I grew up in that area. They get storms that are no joke, 12-48 inches in one night. The blizzard of 77' was a pretty big storm. As a kid I made snow tunnels in my backyard.

But if anyone is resilient, it is the people of Western NY.

Do you mean the Blizzard of '78? "20 below and a__ high snow". We had two feet of snow in New London, four feet in Bah-ston. The roads were officially closed in Mass but it didn't stop me from driving up from New London (if New Yawk is the a-hole of the world then New London is a hemorrhoid fifty miles up it we used to say) to Ashland (Trashland) Mass for a Steppenwolf concert. My car froze to the parking lot during the show and a stuffed it into a snow bank on the drive back, but still made it back with no apparent damage, lol. Well worth the effort to see Steppenwolf live :)

Yeah, off a year. I didn't google it, just went from my memories of being a 9 or 10 year old at the time.

No--he meant Blizzard of '77. In Buffalo,

The toll surpasses that of the historic Blizzard of 1977,
