Things are closed because Homerland security doesn’t have its massive budget for next year and several months. It’s not SAFE to look go away.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Well, we had a deal until Trump changed his mind at the last moment.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

There is little doubt that amongst large parts of the population Trump will be the most hated President in the history of the country.

Democrats, you won the house by almost 40 seats. Do not capitulate now!

Give him nothing!

17 ( +20 / -3 )

Democrats, you won the house by almost 40 seats. Do not capitulate now!

Give him nothing!

Agree but given the past 30 years you'd be unwise not to have grave doubts about their backbones.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Mexico refused to pay for Trump's imaginary wall, so he shut the government down. How mature.

17 ( +18 / -1 )

Agree but given the past 30 years you'd be unwise not to have grave doubts about their backbones.

It's true. It's a combination of being afraid politically, and also not wanting to screw the people.

We'll see what happens this time. They're in such a position of strength on this one, between Trump having previously been very clear that the responsibility for a government shutdown rests directly on the shoulders of the president, and Trump having said just last week that he would be proud to take credit for shutting down the government. They really shouldn't capitulate. But as you say, they may very well do so.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

And with people leaving the Trump administration and The ongoing “witch-hunt “ as he calls it I can see him taking a Loooooooooong vacation at mar a lago!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Still can’t understand how you can shut down a government. If it can be shut down so easy, maybe it is better for American citizens to become part of China. Never happens there.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

There is little doubt that amongst large parts of the population Trump will be the most hated President in the history of the country.

I’m not so sure about it. To liberals, I’m sure, but to a very large portion of conservatives, not really.

Democrats, you won the house by almost 40 seats. Do not capitulate now!

Give him nothing!

Don't forget, you need to deal with a Republican stronger led Senate, lol....it’s going to get fun, Democrats equally need to be careful what they wish for.

-16 ( +2 / -18 )

"Leadership: Whatever happens, you're responsible. If it doesn't happen, you're responsible." -- Donald Trump, Twitter, November 9, 2013 (4:01 a.m.)

12 ( +12 / -0 )

@bas4 it’s going to get fun,

Fun? Only for those who want to see the remaining bits of US democracy further shattered. But that's what Trumpistanians, 'Americans' (in citizenship only) and foreign', have long said they wanted,

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Fun? Only for those who want to see the remaining bits of US democracy further shattered.

So then why do the Dems need to play hardball? If they didn’t, the President didn’t have to dig in his heels. Look, I get it, neither side wants to budge, but Trump has always wanted a wall and the Dems as well until they became nutty.

But that's what Trumpistanians, 'Americans' (in citizenship only) and foreign', have long said they wanted,

Seems like a lot of liberals are happy as well, wanting their base to hold the line, so spare me.

-18 ( +1 / -19 )

In the interest of the entire country, the Democrats should help re-open the government Trump himself shut down. The should offer to budget funds for border security on an ongoing basis on the condition that Trump and Pence will both resign.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I admit, that was a bit funny.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

So then why do the Dems need to play hardball? If they didn’t, the President didn’t have to dig in his heels.

"If you say who gets fired, it always has to be the top. Problems start from the top, and they have to get solved from the top, and the president’s the leader, and he’s got to get everybody in a room, and he’s got to lead. And he doesn’t do that, he doesn’t like doing that, that’s not his strength."

"when they talk about the government shutdown, they’re going to be talking about the president of the United States, who the president was at that time. They’re not going to be talking about who was the head of the House, the head the Senate, who’s running things in Washington. So I really think the pressure is on the president."

“FACT – the reason why Americans have to worry about a government shutdown is because Obama refuses to pass a budget.”

Hmm...

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Even with everything that we have been seeing, most of which is trump’s own doing, some people will still defend him while America is going down in flames.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Keep the government shut down until we get funding for the wall and real border security. Amazing how we have trillions for foreign wars but not enough to secure our own borders.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

America burns, Trump fiddles.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

“FACT – the reason why Americans have to worry about a government shutdown is because Obama refuses to pass a budget.”

Yup!

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Trumps shutdown 3rd this year hes doing an awesome job of governing...stock market booming....Trade deals going on everywhere....peace with NK....what bout Mexico.....

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Irony is wasted on the stupid!

