Look, the current government does not know it’s arse from it’s elbow, but everyone in the UK knows that there is a risk when travelling abroad and that Covid rules can change at short notice. We have been told this time and time again yet the dur brains still insist on going on holiday and then cry when Covid rears it’s ugly head again. Stay at home if you are not prepared to quarantine when you return.

@Burning

You are not silly. Please don't contribute to non-scientific beliefs that getting vaccinated is not helping the general situation. It does.

There is no magical cure yet, like aids you know and many other illnesses.

September will be a test time indeed, to see if numbers of hospitalized patients and deaths. Crossing fingers against variants.

No one wishes a dire situation again.

Maybe japan was right only using

Pfizer and moderna

So people who are "fully vaccinated" can still catch Covid and spread it to others.

Most of the Covid vaccines are effective 80-95% of the time. No vaccine of any kind is 100% effective. Here is a table that shows the efficacy of all the different vaccines as of 4 June 2021.

So he has a cold, which is what we used to call it before the media hysteria started in 2020

Misrepresenting the professional opinion of the scientific community (that coincided in that COVID is not a cold) is deceiving, the media is just repeating what the experts have said, since people obviously have much less credibility than the best experts in the world they try to make it seem as if they have said nothing and all was just the media doing things by themselves.

That is of course completely false.

Vaccines protect from being heavily sick, or dying, but not from catching the covid though reducing the risks

The problem is that vaccinated people take off their guards, and in my opinion, are a vector of transmission. They will not know it without symptoms and believe they don’t have the covid as they were vaccinated

You have mild symptoms and you are not vaxxed: you are just lucky.

You have complications and you are not vaxxed: that's because you were not vaxxed.

You have mild symptoms and you are vaxxed: that's because you were vaxxed.

You have complications and you are vaxxed: you are just unlucky.

I bet he got meds that the general public does not have access to.

"Coronavirus cases have been rising for weeks in Britain, where more than 54,000 new infections were confirmed on Saturday, the highest daily total since January. Hospitalizations and deaths are also rising,"

but

"Despite the soaring cases, remaining restrictions are set to be lifted in England on Monday, "

?????

?????

That's correct: "only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun" (Noël Coward)

And who could be a better poster boy than Saj, the shiny new minister of health? He's even managed to put Boris Johnson into isolation, as a close contact, you know the guy who nearly killed himself boasting of going around shaking the hands of Covid patients in a hospital? These are the sociapaths in charge, so don't be surprised at their policies.

Time to lock everythung down again

Mr "Fixit", Saj, came in through the revolving door of chums to take over from the hapless Hancock, but there will never be a "Freedom Day" under this incompetent Tory shower whose deadly legacy of ineptitude will be memorialized by the nation's graves marking their "herd immunity".

@ us reamer. Fully agree. This incompetent businessman turned health secretary is obviously not using a mask in parliament (see photo) and probably during meetings. Yet another clown in Boris's government.

Both Johnson and Sunak, the Chancellor, have been ‘pinged’ by the track and trace app after being in contact with Javid. It was announced today that they will NOT be isolating, unlike the almost half a million people in England who have been obliged to do so. All animals are equal, only some are more equal than others.

UK health chief tests positive for virus

So he "test positive for the virus". So what? Is he actually sick? If not, what is the point of the article?

They've had to do a u-turn on that, apparently they will be self-isolating after all.

Due to the uproar. Shops, food processors, supermarkets, hospitals, transport etc are struggling to maintain services due to the number of staff being told to isolate after being ‘pinged’. Even the most rabid Tory backbencher saw that Johnson and Sunak were taking the piss.
