....just 2 weeks after the BLM riots started. Did they forget to tell the virus to take a break?
BigYen
Oh, only those people? That's all right then! Thanks for putting things into perspective for us!

Amen, bro! Remember when Obama totally screwed up his response to the Ebola epidemic and his incompetence led to millions of Americans being infected, hundreds of thousands killed and the economy destroyed?
And now Trump has came along and so masterfully handled COVID 19 that only 11 people were infected of which only 2 died. Just to show Obama how it is done.
At least, I think that's how it went, I might be getting their roles reversed.
TheLongTermer
You also said all that before the peaceful riots. Yes, there has been a set back due to the demonstrations. Can a honest discussion be had? Id like to know those stats. and any correlation of the riots and the COVID spikes, its effect on national debt and other missing information
lincolnman
Mr President, the pandemic is getting worse - it's not "under control", it's not "one person from China"; it is now a larger threat than it was three months ago. Over 2 million Americans are infected and over 120K have died. You need to lead - you need to marshal the forces of government and get the virus under control. You need to rise to the moment. Going to campaign rallies and saying "I told them to slow down testing" is not leading - it's sabotaging any chance we have to defeat the virus.
Do something Mr President - don't let this prediction come true...
The operative words being "lifting its shutdowns early on"...and are now paying the price...
What's your plan Mr President?

There are 40 million claiming unemployment and 40 million who can't afford healthcare. There are many tens of millions who can’t afford the water charges which have increased by 80%. Millions in the food bank lines with people desperate to feed their kids.
30 million tests to date, 10% infection rate.
stormcrow
This winter’s going to be worse. It’s also quite selfish of young Americans to go out and party it up with no concern for themselves or others.
Kniknaknokkaer
More U.S citizens are getting sick and seeking medical help SO more people require a test to establish what their sickness is. That absolutely does not mean Trump's doing great at randomly testing and detecting covid cases, what it actually means is that the U.S authorities and citizens are doing a pretty awful job of containing the spread.
You have to be a pretty special case to see that as a positive.
lincolnman
You don't care what President Trump said, obviously, since you disagree with it - please share with is other examples of what you "don't care" he said...
When the President you support said he was directing it be stopped....OK...
What else is Trump decreasing or stopping that you think he should be increasing?
kwatt
The state of emergency should be on for several years. It can't be lifted until 100 corona cases per day.
Graham DeShazo
This is what happens when cultists fool the gullible into electing an incompetent moron.
ulysses
Tucker and Hannity sure are clown shows, with a dash of bigotry thrown in.
And then there is Pirro, comes with sides of stupidity and ignorance !!!

