U.S. President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday vowed a relentless effort to fight COVID-19

Who knows what Biden will do, but it would be nice to think the US president would take the virus seriously.

Trump has long shown he cares nada for the country. He's totally bungled the pandemic. Now his highest priority is continuing to convince his far right followers in the US and 'abroad' to send him more money to put in his bank accounts.

Well, there really won’t be much that he can’t do other than what Trump is doing now or what Fauci will say and do. Trump has done his best for the Nation and was hailed by Fauci himself for locking down the country earlier, getting those generators built, accelerated the productions of masks and now operation warp speed was a huge achievement done in less than a year. The Democrats leaders have cost States like NYC and California billions with their draconian laws while they mocked the people and defied the very laws they demanded the people follow, they’ve done irrecoverable and irreparable damage to their States, so much so that millions are fleeing to conservative states.

Ooh oooh you forgot Cuomo and the nursing homes. That’s always a hit.

"Vice President-elect Kamala Harris received a COVID-19 vaccination live on television in a bid to boost confidence in the inoculation even while warning it will be months before it is available to all."

In others words, the pols get the shot before the nurses and the firemen, America at its best.

Ooh oooh you forgot Cuomo and the nursing homes. That’s always a hit.

Imagine being so filled w hatred that you make light of thousands of elderly deaths at the direction of Cuomo.

Two thirds of voters thinks Trump dealing with the pandemic is the worse of his actions during his term.

or maybe you need to expand your very narrow news sources.

The truth is ordinary Americans are looking at the odds and making decisions based on those odds.

99.9%+ recovery rate for a virus vs. a vaccine that has at best a 95% chance of being free of side effects.

All polls I’ve seen show an unfavorable rating on his response to Covid. He actually did well in the early stages of the pandemic according to the public, but then his ratings went right down the toilet.

I’m guessing that telling people the virus would miraculously disappear, the US had turned the corner and talking about injecting disinfectant didn’t help.

This undoubtedly contributed to Sleepy Joe giving him a hiding in the election.

I couldn’t possibly imagine that. But you did it for me.

But I see you’re still downplaying the virus. Imagine that...

Quoting a right-leaning RAG like the Post? I read it every day and quite a bit of what they print is laughable and borders upon the absurd. Too bad DT wasn't admired enough to get reelected or come close to winning the popular vote even once, huh? Live in reality.

Trump has done his best for the Nation

No. That’s just what you like to call an ‘opinion.’ It’s definitely not a fact.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

99.9% recovery rate is wrong.

Since you seem concerned about side effects you might want to look into the long term side affects of the virus after ‘recovery’

You won’t find the information in NY Post though, maybe expand your reading material a little.

The Biden team has emphasized the importance of encouraging vaccine distribution and inoculation in non-white groups especially hard hit by the coronavirus.

Leave it up to the Dems to turn a pandemic into an opportunity to get bad old whitey. It’s sickening to use an national emergency into an excuse for more bigotry.

The 99.9.% vs vaccine % was a meme that circulated on MSM and has been fact checked and debunked numerous times over the past month.

Where did you see it? Friend send a link on Facebook?

Trump later said he was being sarcastic but only an absolute moron would have been so reckless.

Oh! So now he was being dangerously sarcastic!

From Politifact;

Trump meant something very different — that doctors could investigate whether using sunlight or disinfectants could clear the virus in patients.

Oh! well even THATS crazy, isn't it?!

hmm lets see, lets see....10% of 7.65 billion is 765,500,000 give or take......

stats (incredibly inflated but thats for another time and place) say 1.7 million around the world have died from corona

hmmm. Im not so good at math, Bob. Whats that come out to?

The first known U.S. case of a highly infectious coronavirus variant was detected in Colorado on Tuesday

I wonder if Trump and his mob will be asking for reparations from the UK and signing off their posts with, "Thanks, Britain!"

Not biting bob. If you want to compare apples and oranges knock yourself out.

Doubt I could persuade you when you relish in arguing with VirusRex who knows far more about these things than either of us.

Trump later said he was being sarcastic but only an absolute moron would have been so reckless.

Oh! So now he was being dangerously sarcastic!

He said he was being sarcastic. There was clean up operation after his rancid brain fart which tried to cover it up, but it contradicted what Trump himself said about being sarcastic.

When you are dealing with an issue like this, you need to make the messaging clear. There are unintelligent people out there who won’t pick up on the sarcasm. Just look at how many unintelligent people believed the trash right media on the idea that the election result was going to be overturned.

One pitiable poster here told us that the walls were closing in on Biden. It’s sad but they do walk among us and need our support and sympathy. That’s why I believe in a minimum wage and support for the unemployable. We can’t help the cards we were dealt at birth.

Remember what George Carlin said about intelligence - think how intelligent the average person is, and then realize half of the people are less intelligent than that.

You have to speak at the level of the slowest kid in the class here.

Leave it to a conservatives do to make everything about race and then blame the democrats instead of science and necessity.

It’s science to discriminate based on race? Spoken like a true Progressive.

Yeah! Coloreds should get to the back of the line where they belong.

The WHO also said in the same press release:

The global death toll of over 1 million fatalities is also an undercount, according to WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

"Today, almost 35 million cases of [COVID-19] have now been reported to WHO, and more than 1 million people are reported to have lost their lives. The real number is certainly higher," he said from Geneva. "Numbers can blind us to the reality that every single life lost is someone who loved and was loved by others."
