Yes, let’s have more hearings right out of the gate and focus primarily on that and add that to an already wasteful witch-hunt like the current one. So what are the Democrats running on and what are their policies again? 40% tax hike? That’ll make them popular.....with the college progressives.

Or how about getting Trump’s taxes while his base fights tooth and nail to keep themselves in the dark.

I’m sorry, for what do you need them? Maddow already stole some tax records from the President, still not enough? Oh, with Democrats it’s never enough.

At the end of the day they can just block themselves from reading them if it makes them happy.

The possibilities are limitless, all with the newfound power granted by the GOP.

As I have said before, I’m with you, I hope the Dems waste their time investigating Trump and Kavanaugh and then that will their shortest run in power, that is, if they do indeed take the House.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Right. It’s okay to have no policies

It is? So the Dems are bunch of hot air? I knew it!

other than to block the agenda of a president you don’t like.

Over disastrous policies? This is why liberals are afraid of a conservative court, they enjoyed a free ride with these activist judges, can’t say I blame the anger. That’s a least 30-40 years of frustration that will in no doubt manifest to more whining.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

It’s okay to have no policies other than to block the agenda of a president you don’t like. To have no policies and block the agenda of a president you do like is fine.

Partisanship defined.

Hyper-partisanship even.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

calling people with a different opinion stupid is probably not doing any favors to either side.

The time for respect went out the window now that these people have become downright dangerous to society. Their guy sends out bombs, and their people try to frame it as a false flag. Their guy shoots up a synagogue, and his people try to frame themselves as having no responsibility.

It's ok to be stupid when that stupidity is not dangerous. When it becomes dangerous, well it's time to tell the stupid that they are stupid. Rip off the band-aid. These people obviously think their thought process has validity, it's time to tell them it doesn't.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

And this is what we get from Trump's hate speech and the Faux News megaphone; a mother and child harassed on the way to vote....this is you Trumpsters - proud of yourselves?

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/trumps-deporting-illegal-cousins-today-driver-harassed-mother-child-apologizes-203826449.html

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Sorry! Should be ‘not fine’ in the third sentence.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

You were quite happy to see the Republicans have the basic policy of blocking anything the previous president wanted to do.

Yes, because his income redistribution policies and not so business friendly policies didn’t help the country at all, not to mention neglecting the largest segment that overwhelmingly voted for him.

Right. It’s okay to have no policies other than to block the agenda of a president you don’t like. To have no policies and block the agenda of a president you do like is fine.

Partisanship defined.

that is why three Crow Nation tribal leaders are at a President Trump rally; because the sooo hate him.

Turn the camera in the other direction and see how many non-whites you see in the audience. Trump rally organizers always place some minorities directly behind the stage.

As Laguna pointed out, the GOP in North Dakota wouldn't have worked so hard to disenfranchise Native Americans living on tribal lands without a "valid" address if these people were so staunchly pro-Trump.

we will soon follow it up with another 10 percent tax cut for the middle class," Trump said

More false advertising.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

That's why the GOP. . . . is using them as props. -- comment

Heh, and that is why three Crow Nation tribal leaders are at a President Trump rally; because the sooo hate him.

Foreign liberals continue to lower the bar of decency when they liken our Native Americans to cigar store Indians.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Do they need any?

Spoken like a true US liberal. I admire the honesty.

You were quite happy to see the Republicans have the basic policy of blocking anything the previous president wanted to do.

Yes, because his income redistribution policies and not so business friendly policies didn’t help the country at all, not to mention neglecting the largest segment that overwhelmingly voted for him.

I just can’t keep up.

Yup! Lol

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Tex, look up the stats. Native Americans vote overwhelmingly Dem. That's why the GOP is trying to strip them of their voting rights and why Trump is using them as props.

Facts are to conservatives what kryptonite is ro Superman.

A great photo showing members of the Crow Nation supporting our President in Montana. Rest assured the democrats are melting down over this picture. Deep in their dark, dark hearts, they are blowing a gasket that their liberal leaders stumping for candidates (cough, cough, Obama, Biden, Harris) are unable to get just one photo op with any representative of America's Tribal Nation.

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

Reporting on Trump's words and actions is not being anti-Trump.

We’re talking about people too stupid to realize that Trump started the fake news movement with his blatant lies about Obama. They are too stupid to comprehend the point you are making above. You may as well try explaining the fourth dimension to a monkey.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

the media has been overwhelmingly anti Trump since he got elected..

Reporting on Trump's words and actions is not being anti-Trump.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

The economy? Eight years of Obama did indeed do wonders for economic recovery, but the massive tax cuts by Trump and the GOPers just about guarantee an economic collapse.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Fake News Media Is The Enemy Of The People.

Trump cites conspiracy theory trash from the National Enquirer.