The riots in Arizona?
TheLongTermer
So what do you want Trump to do? He gave out checks, defense act to go crazy making ventilators, mask delivered to all these crying Dem governors. Then there was a new fever; nutso fever and lock down guidelines were ignored. So you want the guidelines back in place AND blame Trump? You want the police back, AND defund them?
Also, is nutso fever is dying out or......I cant keep up! Any COVID updates from the CHOP and other autonomous zones?
Jimizo
Even the UK which is led by a second rate circus act is now doing a better job than the US on COVID-19.
Jimizo
Don’t worry about it. According to Trump and MAGA posters here, somewhere between zero and very few people watch it anyway. It’s influence is minimal.
I don’t know why Trump supporters get so flustered about it. I have images of squealing women standing on a stool because a mouse a running around.
Either CNN is influenced or not. Make your minds up.
Mr. Noidall
It's clear from the surge in numbers that testing has increased. It's starting to seem like you want the number of cases to be astronomical just so you can blame Trump. It's your right to not like Trump. But I think your extreme hatred for the man is clouding your ability to think objectively and empirically. I can dislike someone and still recognize if they've done something good. And likewise, I can like someone and recognize if they've done something bad. Hence, my ability to recognize what Trump said was distasteful; but the fact remains that testing has increased. You seem to not be able to get around your hate for Trump.
TheLongTermer
Interesting. I guess it depends on the cause and stress level. I saw lots of stressed out people barely 2 weeks ago...getting their loot and burn on. Angered by that...or that doesnt count?
Well there is allot of things on record, lincolnman. During the darkest hour of the peaceful riots, some Dem leaders and elites were posting "defund the police" "burn it all down" and "combating white supremecy takes priority over the COVID"
Still waiting on those stats and COVID infection rates due to the peaceful riots. For some reason, MSM hasnt mentioned them. Full circle blame to "Trump doesnt wear a mask"
Do you think it might be that nutso fever is the cure and they are still studying that?
Blacklabel
I said I don’t care who said what
only care the result. Which is that testing is increasing.
lincolnman
Come on - both of you are Trump supporters - and your President just said this at his rally;
"I said to my people, 'Slow the testing down please,'
And when asked if he was joking said;
"I don't kid, let me just tell you, let me make it clear,"
But you both say testing is increasing...opposite to what Trump is saying...
So you both don't believe your own President...
Just wanted to get that on the record...
expat
This is Trump's legacy. Needless death of thousands of US citizens due to his self-serving hubris, lies and inaction. If there is a hell, there will be a special room in it for him.
Mr. Noidall
No no and no.
Trump is still a great president. A 1000 times better than the previous one, and I still support him over Biden. Sorry, you haven't convinced me.
Blacklabel
Because you know Fauci would have loved to say that the meanie Trump was lying and that testing is not increasing and he is killing everyone due to his inaction!
But even Fauci grudgingly agreed that testing is increasing, so it obviously is. and this is a good thing. Thanks Trump!
lincolnman
So why did Trump say he had directed testing to stop?
Blacklabel
does it matter? the result is that testing is increasing, and Fauci confirmed it.
lincolnman
OK, so you say Trump was wrong when he said he had directed testing to stop.
Good - now we have two Trump supporters that say Trump was lying....
Progress!
Blacklabel
I would say testing is increasing, due to the increase in the number of cases.
Fauci agrees and testified such to Congress.
Mr. Noidall
Well since we have a record number of cases I'd say testing is increasing.
lincolnman
OK, Trump has directed testing to stop....but not everyone here agrees with you;
So, tell us, is Trump decreasing or increasing testing?
Clayton K. Char
Hospitalizations and deaths are what counts not cases. If COVID-19 is compared to the common flu, there are always deaths from the common flu during the flu season. These deaths occur despite the fact that we have vaccines!
Do we really think that a COVID-19 vaccine will prevent deaths? It's wishful thinking.
Testing for COVID-19 is like taking a photo. It's good for the moment it's taken. However, you can get infected a second later if you come into contact with someone who is infected and infectious.
A recent study has revealed that asymptomatic people who have COVID-19 are not infectious. This remains to be seen.
Bottom line. Yes, COVID-19 is highly a highly infectious virus. However, most people who are infected will recover from the infection. Only the elderly, people with pre-existing conditions, and possibly people with type A blood will die.
carpslidy
America had 300 times the number of cases to Japan yesterday.
100 times more based on population
How can america still be 100 times worse than japan at this stage?
Mr. Noidall
No, I agree with you that what Trump said at the rally was astonishing. Specifically, when he said he told his people to stop testing. But I wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment that Trump is on par with Stalin or Idi Amin. That's highly irresponsible at best to make that claim.
lincolnman
Within 14 days, not at 14 days...you need to listen to Dr Fauci more....
Thanks for agreeing with me on the Red States...
Mr. Noidall
You can't blame the Trump rallies yet. They were just the last couple of days. Most likely the uptick is because of the protests.
Leo
Back to the drawing board. We will have to wait for a vaccine or a cure.
Mr. Noidall
It seems some people don't like the fact that it's been about 14 days since the protests ended; and now we have an uptick in coronavirus. Is the truth offensive? Should we ignore it? Is okay to blame everything on Trump?
doggar
Well reckless, I know of a person who died.
doggar
USA! number one as usual! Thanks trumpf!
Blacklabel
The death rate is significantly down from before, even if the number of cases are up due to the riots.
Reckless
My family lives in Florida. Things were locked down but now getting back to normal. When I speak to them they do not know anyone who has coronavirus or know of anyone who has died from it.
Kniknaknokkaer
Blimey with how this is going in America it will soon be called the Yankee-fludle
Goodlucktoyou
The saddest thing is that the Biden crew are the same.
Goodlucktoyou
Tusla, MAGA.
how many infections?
but luckily everyone has to sign legal waivers, no problem.

