ROFL! Even you don’t believe that. But good one, too funny! Liberals seem to forget that maybe, just maybe it’s better to give updates and not talk too much about something we don’t know about? The more liberals bleed out their crazy hypothetical theories, the more panic they create.

Supreme leader Trump muzzling and censoring just like Vlad and Xi

Do you have proof, share it with us.
Watch the liberals, they take nonsense to a whole new level.
lincolnman
Nope, they're muzzled, censored, and threatened...
Reasonable nonsense?
Wearing a big scarlet "I"...
Yep, talking more nonsense...
So, as Rush said, is it the same as a "common cold"?

Disconnect is putting it mildly...
On the one hand you have career professionals who are experts in their fields...
And on the other you have someone who can't string two grammatically correct sentences together, forgets where his father was born, and who's staff thinks he has the "understanding of a fifth grader"...
Yet, his insecurity means he has to have his orange face in front of the camera....
Pathetic and pitiful...
bass4funk
No, because he lets these people talk and talk and talk....
Nonesense, Trump only said, his people are watching it and you never know, could get better, but it could also change.
Seems reasonable to me.
Yup, he’s the President.
He’s just talking....as we all know...
Also in this political climate, we don’t need political pundits creating mass hysteria and attacking the President and politicizing this serious issue.

Essentially Trump feels threatened by "experts".
He has little time for academia and those thousands of truly intelligent people who have mastered in their fields.
It doesn't matter what the subject is.
To maintain his sense of control over the discussions, esp those way out of his league, he has to have the last word, as if his comments are offering the final legitimacy on the topic.
As a self-proclaimed genius who uses the oft repeated " I know more about X than anyone else", he displays an incredible inferiority complex with which he tries to camouflage with his puffed-superiority demeanor.
In this very serious global health crisis, no one would think ill of a political leader who acted in deference to the medical experts.
But not Trump.
Strangerland
Very tough. Politics or reality... politics or reality... hmm...
SuperLib
You mean should I believe the pathological liar or scientists? Tough choice.

I agree.
Or maybe Trump, disconnected from reality as he always is, just thinks he's immune as Potus. But before the virus "goes down", we'll no doubt get to see Donnie don an orange face mask.

And then back in the world where anything anti-Trump isn't 'fake news':
The virus that we’re talking about having to do, a lot of people think that goes away in April, with the heat, as the heat comes in, typically that will go away in April,” he said. Referring to the United States, he added: “We’re in great shape, though. We have 12 cases, 11 cases, and many of them are in good shape now.”

Countries. To certain countries. Correction.

Once again, the media are bending and twisting what he said, in what seems to be a blatant attempt to misrepresent it.
Here's what Trump actually said, in response to a reporter's question about the possibility of closing schools:
*"I haven’t spoken specifically about that with the various doctors, but I would think so, yes. I think every aspect of our society should be prepared. I don’t think it’s going to come to that, especially with the fact that we’re going down, not up. We’re going very substantially down not up, but yeah, I think school should be preparing, and get ready just in case. The words are just in case. We don’t think we’re going to be there, we don’t think we’re going to be anywhere close, and again, if you look at some countries, they are coming down, it’s starting to go in the other direction."*
So when he spoke of cases "going down," he was referring not to the U.S. specifically, but to certain cases. And he's right: in at least some countries, the rate of new cases IS going down. The rate of spread IS starting to decrease.
Am I a big fan of Trump? Not always. But I am a big fan of media ethics and honesty in the press.
I'm a big fan of the media actually being objective, as opposed to just pretending to be objective while in reality they play the part of a certain party's operatives.
And far too many times since Trump became president, the media's treatment of him has been blatantly dishonest. It's one thing if they don't like him. But lying about him is quite another thing.
JenniSchiebel
The coronavirus is the most likely possible cause for a major economic downturn this year.
And such a downturn is what Trump's opponents need to happen in order to have any hope of unseating him in November.
So I guess they'll just have to keep their fingers crossed.
bass4funk
I agree.

I'm going to give kudos to Trump for being willing to meet with so many people. Most germaphobes would avoid contact with 'others' of any sort knowing those 'others' might cough in their presence. For those who only believe what 'little old Russia' and its approved media report, here's this:

This epidemic may be a plague that kills millions and cripples the known world for years. Meanwhile Trump Republicans have led our nation into the gutter. They waste our time with their castles of lies and distortions and unconstitutional schemes. The truth is so foreign to them they consider it to be an insult. The corruption of the Trump Republican cabal may yet be rewarded with a perdition that destroys more than just the Republican Party, they are playing Russian roulette with the fate of our entire nation.
stormcrow
Trump always has to sound like he knows more than the experts even though he comes across as boneheadedly wrong in the process.
Pukey2
I think, in general, there's a disconnect between Trump and reality.
u_s__reamer
The millions of Trump-believers must feel assured and safe from the virus as long as their dullard leader has his little sharpie.
ulysses
There is a general disconnect between Donny and reality.
When that disconnect affects the safety of people it becomes serious.
timeon
The title should read "a disconnect between Trump and any experts on any topic"
Strangerland
Trump is acting more like China, trying to pretend there isn’t really a problem, than an effective leader trying to actually deal with the problem.
I think he’s afraid. This is killing the stock market, which he’s artificially propped up for his term. It’s his only campaign point. He’s worried that if the economy goes into recession, he loses the one thing his supporters claim justifies everything else he does.
That’s scary. Leaders who face the problem are required in a situation like this, not ones who are trying to hide the problem.
Paul Laimal-Convoy
Considering Trump bullied the NWS with regards to his lies regarding the weather (which people can actually check and see with their own eyes), I'm not surprised he is lying and spreading misinformation about the Coronavirus.

'Shading': polite way of saying 'has no clue what the truth is; will say anything that helps him; may not even know what truth means'.
Hats off to the scientists willing to look for the truths behind this virus, and especially to those willing to put their careers on the line standing up to the authoritarian wannabe and his lackeys.
Maria
He's just making things up, lying through his teeth, and spreading harmful misinformation. Dangerous.

Donnie fiasco talking out of his chocolate starfish as ever.
