Finally a US administration that is willing to advocate against the CCP's political evils instead of smiling and passing the buck on through tariffs to the US consumer

AKA: A piece missing capitulation, and this is the reason why the Chinese are happy that Biden is president, now I’m trying to get what they want. For the time being I was looking forward to seeing Walmart put back on their trucks “Made in America” but that’s not going to happen now.

Pots and kettles. You know the rest of the saying.

Oh to be a fly on the wall at that meeting. The problem for the United States is that China is too big to be dictated to, too strong be to dealt with by military means, and too important economically to be ignored. The US is in a quandary.

US businesses have allowed the economic quandary you mentioned. They sought cheap labor and freedom to pollute so that they could have lower costs and higher profits. It was a bad bargain. China has never really opened its economy as it promised.

I am not as worried about the military quandary right now. Their navy is getting larger and more professional, but it is still not good enough to compete with the U.S. Navy.

Anchored down in anchorage. Probably the most popular song about Alaska.

China must have really wanted to talk if they came to Anchorage.

The U.S. sent them a message, enjoy Anchorage. Probably still a nicer place than they are used to.

You can see Russia from Alaska if you squint hard enough....

To understand modern China is to understand the socialist doctrine of production. All her efforts are directed at accessing raw materials and producing tangible goods. That is it in a nutshell. The tortoise and hare are in a production race and the tortoise is well ahead.

Good to see they are saying what they really think. About time. Being in Anchorage, in March, is NOT on my list of places+times to be. If they wanted more privacy, Fairbanks would have been colder.

Ever wondered why USA blocks Chinese and Russian new outlets?

Uh ... they don't. Russia blocked rt.com from the world last week - by mistake.

China blocks ... well ... ever heard of the "The Great Firewall?"

With a PC, I don't know of any Chinese real news site that is blocked. Alas, I can't read Mandarin, so there is little reason to visit those sites. From time to time I do read the English pages. The slanted "news" is very clearly CCP-approved ... as are all social network posts in China and on what's that video/chat app for phones? Doesn't matter - it is censored to CCP standards too.

If you want news without an American slant, in English, there are a number of excellent news organizations in the world. Reading what NYT and BBC and Al Jazeera write on the same issues, is eye opening.

Totally engineered propaganda for Time Warner, Disney, News Corp, Comcast, ViaCom and CBS.
