Hilarious that Donny's whining because Iranis acting as a soveirgn nation. Iran wasn't enriching uranium past the limits after the successful negotiator Obama got most interested parties to sign into a deal that limited Iran's capacity to enrich uranium.

Donny sure is ineffective on Iran. Add it to the list of his ineffectiveness: Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, the DPRK.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

The accord requires Iran to curb its uranium enrichment capacity, capping Iran’s stock of low-enriched uranium at 300 kg of uranium hexafluoride enriched to 3.67 percent or its equivalent for 15 years. That is far below the 90 percent needed for weapons grade uranium and also below the 20 percent level to which Iran enriched uranium before the deal.

Good job, Obama.

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Monday: "We have quadrupled the rate of enrichment (of uranium) and even increased it more recently, so that in 10 days it will bypass the 300 kg limit."

Good job, Trump.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

Donny

Your preoccupation with Trump is clouding your judgement.

So here's AK, quoted in his own words as saying Iran has quadruppled uranium enrichment. Whilst not so long ago he was saying Iran will keep its side of the deal and urges other signatory to lobby USA to come back to the table.

Completely contradictory statements and you focussed on Trump?

-19 ( +2 / -21 )

Your preoccupation with Trump is clouding your judgement.

You complete misunderstand my posts. There is zero reason to focus on the substance of anything given Trumpophiles aren't interested in facts and other people on here don't need convincing.

So here's AK, quoted in his own words as saying Iran has quadruppled uranium enrichment. Whilst not so long ago he was saying Iran will keep its side of the deal and urges other signatory to lobby USA to come back to the table.

Completely contradictory statements and you focussed on Trump?

Uhh, yes, because it's Donny who pushed Iran to this point by withdrawing from the nuclear deal and then trying to strangle the Iranian economy. Keep in mind that Donny didn't do this for any principled reason, but simply to undo what Obama did.

13 ( +17 / -4 )

Uhh, yes, because it's Donny

there you go again, I haven't disputed who caused what, I merely pointed out that the lying, contradictory AK is equally untrustworthy. To have unclouded judgement, you have to see everything.

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

You're saying that "AK" is untrustworthy because he reacted to Donny. Did you expect Iran to sit on its hands as Donny continued to isolate it and choke its economy because Donny has an Obama-complex? Let's do discuss this clouded judgment issue.

The cajones. Simply speechless

The cajones. Simply speechless

GoTrumpers should be speechless (i.e. silent), especially those who cheered Trump ripping up the sensible agreement between Iran and the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, China and Germany.

Now the world's at even greater risk because of Trump's ineptness.

And his and his backer's support for their oil and gas industries.

And his and his backer's opposition to alternatives to burning so much oil, gas and coal.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Your preoccupation with Trump is clouding your judgement.

No, it's Trump's preocupation and revenge with Obama since Obama roasted Trump in 2011 at the WH.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

I'm not surprised by American hypocrisy anymore.

17 ( +19 / -2 )

The drums of war are beating. Just what the region needs, the US destabilising it even further.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

So how do you know Iran wasn’t already exceeding the cap? They obviously had the capability to do it because they are doing it now.

Amazing that liberals will signal support for Iran just to be anti-Trump.

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

Hilarious that Donny's whining because Iranis acting as a soveirgn nation.

I find it hilarious that liberals think that Iran who was caught on video indisputable and irrefutable of them removing unexploded mines from the tankers is allowed to do what it is doing now and think that act won’t be challenged.

Iran wasn't enriching uranium past the limits after the successful negotiator Obama got most interested parties to sign into a deal that limited Iran's capacity to enrich uranium.

Not true. 4 reasons why the Obama Iran deal was a disaster from the beginning.

Here are the four most dangerous problems with the deal:

The whole neighborhood will race to go nuclear. This deal most likely will accelerate nuclear proliferation. Because if regional powers feel threatened by the possibility of Iran getting a weapon and the penalty for producing nuclear weapons decreases, then why wouldn’t they?

(That would be Saudi Arabia)

**Tehran gets to keep its vast nuclear infrastructure and its missile program.**  And the promises from Iran only confirm the obvious: that the regime definitely has nuclear-weapons ambitions. After all, why have a massive ballistic-missile program and secret military nuclear facilities if the plan isn’t to build nuclear weapons?

Sanctions relief will make the region far less safe. The sanctions relief and the renewed ability to sell more oil on the open market could wind up bringing $300-400 billion into the Iranian economy, bolstering the Iranian government. Essentially, this means the deal will pay for undermining U.S. policy and interests throughout the region.

The deal is temporary, by design. Even the White House doesn’t claim it will permanently keep Iran from getting a bomb. So, what’s the point?

(Obama never could in anyway prove it could or would)

Donny sure is ineffective on Iran. Add it to the list of his ineffectiveness: Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, the DPRK.