The pandemic apocalypse is now riding through the resurgent south carrying off "the faithful" on the caboose. So sad to see all those misguided young people packed like sardines eager to listen to the (best) words of their "leader" while oblivious to the stealthy, super-spreading virus of Trump's ignorance.
lincolnman
Get real - he barely filled a third of the arena, and had to cancel his outside portion because just 25 people showed up... Emptyville....and then the "Walk of Shame"...some optic, huh?
I guess you need reminded that Bolton is your Great Conservative Icon - he's on your team - to Team Blue he's just a far-right war-monger that kept detailed notes...
And we made progress yesterday, we were able to get one Trump supporter here to admit Trump was a LIAR when he said he was decreasing testing, and also admit that Fox News was part of the Liberal MSM...
We're making progress....
ulysses
If we listen to dear leader trump, we should do away with hospitals.
Then there will be no disease!!!
Serrano
No, he's doing the "Walk of Shame" after hosting a failed rally in "Emptyville"....
Despite the pandemic and fears of violence by leftist groups, he drew a pretty good crowd, way bigger than any Biden is ever going to draw.
He proves Bolton's assessment every day that he is "Unfit for office"...
Gotta love how you guys love the hated Bolton now that he's broken with the president over his firing because he wasn't allowed to bomb Iran.
lincolnman
What an absolute disaster - is Trump trying to pass Stalin and Idi Amin in the "how many people can you kill" championship? Maybe he considers that winning...
There's a major pandemic savaging America - instead of Where's Wally, let's play the game "Where's Trump"?
Is he in his bunker hiding from two elderly protesters?
Is he in an indoor arena without a mask with hundreds of other with no masks in the city and state experiencing hits highest COVID infection rates ever?
No, he's doing the "Walk of Shame" after hosting a failed rally in "Emptyville"....
He proves Bolton's assessment every day that he is "Unfit for office"...
sunfunbun
Trump needs to quit insulting us Asians by saying 'kung flu', as he said it again, today. He's a racist and keeps showing it, whenever he speaks.
The Avenger
If it weren’t for that pesky testing, we’d have NO cases!!
The incubation period for the novel coronavirus is between 2 and 14 days. It then it takes another 2-3 weeks for a person to become ill enough to die. So the lag from infection to death is about 3-5 weeks, meaning that the death toll in 5 weeks is going to be much, much higher than what we're seeing now.
Kentarogaijin
Keep going Don, as you said, the virus is defeated !!.. loool !!..
Kentarogaijin
What can you expect from the Trumpys not wearing masks and his marches defying the orders of the governors to be at home, also challenging common sense and science, in addition to taking out their assault rifles as good pseudo-christian hillbillies ??..
sunfunbun
Trump is still denying COVID-19 threats. He said, today, the virus is going away. That is an obviously egregious statement. That's not the media, that's him....words from his own mouth.
ANY gathering of people will cause the virus to spread, a massive protest or a 6200 person...hoping for a 1,000,000 person....rally. The protest was necessitated by racism. The comparatively small rally was a gathering of racist type white people, mainly, if not exclusively.
The disingenuous are those who deny masking, ignore distancing and are blind that opening up the country does not increase the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, taking the advice of an insane Trump.
Justin Person
Plenty of rioters and protesters not wearing masks over the past month. Doubt they were Trump supporters. Not much talk about the protests being a major contributor to the recent spike in cases because it doesn't fit the political narrative. Thousands of new cases from restaurants and private parties, not from the tens of thousands of closely-gathered protests screaming their vapors everywhere? Media is all about the science, except when... Really disingenuous.
egads man!
I am so shocked. How did a resurgence happen? Everyone was being 110% careful and following guidelines...
HAHAHAHA If only I could use an eyeroll emoji right now.
BigYen
All entirely predictable, and I'm sure was predicted by the health experts whose advice Donald Trump & Co. have been so keen to disregard for political reasons ever since this epidemic started.
Too many Americans are finding out the hard way that they may be tired of the coronavirus, but the coronavirus isn't tired of them.
Ah_so
It is strange how politicized this pandemic has beome in the USA. But when political grandstanding meets biology, biology wins, no matter how much you try to wish it away.
Those who refuse to wear masks as some kind of loyalty symbol to Trump are doing nothing more than helping to spread death.
yamada1043
Florida Governor DeSantis, during the election, was considered a clone of the current occupant of the White House.
They are both unfit in their roles in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C., and have mishand- led the pandemic due their lack of understanding of the science behind the spread of the virus and their blind interest in politics.
Michael Machida
What do you expect when you protest in groups and go to A Donald Trump Rally?
Garthgoyle
Memorial Day weekend parties with store owners banning anyone from wearing masks at their stores. Groups protesting their "so unfair" lockdowns and "unjustified" requirements to wear masks "my body, my choice." Followed by their "right" to protest for BLM and their "right" to vandalize, loot and riot all across the country. Hope it was all worth it, 'murica.
Bugle Boy of Company B
He’s the latest Florida Man.

The messages re wearing masks have been out a long time. Shame that Trump etal have set such poor examples and turned it into a political issue.
Share prices are one indication of the economy. Those prices primarily affect Wall Street.
A more important indication is what's happening financially to Main Street. For example the number of people sickened by the virus with no healthcare, the number of Americans sickened by the virus who have healthcare but are unable to pay for its high costs, the number of people paying for funerals of family members killed by the virus (120,000+), the number of Americans out of work with few prospects for finding work any time soon, the number of people losing homes and cars because they can't make payments, the number of people unable to buy food and need to rely on a foodbank.
Mirai Hayashi
This is what happens when people don't listen to the experts and take the word of incompetent government officials instead! The Florida governor needs to resign...he's been nothing but a disaster!
