Important to recognize that russia will not be on the right bank of the Dnipro without finding a new level of casualties for its conscripts.

An apparent Russian artillery strike hit a market in the southern Ukraine city of Kherson on Tuesday, killing at least six people and wounding three others, authorities said, on a morning when Ukrainians across the country were observing a minute’s silence for their military and war dead.

More war criming by Russia.

The hilltop Donetsk town of Vuhledar, an important Ukrainian stronghold for the past two years and part of a belt of strategic garrisons, appears to be on the brink of falling into Russian hands.

Vuhledar was massively fortified hilltop that was thought to be impenetrable.

The resolve and determination of the Russian foot soldiers on the ground is unbelievable.

Russia is winning this, town by town.

Already in RFAF hands - Pacific Marines raised the white, blue and red long ago, from the citadel there. The 72 brigade largely exists on paper now. To be precise, this happened some time ago but hey.

Name has been restored to the original Ugledar. Means the Russian logistic corridors in South Donetsk/land bridge including the old rail line is out of artillery range.

The resolve and determination of the Russian foot soldiers on the ground is unbelievable.

After 2 years 100's of tanks 1000's of troops, probably one of the most expensive cities to take in terms of Russian losses.

This is why Russia is currently losing 1,400 troops / day.

Name has been restored to the original Ugledar.

No, it hasn't.

The Donbass doesn't want to part of Ukraine; particularly a Kyiv-ruled government.

They once contributed 50% of GDP to Kiev but were abused by the above/former.

One would think it'd sink in by now.

No they weren't.

Wrong. They are shot or imprisoned and tortured if they refuse meat-wave attacks. They are forced to die. Over a thousand casualties every day.

Yes, their ability to turn into red mist is unbelievable.

Russia is winning this, town by town.

and from the article…

”The strike happened as shoppers made their way between stalls at the city center market…”

It says a lot about you, and Putin, when you publicly declare that after three years of a three day invasion the strategy to win is to move from town to town killing civilians by bombing schools, hospitals, and markets when the largest possible number of civilians will be present!

Vuhledar also represents the south hinge of the South Donetsk sector - look at a map. RFAF are pushing on several fronts to establish a line north of there, which means a line between Kurakhove-Selydove, to squash the pocket on the south flank with the eventual obvious objective on the north point of the line - Pokrovsk, which will straighten the front and assist on moving on the latter.

For the moment they have seized the former while pushing on the above two. The latter of those two is being skirted from the south in some rapid advances now.

Incidents like this on both sides are a reason this war needs to stop. Both sides need to come to a negotiating table. If Trump becomes POTUS in November this will likely happen fast, if Harris wins it will no doubt take longer but hopefully she will come around to the side of peace too.