Asked Who 'Gets Fired' In An Obama Shutdown, Trump Told Fox News: The President

2 ( +2 / -0 )

In the end the debt ceiling is gonna get raised and guess what that means.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trumps shutdown 3rd this year

The last one was Schumer’s so two actually.

hes doing an awesome job of governing

...stock market booming....

Pretty much, by next year, we’re looking at about a solid 3% growth after the market readjust itself. I’m in it for the long haul, baby!!

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

The last one was Schumer’s so two actually.

Nope:

2 ( +2 / -0 )

...stock market booming....

Pretty much, by next year, we’re looking at about a solid 3% growth after the market readjust itself. I’m in it for the long haul, baby!!

Fiction! The DOW has lost 5% of its value this year, and this past week, it had the worst week since 1931. It had several days where it dropped over 500 points. I don't call that "booming" unless you are referring to a destructive explosion.

https://www.denverpost.com/2018/10/24/stock-market-plunges-2018-gains-wiped-out/

It's only going to get a lot worse as the budget chaos threatens to add more to an already volatile market.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

No, I disagree.

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/01/23/politics/shutdown-schumer-analysis/index.html

https://forward.com/fast-forward/366344/chuck-schumer-willing-to-shut-down-government-over-budget-fight/

“I’m amused by the Democrats apparently warming up to the idea that threatening to shut down the government is a good idea. It seems to me everybody’s got kind of memory loss on the other side,” he told reporters.

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

Question - What kind of wall is it that a 9 month pregnant woman can climb over and have the baby within an hour, and someone else put an 8 month old baby under the wall?

Another question - What does it take for Schumer to realize that we need more money for a broken border?

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

What does it take for Schumer to realize that we need more money for a broken border?

You can have the wall. It’s easy. Just get Mexico to pay for it.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

No, I disagree.

You disagree with Trump then? So you think it wasn’t Obama’s faulty then nor Trump's fault now? Or you disagree with Trump now, and it was Obama’s fault then, and it’s Trump’s fault now?

They are conflicting positions so I’m curious to see which Trump you disagree with.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

It's only going to get a lot worse as the budget chaos threatens to add more to an already volatile market.

Not really, now if you’re scared and want to sell, there are people that will do that, but I’m in it for the long haul.

The still-healthy growth rate fell from a recent high of 4.2 percent in the second quarter, but economists expect growth to continue shrinking as the stimulus from the GOP tax plan runs out. The Federal Reserve this week forecast that the economy would grow at an overall rate of 3 percent for 2018, and then decelerate to 2.3 percent next year.

My pocket book is very happy.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

Good point Strangerland.

Way back in 2013, Trump admitted that the responsibility for a shutdown is the President's. He also stated that he would fire the President for allowing a shutdown to happen. By his own admission then, Trump should be "fired". Yet, he wants to deflect all blame and say "it's the Democrats fault". Trump is not only pathetic, but a coward and traitor. A traitor who would place Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and North Korea above his own country. It wouldn't surprise me one bit, if after he leaves office, he has deals set up in these countries to further his business activities and future life.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

You disagree with Trump then?

No, with Schumer and Pelosi.

So you think it wasn’t Obama’s faulty then nor Trump's fault now?

I wasn’t talking about Obama.

They are conflicting positions so I’m curious to see which Trump you disagree with.

I’m not conflicted about the dastardly Schumer.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

Available compromises include putting up a tarp, and not having Mexico pay for it?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You disagree with Trump then?

———————————-

No, with Schumer and Pelosi.

Ok, so you agree with Trump. So do you agree with Trump when he said a shutdown is the fault of the president, meaning it’s his fault now, or do you agree with Trump when he said that it’s the fault of the other party, meaning it was the fault of the Republicans during the Obama era?

i can see you’re having troubles trying to figure out how to reconcile opposing positions, but hey, You hitched your horse to that buggy.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

What kind of wall is it that a 9 month pregnant woman can climb over and have the baby within an hour

For those people they will dig tunnels. For the rest who are able they will use ladders like they always have.

My pocket book is very happy.

Good, please donate to the wall. Any Trump voter who does not donate NOW is not a real Trump voter.

https://www.gofundme.com/TheTrumpWall

Now over 15 million dollars. They need a lot more. Come on Trump people PAY NOW! Or you are a Liberal

I wasn’t talking about Obama.

Why not. Didn't he open the flood gates of Mexican illegals?

how we have trillions for foreign wars but not enough to secure our own borders.