Yeah, that’s the latest liberal echo chamber talking points.

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

We always knew Trump's actions would create war and imbalance in the world... And here we are.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Amazing that liberals will signal support for Iran just to be anti-Trump.

You'd have to ask a liberal about that.

At this stage, Iran has more credibility than the Trump administration.

But both regimes need to be abolished by the respective peoples of the countries involved.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Yeah, that’s the latest liberal echo chamber talking points.

And your post is quoting which article, btw? Bit disingenuous passing it off as your own work, no?

We always knew Trump's actions would create war and imbalance in the world... And here we are

That is no war, calm down.

At this stage, Iran has more credibility than the Trump administration.

That’s your opinion, but the video and the physical evidence says otherwise.

But both regimes need to be abolished by the respective peoples of the countries involved.

Ok and now back to our reality.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

No, not at all, as I have posted it so many times, but I’ll gladly post it again.

The Iran nuclear deal wasn't an Obama deal. It was made by the UN and signed by the EU/Russia/China/America.

But still Obama was the President who put his John Hancock on the deal and Trump took us thankfully out of it. Thank God!

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

@Toasted Heretic

The drums of war are beating. Just what the region needs, the US destabilising it even further.

How dare the US! That’s Iran’s job and they’ve been doing it very well for years in Lebanon and Syria.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

The Iran nuclear deal wasn't an Obama deal

No, never say facts to Trump people. Sorry (Trump people) Yes, it was a 100% Obama deal and Trump said he could do better (like he does with his Casino investors). Obama was the only one who negitiated the Iran deal and no other country was part of it.

Obama made a fool out of Trump in 2011 with the Lion King joke, so Trump wants revenge. We have this situation in Iran (getting worse). Also, 10,000 dollar healthcare deductables (getting worse). Also, more and more migrants are running over Trump and invading the US (getting worse). Also the US debt (getting worse). No wall. This is happening under Trump's watch.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Im really not sure how the video is evidence that it was Iran. Well I guess we only have to deal with this for another year and a half.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

People seriously cant believe that video...

If Trump says its true, it must be. Right?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Pretty simple. Trump scrapped the nuclear agreement to please Saudi Arabia and Israel. Let's let the Saudis and the Israelis fight their own battles, and fix what needs fixing here at home. Like health care and infrastructure, among other things.

This week his wife became a convicted criminal for fraud and he remains under his own crminal investigation.

But Trump says they are good people, so they must be. Not criminals, Right? Just like he said the Iranians planted a mine, so they must have, right?

I'm sure the next thing will be, if you are against Netanyahu, its antisemitism. Unfortunately for Trump, this is not true.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

"Just remember, what you are seeing and what you are reading is not what's happening." Donald Trump

Pass me some more that Republican koolaid. I need to kill off some more brain cells so I'm incapable of making any sense of this.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

It's remarkably Orwellian, isn't it?

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Like Iraq, the PNAC crowd will push and push for this confrontation. Truth is the first casualty of war.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

America want to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero. I can understand why Iran feel this is the only way they can bargain with an increasing hostile US. Yet some things don't stack up. A lot of groups in Iran must have been involved to get permission for this attack to go ahead, including the Ayatollah himself - yet it seems amateurish. Why wear bright orange life jackets if this is a covert mission? It seems too convenient that the mine didn't go off - and why remove it if you want to make a point? Why target Japanese and Norweigan ships? I am not usually a skeptic but this just doesn't add up. Is there another group that would benefit from turmoil in the Middle East....?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

But Trump says they are good people, so they must be. Not criminals, Right? Just like he said the Iranians planted a mine, so they must have, right?

The video doesn’t lie.

Yes, because anyone in all black clothing is Iranian. Great logic bass.

blacklabel: So how do you know Iran wasn’t already exceeding the cap? They obviously had the capability to do it because they are doing it now.

Because they have inspections that they must submit to. If you read about them you'll see that anything involving radioactive material isn't something you can just sweep under the carpet. It tends to stick around, and they can tell a lot by the levels they pick up during the inspections. So far, every country that is involved in the deal says Iran has been compliant.

That should answer your question.

Really the only thing that's changed is Iran will go back to enriching to higher levels. That was Trump's contribution to the situation. That and driving a wedge between us and our allies. Not very good material to cheer about if you ask me.

That should answer your question.

Yes, liberals are as ever gullible.

Really the only thing that's changed is Iran will go back to enriching to higher levels.

The deal enriches and emboldens Iran — an unstable and unprincipled nation. And it destabilizes the region even further and its puts its neighbors — our allies — at risk. It is a bad deal. While the Obama administration insists that there were only two choices — the deal or war — the choices were neither that limited, nor that simple. As Carafano concludes, “This deal is not the antidote to war. Rather, it makes increased conflict all the more likely.”

