Putin and the Kremlin need to send their forces back across the border to places within what the world recognize as Russia where they belong and accept that the USSR was a bad idea in the first place, and that most living in the former SSRs do NOT want Moscow running their lives again. And they also need to be reminded that because most of the rest of the world has a free press, that we are fully aware Russia has a huge arsenal of nukes, and that only insane people would resort to threatening to use them.

I don't even know why after more than 2 months the UN is still 'negotiating'. It is the peak global body charged with protecting humanity. The least it could do is call out China/India/Russia for being anti-humanity.

Attacking civilians right in front of a UN Head? Why does Russia have a veto on the security-council?

UN leader visits Moscow and speaks to miss Putin and then flies on the Kyiv. Putin bombs Kiev. I guess that is how much respect he has for the UN and the rest of the world.

So far, Putin and his army of Orcs have shown "great bravery" in killing defenseless women and children. Not so much against those who can shoot back. Remember, the Soviet Union fell apart exactly 12 years after it invaded Afghanistan. And we all know that those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Russia will lose, count on it.

Attacking civilians right in front of a UN Head?

No, civilians were not attacked. Arms and fuel stores were attacked.

Russia will lose, count on it.

And yet everyday a little more of the map changes color to Russian red as more towns and villages come under Russian control. The only thing Russia is losing is the propaganda war, but this is unwinnable with the biased western media.

The UNs biggest funding is the US, it is headquartered in the US, and the US can deny visas to any diplomats it doesn’t like. These are facts.

Give the evacuees food….

Yeah, a small morsel of bread with water.

Give the evacuees medical care…

Yeah, and be sure the Russian propaganda film crew gets images of this small group.

Give them shelter…

Yeah, in a Russian labor camp.

Give these desperate evacuees warmth…

Yeah, straight into the loving arms of a drunken Russian soldier /slash/ war criminal.

It’s atrocious that the Russian are even there doing the terrible things that they’re doing. It’s like the Middle Ages.

Ukraine gots month to figure away to drive Russian off their land into some kind of agreement,by force or they will be strangle economic by Russian, the idea of getting dependent on others is a recipe for failure, you will not only be bombed into the stone age,you will be at the mercy of Russia, all the military equipment, will not save you

“Ukraine gots month to figure away to drive Russian off their land into some kind of agreement . . . “

Yeah! It serves the Ukrainians right for invading Russia! Oh, wait a minute! Russia was the one who attacked and invaded Ukraine for no reason.

Even harder to win when you launch an unprovoked invasion, indiscriminately bomb civilians and leave scores of murdered civilians in your wake.

But yeah, biased western media MSM Nazi biolabs etc boo hoo.

Storm,it do not matter, why they invaded,it matter how they will be expelled,if they seize more land and encircle you and force you to surrender, better to take fight into Russia

@Yrral

Invading Russia isn’t in the cards. It would probably do more harm than good for various reasons. Best to drive the invaders back to where they came from. Wouldn’t you agree?

This war is expanding, UN can't do much to stop it:

On the surface, Russia is encroaching into Ukraine.

Under the surface, it is challenging US-NATO global dominance & testing their military might.

Putin seems to have an upper hand in the war now, but his dream of a new superpower USSR may not be realized ultimately..

There is NOTHING to stop the Ukrainian fighters from letting the civilians out. But the fighters, like everywhere else in Ukraine, need human shields.

Russia has offered this for weeks, Zelenski ordered them to stay. News reports suggest it was advise from US/UK.

Rodney - which news reports are suggesting this? Please share!

If you really want to know the truth, say in Mariupol, go look at the videos of WESTERN journalists and press who are on the ground there and now available to view on Youtube without deletion. Mariupol has been liberated with many citizens returning. It is now only up to getting the Ukraine solders, Azov Nazi militia to allow the trapped citizens who took refuge in the steel mill 2 months ago to leave safely.

So far they have ignored the Russian military plea to allow safe passage. One video has recorded the people in the steel plant who are all in good health. Problem is that the Azov Militia have threatened the Ukraine soldiers if they surrender or try to let the people out. This is why Putin has asked the UN to try and broker a deal. This way no one will be able to accuse him of any genocide. The problem is not so much the Ukraine army but the Azov Militia. Oh, I forgot, there are mercenary soldiers from various nations trapped in the steel mill. Russians detected various different languages spoken in there.

There are plenty of interviews with citizens in Mariupol ( and other towns ) where the say it is Azov who uses human shields and shoots the people who try to seek shelter. They despise Zelensky and say that the Azov are drunks and drugged up. Don't believe the lies from the west media. All the so called atrocities that the Russians are accused of have all been dis proven by witnesses, also the false photos which have been used as supposed evidence.

As I say again, the real truth is now shown on Youtube videos.

The Russians just attacked Kiev while the UN Secretary General was visiting with missiles impacting close to the UN delegation that was outdoors in central Kiev. That ought to tell everyone what Russia thinks of the UN. If history is any guide Russian troops will attack any civilians fleeing the war. They have done so many times during this war. Anything the UN negotiates with the Russians is worthless. The Russians will not honor it.

The UNs biggest funding is the US, it is headquartered in the US, and the US can deny visas to any diplomats it doesn’t like. These are facts.

If the US did that then the UN would re-locate its headquarters to another nation. Simple as that. It would be a huge diplomatic loss for the US, so they will never do what you suggest. The US has much more to gain by allowing the diplomats of every nation's UN delegation to enter the US, even the delegations of nations like Iran with which the US has no diplomatic relations.

UN are always trying to broker some deal or other, what are they doing wrong that they have been unsuccessful, not only in Ukraine

I think Russia attacking central Kiev while the UN Secretary General was on the ground there and pretty close to where the missiles impacted tells you all you need to know about the likelihood of the UN negotiating anything with the Russians. That was a big Russian middle finger to the UN leadership.