You can't secure a border when they have ladders

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Ok, so you agree with Trump. So do you agree with Trump when he said a shutdown is the fault of the president, meaning it’s his fault now, or do you agree with Trump when he said that it’s the fault of the other party,

I agree it’s the fault of Schumer, yes, I do.

i can see you’re having troubles

No troubles here, Strange.

Funny to watch conservatives constantly chasing their tails. ROFL! Kudos! Smh.

And liberals seem to be chasing after their.....whatever they have between their ears.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

And liberals seem to be chasing after their.....whatever they have between their ears.

That's fine, and the Mexican illegals will be chasing after ladders to climb over the wall. If the Liberal ones are the stupid ones then how come Trump voters have never heard of ladders and how they work so well in going over walls, including the Trump wall?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

This is what happened:

 1) The Senate unanimously voted to keep the government open

2) The House was ready to pass the bill

3) Rush and Fox & Friends criticized Dump

4) Dump now wants to shut down the government, putting 800,000 people out of work the week before Christmas

Worst president ever, LOL!

8 ( +8 / -0 )

 agree it’s the fault of

Trump. Proof

“If you say who gets fired it always has to be the top,” Trump responded. “Problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top. And the president’s the leader. He’s got to get everyone in a room and he’s gotta lead. But he doesn’t do that,” Trump added, referring to Obama.

(From Hannity and Friends on Fox)

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I agree it’s the fault of Schumer, yes, I do.

Ok, so you agree with now Trump, and disagree with 2013 Trump. So Trump was wrong in 2013 when he said shutdowns are the fault of the president and show the president to be weak. So Obama wasn’t in the wrong at the time, it was due to Republican obstruction. And yet you don’t condemn the Republican obstruct of the time. So by your own actions, you have justified the Democratic oppositions obstruction to the wall.

This is kind of fun. Due to your continually conflicting positions I can now take whatever answer you give, and show how by your actions the Democrats are neither in the wrong, nor at fault for the shutdown.

You probably should have not contradicted yourself so much so you don’t end up in this position.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

But on the flip side of that....

 1) The Senate unanimously voted to keep the government open

which is a good thing since 75% of the government is funded until the end of 2019

2) The House was ready to pass the bill

But there was No funding for the wall in that budget..

3) Rush and Fox & Friends criticized Dump

Unlike Democrats, like lemmings dare not fall out of line.

4) Dump now wants to shut down the government, putting 800,000 people out of work the week before Christmas

What about the other 2.9 million that will have a joyous Christmas.

Worst president ever, Lol

If he makes the left as well as the establishment, he’s doing a magnificent job.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Ok, so you agree with now Trump, and disagree with 2013 Trump.

I disagree with Schumer twice.

So Trump was wrong in 2013 when he said shutdowns are the fault of the president and show the president to be weak.

2013? This is 2018 and the wall wasn’t in play back when Schumer wanted it.

So by your own actions, you have justified the Democratic oppositions obstruction to the wall.

Not at all, I’m going by what Chucky said, he was the one that spoke out of both sides of this mouth.

This is kind of fun. Due to your continually conflicting positions I can now take whatever answer you give, and show how by your actions the Democrats are neither in the wrong, nor at fault for the shutdown.

Not really, I have been do consisted and for the life of me can’t understand why Schumer has to go back on what he originally stated and believed in and that’s a wall. Shame of the guy for purposely putting Americans in danger.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Shame of the guy for purposely putting Americans in danger.

It won't change anything. What point is the wall when the illegals can simply use ladders?

But there was No funding for the wall in that budget..

It's a waste of money. Besides, you need at least 100B to build what Trump wants (and they will still use ladders)

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"It won't change anything. What point is the wall when the illegals can simply use ladders?"

If your ladders worked so great, why did China build the Great Wall, and why is Israel's so effective, and why are the parts of the border where we do have a decent wall so effective compared to other areas?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

The debate is over. The new Congress is not going to allocate funds for a wall, and the Senate does not have the votes to support a rider introduced by a GOP congressman and attached to an unrelated bill, even a major spending bill. The wall was DOA, and it is now done and dusted. The government will re-open in January under a new Congress that will move immediately to re-open the government w/o any mention of the wall, and which will let Individual 1 veto doing so until the GOP finally understands what a liability he is. He is headed for the gallows, one way or another.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Bassfunk - why all the deflection?

I always thought of you as a person of your convictions.

