Not quite 1883 Krakatoa, but still, biggly boom. Stay safe.

Those boat owners must be pissed and probably have no insurance for a tsunami.

Usually H&M insurance will have provision for "acts of god" as long as the vessel was stored and operated within its insured limits and geographical boundaries.

Are there likely to be more eruptions soon?

Ask the volcano.

That eruption was huge, you could see the shockwave from the satellite footage.

The shockwaves extended to Colorado in one direction and through the United Kingdom, as well, according to data monitored via the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

No kidding, @Hiro 12:40pm. Even ‘Fifers’ as far away as a weather station in Scotland ‘felt’ the effects of this eruption:* “**just incredible to think of the power that can send a shockwave around the world" after the eruptions produced a jump in its [Scotland’s] air pressure graph.” -*

-@Hiro 12:40pm: “Just to give you a feel how massive this shock wave was. Tonga is 8000km away from Japan and the coastline still got tsunami waves.”