Surely that makes him an enemy of the people?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

in the latest injection of racial tensions into the campaigns, a wave of automated calls using racist and anti-Semitic language went out to voters in Georgia, where a Democratic candidate is vying to become the first black female governor in the United States.

If there is a recording going out to many people, surely the journalists should provide that evidence? People in the comments section ask each other for "evidence links" yet the JOURNOS get free reign to say and do as they please? What hypocrites. Fake News Media Is The Enemy Of The People.

NY is a city.

What is this in reference to?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

NY is a city.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

The Republicans motto is basically "Do as we threaten, and do not even think of daring to do what we do"

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Dems should be OK. If we can get the House then we can start spinning up investigations. From there we can start getting our hands on emails and documents that we can selectively leak in the name of oversight.

Maybe they can even go after Nunez and check all of his messages.

Straight from the repubs' playbook. Imagine how loudly they howl when we start doing to them what they've been doing to us. It'll be hilarious.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

I see, so besides investigations and robbing Paul to give to Peter what else are the Democrat policies

Do they need any? You were quite happy to see the Republicans have the basic policy of blocking anything the previous president wanted to do.

Have you done yet another 180 on that being an acceptable strategy? I just can’t keep up.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

James Polite, the man arrested for defacing the synagogue, also daubed messages related to Puerto Rican independence. He has been remanded for psychological testing. Bringing up this fluke event is in no way related to the organization required to produce the robocalls. Red herring.

And I wonder how those native Americans feel about the GOP push to disenfranchise their brethren in North Dakota.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

Dems should be OK. If we can get the House then we can start spinning up investigations.

So that’s why the Dems want power? Ok, so as usual No policies, but let’s have investigations. If the Dems do take the House back, they’ll lose it again faster than a 1 year old holding a lollipop. Let’s pray that they do just that.

From there we can start getting our hands on emails and documents that we can selectively leak in the name of oversight.

Good luck with that.

Maybe they can even go after Nunez and check all of his messages.

I see, so besides investigations and robbing Paul to give to Peter what else are the Democrat policies? Income redistribution, impose regulations, impose higher taxes and what else?

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

Indeed, a democrat was arresred for speayi g anti-semitic graffitti ona synagogue in NY. An indication if who is actually responsible for 'racist and divisive' tactics.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

Poor attempt at propagandizing. Inductive reasoning is appropriate in many instances, but NOT when (maybe unless) it’s intent is to flame and add to ‘western’ divisions.

Seeing a few men wearing headdresses worn by some Native American tribe members does NOT mean the Native American community as a whole stands firmly by Trump.

Yeah, the problem with this is that the inference is 'even with all the stuff we say that should alienate them, they are still with us, so it's ok that we say that stuff'.

This is why people hate 'Uncle Toms' so much.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

@laguna There is zero veracity to that statement.

For Trump's base, there's no need for him to be honest. They excuse his constant lying saying odd things like 'all politicians lie'. But I guess that means that some are finally admitting Trump's just another politician.

They've heard so many lies from Trump and for some reason still believe what he says.

It's BIG LIES redux. (Refer to My Struggle.)

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Republicans passed a massive tax cut for working families and we will soon follow it up with another 10 percent tax cut for the middle class.

There is zero veracity to that statement.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Trump: the divider in chief. Lying to increase fear levels. Increased fear levels are good for guns and ammo sales, which puts more weapons in the hands of a group that already has arsenals to rival law enforcement and the military. But that's what many in that group want.

@burnbush Nice picture, glad to see the Native American community standing firmly behind Mr. Trump.

It’s faulty reasoning like this that contributes to racism, sexism and culturism.

That kind of stereotyping is expected from Internet Research Agency employees, Bannon Breitbart backers, infowars followers and other haters trying to undermine the remaining bits of US and ‘western’ democracies.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

I'd like to know who paid for those racists and anti-Jew phone calls. Didn't get any here. I need to try and find a recording.

I live in Georgia. https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/voting_software.png expresses my take on voting machines.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

"The Democrats want to invite caravan after caravan to flood your communities, depleting our resources and flooding our nation," Trump told the Montana crowd. "We don't want that."

Brazen lying meant only to instill fear in those stupid enough to believe it - I've never seen anything like it - wait, over the past two years I've seen it over 6000 times....

https://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/statements/byruling/false/

A wave of robocalls using racist language went out in Georgia in recent days apparently targeted at undermining the campaign of former state lawmaker Stacey Abrams, who is running to become the first black female governor in the United States, according to her and her rival's campaign.

Which makes me think the folks in the white sheets and hoods must have been cropped out of the picture above...

Don't vote for white supremacists, don't vote for the fear mongering, don't vote for more wars in the Middle East, don't vote to gut regulations designed to prevent another financial collapse, mostly don't vote for the candidates of Putin. Throw the Russian Republicans out....

8 ( +11 / -3 )