The question asked of you was regarding Trumps belief that the Buck stops with the Top. He said that 5 years ago; he said last week - I'll wear it; and now he's saying it's all the Dems fault.

So what do you think about his inconsistency on this? Not Schumer, Pelosi or the cat. What do you think?

How do feel about Trump flip-flopping on this? No deflections. Just let us know. You are allowed by the "Law of Common Sense" to not always agree 100% with your beloved. It's not a show of weakness.

Trump will not survive the echos of this week. Too many of the "we're on your side" have been hurt.

Now he's barrel rolling on empty. They make the most noise.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Republicans control all of Congress and the WH. Even they do not want

the idiotic wall and many are happy to see it just fail. The Mexicans were

suppose to pay for the wall. Yet another Trump lie. Worst President ever.

But if the right wing suckers on this board want to pay for the wall here you

go. Donate your own money. If the Mexicans will not do it you can pay for the wall.

https://www.gofundme.com/TheTrumpWall

3 ( +3 / -0 )

why did China build the Great Wall

They used slaves

and why is Israel's so effective

war?

why are the parts of the border where we do have a decent wall so effective compared to other areas?

It's not enough. More wall is needed. Give your money to the wall or you are not a real Trump supporter:

https://www.gofundme.com/TheTrumpWall

1 ( +2 / -1 )

nishikat You didn't answer any of the questions, lol.

We're going to have the wall if the U.S. military has to do it. May have to close a few unneeded bases overseas.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

What do Trump supporters reply at rallies when Trump asks who's going to pay for the wall these days?

Has he just stopped saying it or does he just blame Democrats for the wall not being built and Mexico not paying for it?

Do his supporters accept that?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

You didn't answer any of the questions

You want Trump to use slaves. OK, it's cruel but your opinion. That's how China did it. Do you know how many dead bodies they buried under China's wall? That's how and why it was built. And we are at war with Mexico? If so then Mexican terrorists will just take a boat around the water then land on the water with their suicide vests. It cannot be stopped. Mexican terrorists will keep terrorizing the US with or without the wall. We need to attack and bomb Mexico and NOT just stop the Mexican terrorists. Remember we attacked Afghanistan and Iraq? In Trump and his supporters' eyes Mexico is more dangerous than the two of those countries put together.

and why are the parts of the border where we do have a decent wall so effective compared to other areas?

See above (going by boat). Or the Mexican terrorists can just go along the wall until there is a part (remember, 2,000 miles long and all of it cannot be watched) then use a ladder to climb over it once the coast is clear.

if the U.S. military has to do it.

Please elaborate on this. How exactly is the military going to build the wall? Even if they do the Mexican terrorists will still go over it (or around it by boat).

May have to close a few unneeded bases overseas.

Is this being run through Washington DC? Please do tell.

Did you donate money to Trump's wall? No? Then you need to go here and give?

https://www.gofundme.com/TheTrumpWall

Anyone who does not open their wallets and give all they can (forget Xmas presents for the grandkids- Mexicans are destroying the USA) is a Liberal

GIVE NOW!!!!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

How about this....

Do you support a border wall between the US and Canada? The cost will be $100 billion.

Answer YES if you believe in border security, making our country safe, and stopping terrorists from just walking in. Besides, we cannot be a real nation unless we have actual borders.

Answer NO if you support open borders and letting just anyone waltz in.

That's how your argument sounds to us. No third option for, "No, because it's stupid."

2 ( +3 / -1 )

So they can't buy toilet paper at the welfare office for a few weeks.

Big deal.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump will get his wall. It's needed; the Democrats so declared years before Trump to pander to the electorate. Look it up.

Then, we'll figure out how many of those "non-essential" 300,000 Federal employees are deep-staters working against the American people; perhaps a redundancy of at least 10 percent should be retrenched. Savings of $$billions.

Brilliant move, Mr. President. Two birds with one stone.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Super: "Do you support a border wall between the US and Canada?"

How about this... Canada is not Mexico. We don't have a constant stream of illegals coming in from Canada.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

And liberals seem to be chasing after their.....whatever they have between their ears.

You are literally making fun of people for thinking here. HAR! LOL! Smh. Oh my . . .

https://youtu.be/R73YDGzWcOk

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Serrano: How about this... Canada is not Mexico. We don't have a constant stream of illegals coming in from Canada.

So we have one vote for open borders.

