Without it then we would be discussing prejudice like I mentioned above. It is definitely possible to be racist and not be white, but the power and privilege must be present. There is racism in Japan. There is racism in South Africa, but the discussion is the US.

The problem like I discussed last night is one side is using it too broadly because people don't know the differences, and the majority using a certain way doesn't mean that it is correct. The other side is using as a way to be morally blind to reality.

Clayton Bigsby is blind, and he doesn’t realize that he himself is Black. The members of the supremacist movement don't tell him because he is valuable to their movement as a speaker. When he speaks at the rally, they all cheer and support him until he removes his hood and heads start to explode. He is married to a blind white woman and when he finds out that he is black, he’s disgusted with her for marrying a black man, so he divorces her. If you can’t see that someone is a different color then you wouldn’t even know that there was a difference between you and them.

It’s how a lifelong racist like Obama could have a white man as his vice president.

Last year UniteTheRight fascists felt emboldened enough to commit a terror attack on an innocent counter-protester. After all that negative press came a name-and-shame campaign to make identify participants and make sure their employers knew what they were doing. One year later, and most of them are too scared to show up to round two.

As far as the article saying this event sputtered is  misleading. Once the organizer for the so called alt-right group heard about the other groups they told their supporters to not show up. They did this to avoid another conflict..

This entire event is a setup by the city to spark violence. The group had a permit to protest, but so did other groups at the same time. The city should be held responsible for creating a very unsafe situation for many local residents...

I'm surprised our Commander in Chief Race Baiter is not out there marching with the White Supremacists, Nazis, and the KKK - I mean he does think "some of them are very fine people...."

The Unite the Right crowd has really decreased in size this year because they don't won't to be exposed as racists. They want to keep it secret, so they use it on a regular basis in employment, education, and housing.

That BS argument that tribalism and racism are the same yesterday on JT didn't work in last year's rally, and it wouldn't work in this one because the actions last year between the two sides were greatly different fueled by an incompetent president.

BB, that is one argument, but its counterpart is demonstrated by the vastly shrunk numbers this year compared with last year - jail time tends to focus the minds of those involved.