To stop them and to stop Iran, he should.

Not very good material to cheer about if you ask me.

We shall see, but I and a lot of people in the country feel much better about it.

Such a shame that DT - who started off as an avowed isolationist - has succumbed to the siren song of military intervention and sabre rattling to shore up his waning popularity.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Amazing that liberals will signal support for Iran just to be anti-Trump.

Many liberals have supported Iranian sovereignty since the Shah ruled the country. A puppet installed by the US government who ruled for 26 horrid years. The 1953 coup carried out by the CIA removed a democratically elected leader who planned to nationalize the Iranian oil industry, so their own people could benefit from its sale. Imagine how differently the history in that part of the world would have played out if the Brits and then the Yanks hadn't meddled in Iranian affairs, all to maintain favorable conditions for their oil companies to operate (i.e. extracting not only the oil but the overwhelming bulk of the profits). The same story has played out across Latin America and Africa for decades.

Are the ayatollahs scum of the earth, sure, but they were a direct reaction to autocrats operating for years on our instructions. And they have every right to conduct their affairs as they wish. As ever, Americans should mind their own business.

Trump is calling FOX 'Fake News' now. Too funny.

So the whole pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal thing worked out really good, huh?

Another brilliant move by the Stable Genius.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

bass: I’ll take the word of the Pentagon and intelligence over what the Iranians or the media says.

OK. The US certified Iran's compliance in 2017 and 2018. In fact, there is nothing on record from the US saying Iran was out of compliance at any time.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Promotions come with glacial slowness in the peacetime military. Heady competition among the West Pointers to become a multistar general -- or admiral, since we must inevitably include Annapolis -- with a prestigious command of a Corps or region is a prime reason why the U.S. finds itself in a state of constant war.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

At the end of the day, it's not about what the truth is because most spectators won't be able to find out. It's really about fanfare and certainly Trump's haters only buy narratives that make him look bad. When M17 was shot down, Obama accused the Russians immediately without proof. His fans bought it or rather they allowed possible false flag. People aren't interested in the truth.

The rest of the world including the USA should pull out of that area and let them settle their differences. The USA does not need middle eastern oil so let's allow the forces to take their natural courses.

@returninggrace People aren't interested in the truth.

Is the above quote aimed at the intellectually limited portion of the population that Qanon, Bannon-Breitbart, the Internet Research Agency (and other Moscow backed organizations), among others are trying to reach in their ongoing attempts to undermine democracies? No wonder those organizations use the NRA, KKK and other whack groups to spread lies.

Donny sure is ineffective on Iran

Au contraire! Iran's economy sucks, due mostly to U.S. sanctions. So much for the ineffective argument.

So the whole pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal thing worked out really good, huh? Another brilliant move by the Stable Genius.

You must be unaware that the Iran nuclear deal thing does not confirm the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and provides a clear pathway to nuclear weapons. Oh my...

https://www.unitedagainstnucleariran.com/whats-wrong-with-iran-nuclear-deal

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Iran said on Monday it would soon breach limits on how much enriched uranium it can stockpile under the deal, which a White House National Security Council spokesman said amounted to "nuclear blackmail."

The 2015 accord, which Iran and the other signatories have maintained following Trump's decision, caps Iran's stock of low-enriched uranium at 300 kg enriched to 3.67 percent.

But Iran's Atomic Energy Organization spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Monday: "We have quadrupled the rate of enrichment (of uranium) and even increased it more recently, so that in 10 days it will bypass the 300 kg limit."

"Iran's reserves are every day increasing at a more rapid rate," he told state TV, adding that "the move will be reversed once other parties fulfil their commitments."

How have the other signatories maintained it ?

Donny pulled the USA out of the deal and threatened any country or company that deals with Iran, punitive punishment.

Iran was going with the deal, but the other signatories are doing nothing but sitting by as Iran economy is hit by USA sanctions

The companies from the other signatories countries have cancelled or unable to do deals with Iran due to Trumps threats.

Unless the other signatories stop being bullied by Trump and do what they agreed to in the deal, Trump will win and peace in the middle east will move further towards a possible war.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Now it is the time to be human not evil.

Any war now just to earn money. so,

No war

The rogue state of the USA are at it again.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

A bully must continue bullying to maintain its position, to maintain the pecking order and this is exactly what the US war machine is doing. The whole world knows this is a repeat of the Iraq WMD ploy. Again, the question is: what are we, the people, going to do about it. Isn't time we took a copy from the HK protesters and started protesting to our respective governments? People power DOES work, we just have to start to exert our power. We need to let our politicians know that we object, that we will not support another war to support US domination and we need to do this now before its too late. We need to send a clear message to our government and to the US that the days of US dictatorship are over.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Serrano: You must be unaware that the Iran nuclear deal thing does not confirm the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and provides a clear pathway to nuclear weapons.