Next?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

So what do you think about his inconsistency on this? Not Schumer, Pelosi or the cat. What do you think?

I already gave my answer.

How do feel about Trump flip-flopping on this? No deflections.

All politicians flop, it goes with the territory. I’m so used to it. I’m pretty much desensitized to it.

Just let us know. You are allowed by the "Law of Common Sense" to not always agree 100% with your beloved. It's not a show of weakness.

Thank you and for the record, I don’t always agree and definitely not afraid of showing my soft side.

Trump will not survive the echos of this week. Too many of the "we're on your side" have been hurt.

He’ll be fine next week once the establishment calms down again.

Now he's barrel rolling on empty. They make the most noise

Ahhh....uh, ok

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Thanks for your reply Bassfunk.

Sorry - I didn't catch the inconsistency answer. Could you please point me to it.

I asked how you feel about Trump's flopping. Not all other politicians. How do you feel about Trump flopping on this issue? You know - an answer to the question.

And re Trump next week - well I guess we'll just have to wait. He may be suffering from "I gotta get outa Washington" syndrome, seeing he's cancelled his Florida Frolic.

And I'm glad we agree on one thing - Trump's noisy barrel rolling. Good.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I asked how you feel about Trump's flopping.

Not all other politicians. How do you feel about Trump flopping on this issue? You know - an answer to the question.

A “fish” out of a school of fishes is still a fish.

And re Trump next week - well I guess we'll just have to wait. He may be suffering from "I gotta get outa Washington" syndrome, seeing he's cancelled his Florida Frolic.

Is that as bad as liberals suffering from TDS?

And I'm glad we agree on one thing - Trump's noisy barrel rolling. Good.

Hmmmm...I never said No such thing.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Another MISERABLE Christmas for Americans -- particularly federal employees and Chevrolet employees, plus all the people working part-time jobs that do not pay a liveable wage. How much WORSE will 2019 be?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

bass4funk: I don’t always agree

I can verify this. When the tariffs were announced on China, bass said that Trump must have gotten some seriously bad advice. And his position on Syria is that the US should invade and remove Assad. He also disagrees with Trump on Mattis leaving, saying Mattis was the one thing that made him comfortable amid Trump's erratic foreign policy.

So no, he doesn't agree with Trump on everything.

As for the wall, Trump would probably be safe if he folded. What's his base going to do, vote for Romney? heh I think this is about him enduring Fox & Friends the next day, something he certainly does not want to go through. His skin is too thin.

Our best bet is to have him sign the bipartisan bill and keep him away from TV for 72 hours.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I can verify this. When the tariffs were announced on China, bass said that Trump must have gotten some seriously bad advice.

No, I thought it was a good idea, I never liked a trade war, but since China has been hacking and stealing our intellectual property, I thought it might be a good idea.

And his position on Syria is that the US should invade and remove Assad.

Since the previous President was too chicken to do so.

He also disagrees with Trump on Mattis leaving, saying Mattis was the one thing that made him comfortable amid Trump's erratic foreign policy.

I never said that.

So no, he doesn't agree with Trump on everything.

Thats right.

As for the wall, Trump would probably be safe if he folded.

I disagree, I think he should hold the line.

What's his base going to do, vote for Romney? heh I think this is about him enduring Fox & Friends the next day, something he certainly does not want to go through. His skin is too thin.

What?

Our best bet is to have him sign the bipartisan bill and keep him away from TV for 72 hours.

From the looks of it, that shutdown will be on for a very long while, pull up a chair.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

A “fish” out of a school of fishes is still a fish.

Fishes?

Youre still refusing to criticize Trump. You simply can't bring yourself to do it.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Perhaps President Trump's signing the bipartisan First Step Act was a bit too much for Rush Limbaugh, et al.

A wall has a way of keeping people in as well as keeping people out.

Happy Holidays!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I disagree with Schumer twice.

Ok, so you agree with Trump twice - once when he claimed that the responsibility for a shut down is the president's fault, and then when he claimed it's not.

Unfortunately, you have twisted yourself into an opposing situation here, by claiming to support to diametrically opposed positions.

So you've used mental gymnastics to determine Trump is correct even when he contradicts himself.

All this really does is clearly display your inability form a logical argument, and that your only metric by which what you consider to be the truth of an argument is whether or not Team Red can gain a point. It shows you are unable to actually form a non-partisan logical argument, and that your posts are therefore not based in logic and reality, but exclusively in hyper-partisanship.

