When the people won’t do the correct thing, as defined by scientists, the government has no choice but to step in.

So, forget democracy, you are saying? People must be ruled by scientists? Not to mention the WHO has been doing a U-turn, and finally recognizing that lockdowns hurt more than they help.

A government is supposed to represent the people, not a handful of scientists.

Some people seem to be begging for a technocracy.

Japan had low numbers even when mask weren't being used.

The who just came out and admitted lockdowns are more damaging than the virus. What is boris doing?

Mask wearing is not widespread in the UK and many people are not encouraged to wear them either.

Japan has high numbers of people doing so with fewer cases. There’s the difference.

No, that is not the only difference. There is a multitude of factors that play a role. Picking countries to "prove" one particular point is completely meaningless.

Who is just covering for their mistakes. They are just an arm of the ccp. But even they now realized they screwed up.

Lockdowns have been killing the 3rd world and causing the poor to become more poor. We don't need the who and the UN to know this. But most of you folks won't believe it until some "official" organization says it.

Any UK Government, will inevitably have to stand back and hand the outcome of this pandemic to the people.

They either social distance, wear a mask, and isolate. Ultimately their choice.

To attempt to enforce the unenforceable, will bitterly divide communities, negatively encouraging social and economic disenfranchisement. What is left is penury and impoverishment.

The people of the UK voted for the current government less than a year ago.

People must be ruled by scientists?

In matters of science, yeah. Why do you think TV presenters are more informed and know more about medicine than doctors?

Not to mention the WHO has been doing a U-turn, and finally recognizing that lockdowns hurt more than they help.

Oh, so we're listening to the WHO now. OK.

I don't know why people can't get their heads around the idea that they don't need to physically distance, but they must social distance. (sarcasm)