Their enrichment was severely restricted to stop weapons grade development. Trump came along and stopped all of that, and now they are going to enrich again.

Is that your victory?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I just don't see the victory of tearing up the deal and watching Iran enrich again. Now we have to....stop them...again?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Serrano: You must be unaware that the Iran nuclear deal thing does not confirm the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and provides a clear pathway to nuclear weapons.

No, it clearly didn't.

You can't just say stuff and have it be true.

Or rather, you can't just say stuff and have the masses believe it to be true outside of the bubble.

Right, that's what I suggested earlier but got -3 from some peeps.

A month ago the White House were talking about 120,000, but Iran laughed at that figure. I even think Trump said something like if we're gonna do it it'd have to be 250,000, but I can't find the quote now. A month is an eternity nowadays. :sigh:

You do realize how many Iranian sites are off limits to UN inspections, and you are aware of the documentation of systematic Iranian cheating documented by the Iran Nuclear Archive, do you? But I guess such information does not make it into the world of CNN et al.

Ah, it's in the same article:

Trump denied the report (re 120,000) on Tuesday, dismissing it as "fake news." "Now would I do that? Absolutely. But we have not planned for that," he told reporters at the White House. "Hopefully, we're not going to have to plan for that, and if we did that, we'd send a hell of a lot more troops than that."

the sensible agreement between Iran and the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, China and Germany.

The sensible agreement which allows Iran to eventually build a nuclear weapon and continue to cause mayhem all over the Middle East?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Take this right back to its roots and Iran wants to export their 'young' Shiite revolution throughout the Middle East. This would mean toppling more Sunni governments here and there, which often control large populations of Shiites under them. Everything else is built around this dynamic. Is it in anyone's interest to have either side win this power struggle outright?

There is no credibility left in your country

A 1,000 today, 10,000 tomorrow, next week 100,000 by next year, a million. Just LIKE North Vietnam. Exactly like Afghanistan, which was supposed to be a flipping cakewalk (“primitive society and all”—but 12 years later and TRILLIONS of dollars wasted, the Taliban still control 40 percent of the country). War. Does. Not. Work. Even look at the civil war, the south has come back through the GOP (joke upon jokes) and is showing off its nazism, KKKism and fascism!

War. Does. Not. Work.

Yes, it does, look at the first and Second World War., in Iraq, we got Saddam.

Even look at the civil war,

The Slaves were freed.

the south has come back through the GOP

No, sadly that would be the Democrats, they started the Klan, kept discrimination as a security blanket and still do. Go to Chicago, Baltimore, Los Angeles and San Francisco, St. Louis, the Democrats have not done anything to better the lives of Blacks. The only thing they’ve done was to keep them on massive entitlements and dependent on the government.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The Slaves were freed

Really? You DO realize that someone earning minimum wage, often with two jobs can not buy or rent an apartment and pay for food, gas, electricity, etc. etc? So...isn’t this another form of slavery? And the for profit prison system is just another form of outright slavery!

Iraq?! LOL? That place is a beacon of peace and stability? HOw many lives lost, how much sectarian violence did it cost to get ONE MAN?

Oh, bassy, your distain for these “entitlements” that keep people from begging in the streets so that you can throw nickels and dimes at them is pathetic, let’s talk about the entitlements and “subsidies” to the oil and gas “trusts” which DWARFS food stamp outlays, and the fact that the top ten “trusts” like Amazon anf GE pat ZERO taxes. Where is your outrage? uh?

Those part time jobs are designed to be temporary, not a career job.

So...isn’t this another form of slavery?

No, slavery was FREE labor all the way, you didn’t earn a dime or were allowed to own property and didn’t have the free will to quit and leave the job or better yourself to make yourself more marketable.

And the for profit prison system is just another form of outright slavery!

Bad people and convicted criminals should be on the street now?

Iraq?! LOL? That place is a beacon of peace and stability? HOw many lives lost, how much sectarian violence did it cost to get ONE MAN?

That one man was worth it was a thorn in everyone’s side, the Kurds don’t miss him, the Shiites don’t miss him, Jordanians don’t miss him and neither do the Israelis.

Oh, bassy, your distain for these “entitlements” that keep people from begging in the streets so that you can throw nickels and dimes at them is pathetic,

That would be the liberals that hide behind their Malibu walls. They want to help them....so they say, but the6 don’t want them begging near them or be near their streets. Gavin Newsom is one of those double talking open doors people.

let’s talk about the entitlements and “subsidies” to the oil and gas “trusts” which DWARFS food stamp outlays, and the fact that the top ten “trusts” like Amazon anf GE pat ZERO taxes. Where is your outrage? uh?

Don't forget Apple as well. Seems like these liberals are enjoying the high life.