Which also clearly expresses to people who don't know if you have any credibility or not, that you clearly do do not. I mean, you have made clear that you think the 2013 shutdown was purely the fault of the president, because the president is responsible for shutdowns, except that the December 2018 shutdown is not the responsibility of the president since the president is Trump.

Pathetic, disgusting and let's be frank, treasonous, hyper-partisanship. This makes it clear that you have no interest in the best future of America. Your only interest is in making sure your team wins, regardless of how anti-American their stance is.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Mexico refused to give Trump the money he wants, the US Congress refused to give Trump the money he wants, so, to show them all that he means business, he will put almost a million Americans out of work. Yessirree, that will show them!

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Obama had 18 day shutdown, Clinton a 24 day shutdown, politics as usual except the Trump actually wants to deliver on a campaign promise to voters who are tired of being victims of alien criminals. Want a list! Mollie Tibbets is the latest, her disappearance was big news until a Mexican illegal confessed to killing her, now buried by the media.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

I’m still having troubles understanding why this is so difficult. Just get Mexico to pay for the wall. Why isn’t trump doing that?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

"Work without pay" really means work and get paid for it later, no employee has ever missed out on any pay in the many previous government shutdowns. Federal employees average double the pay of private sector workers (with benefits), they are not staying home just because the paycheck will be delayed.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Obama had 18 day shutdown, Clinton a 24 day shutdown,

The difference being that they didn't shut the government down.

So in fact the Clinton shutdown and the Obama shutdown were caused by Republicans, and the current shutdown is caused by a Republican president. You even have his word for it; he's mentioned a shutdown frequently this year (as in a May tweet: "Our country needs a good 'shutdown' in September to fix mess!"), and most directly, with an actual shutdown looming, when he said "I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down" a couple of weeks ago.

The pattern in these shutdowns isRepublican intransigencer. And neither Clinton nor Obama did anything remotely similar to this stunt by Trump.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Trump actually wants to deliver on a campaign promise to voters who are tired of being victims of alien criminals.

He should deliver on that campaign promise. By the rules of the law, he is the rightful president. He should also be given the means to deliver on his campaign promise as well.

So tell us, what will it take to get Mexico to pay for that wall? What do you guys need?

Ok, so you agree with Trump twice - once when he claimed that the responsibility for a shut down is the president's fault, and then when he claimed it's not.

No, I agree Schumer doesn’t care about the border or DACA.

Unfortunately, you have twisted yourself into an opposing situation here, by claiming to support to diametrically opposed positions.

I don’t think so.

So you've used mental gymnastics to determine Trump is correct even when he contradicts himself.

What?

Pathetic, disgusting and let's be frank, treasonous, hyper-partisanship.

treasonous now, eh? Interesting.

This makes it clear that you have no interest in the best future of America. Your only interest is in making sure your team wins, regardless of how anti-American their stance is.

Actually, I worry about my country, that’s why as an American citizen very pro, very 2nd amendment and who has the right to vote in the US and who is very active politically is very concerned about the nation. I see what California in New York have become and it scares me to death, I see how the Washington establishment could care less about the nation, and I see how Democrats with their pathetic identity politics and socialist agenda are trying their best to force feed and push people and feverishly working day and night to erode the country and its democracy. Trump may not be perfect, but it is extremely refreshing to have an outside or come in and do whatever he can to crush the establishment. So my team is America and I’m not beholden to the globalists of Silicone Valley or the progressive open doors people. For me, America comes first before any other nation, I’m not a globalist and proud of it.

Shut the American government down until Mexico pays for Trump's wall!

There is little doubt that amongst large parts of the population Trump will be the most hated President in the history of the country.

Life seems that way in an echo chamber.

Though to be fair, he is very much hated by progressives. But that's only because he's a caricature of a typical American, and progressives hate traditional America and anything that stands in the way of them destroying it, I mean, progress.

Merry Christmas!

bassfunk - thanks for your reply

I said - "....And I'm glad we agree on one thing - Trump's noisy barrel rolling. Good."

You said - " Hmmmm...I never said No such thing."

I'm not sure if your double negative means "yes" or is just a typo, but you did say "...OK" in your previous post. I usually understand "OK" to be an affirmation - a "yes" if you like - in such contexts.

But anyway, regardless of Trumps future intentions for America, I hope you have a nice xmas and good 2019.
