Just tell the Russian troops defending it that there are unattended washing machines in the next village over. Wait an hour, then take the village unopposed. Then go over to the next village and repeat.
Quite simple really.

How do you “take back” pro-Russian villages without genocide?
Haaa Nemui
Well they better enjoy it while it lasts, because it's meant to be pretty hot where they're going.

Oh they’ll stop sooner or later - when they run out of schools, hospitals, railway stations & apartment buildings to target

Putin: “If we pretend we didn’t want any of their territory at all, we can use this excuse no matter how badly we do.” (Taps side of head with finger).

The Putin apologists have been reduced to bragging that cold weather will benefit the broken Russian army as it retreats to Moscow.
Pathetic.

Gonna hold you to this, Mr. K!

Sorry to burst the Ukraine bubble, but the high profile gains in territory, though impressive, have not won back a single cm2 of area that Russia intends to keep.
In fact, if at the start of the war, Putin concentrated all of his forces in the Donbas; conquered it and dug in, I think he would have been relatively successful.
He now has a fraction of the forces and equipment trying to defend a bigger chunk of Ukraine.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Putin will keep all that he can. Another of his aims was to take Odesa to block off the Black Sea from Ukraine. Putin was also organizing a referendum (another fake one) in Kherson on joining Russia.

& I’m sure we won’t hear from you then

Ukraine has elephants, I did not know that.
I know everything about asbestos. I was trained and worked in a lab. I supervised the removal of deadly blue asbestos.
The Russians are the ones bombing civilian buildings including apartments, theaters, schools, and hospitals.
The abestos was Russian abestos. Mostly white asbestos.
Takes more than 20 years to kill you. Slow, very slow and painful.

Factually dubious at best. Russia has already stated that “there is no Ukrainian state.” They’ve also said that their goals are well beyond the Donbas region.
Every cm the Russians are sitting on is a cm they intend to keep.
Fortunately, that’s fewer cm than it used to be.

Hundreds of bodies are in mass graves. More than 10 Russian torture chambers were discovered.
Discovery by Ukrainian authorities of about 450 graves outside the formerly Russian-occupied city of Izyum.
"Prosecutors in the Kharkiv region said, in an online statement, that they had found a basement where Russian forces allegedly tortured prisoners in the village of Kozacha Lopan, near the border with Russia, Associated Press reports."
Russian chambers containing 'tools for electric torture' were found in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.

Not so friendly, the Ukrainian resistance keeps blowing them up. Isolated with their supply lines cut, under continuous attack, unable to replace lost men and material, already unable to supply food or water, yep they are going to be very comfortable. As to non stop artillery, a bit difficult when you have fired your last shell and along with the food and water there is no more coming.
Comfortably dug in, they have dug their own graves unless they desert or surrender.
Mr Kipling
Sorry to burst the Ukraine bubble, but the high profile gains in territory, though impressive, have not won back a single cm2 of area that Russia intends to keep. During the past two weeks and Ukraine's success, they have actually lost more ground in the Dombas. Now, if they start taking and keeping territory there we will have a different conversation.

Yesterday I also saw a report that Putin is afraid Ukraine will attack towns and cities inside Russia.
They are actually attacking military targets in those border cities, but they are just not claiming that they did it.

You are even more optimistic than the Kremlin. After they realized that nobody was buying this story, they've shifted to trying to offload the blame for this disaster onto anyone and everyone not named Putin.
I think it's more likely that Putin's forces are in a precarious position, after failing to take 80% of Ukraine. They are certainly not going to be "comfortable" or anywhere close to it. Probably running out of supplies to loot, so winter will be rough.
tooheysnew
the compromise is they can live peacefully in Ukraine (as they did before 2014) or they can leave.
there’s plenty of accommodation in Russia for them.
The Avenger
I wish the very best for Ukraine. If ever there was an avoidable war this one tops the list. The big question is what to do about the Ukrainian separatists. Somehow accommodation and compromise will need to be achieved to get a lasting peace.
tooheysnew
this is exactly what Putin wants - for Ukraine to attack Russian cities. This would enable him to say ‘I told you so’ & justify his invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine, however, is smarter than that.

Yeah, and they are now using S-300 ground-to-air missiles for ground to ground operations. "non-stop artillery", yeah, right!
Haaa Nemui
Friendly territory? The areas already taken back by Ukraine, some of them were supposed to be friendly too… we’re already finding out the truth about that though.
They’ve got so much “non-stop artillery” that they’ve kindly given a lot to be used against them. Wonderful goodwill gesture.

Zelensky announced a second upcoming offensive.
Mariupol, Melitopol, Cherson and also towns on the Crimea will be free from the Russian mass murdering invaders.

What's botched about it? they have the Russian troops trapped, so there is no rush. They need to keep fighting to ensure the Russians use up supplies, that they will have a hard time replenishing.
Yeah, right. So the Russians with limited supplies trapped on an effective island are going to wear down the Ukrainians?
With winter coming, I'd much rather be in the Ukrainian position in that area.
As the invading army, it is the Russians that will suffer the same fate.

I’m glad my tax dollars are going to help the Ukraine!!!

After failing to take Kherson in a botched offensive, Zelensky's forces are in a precarious situation.
They've proven incapable of breaking through defensive lines and are not openly exposed to artillery.
The Russians are comfortably dug in, in friendly territory and their best friend, winter, is coming.
The Russians will use the cold and non-stop artillery to wear down their opposition.
Hitler and Napolean suffered the same fate.
