It is a war conference, not a peace conference, attended only by the parties who support this unnecessary war. Fact is, the war ends the moment the US stops funding it. At that time, a negotiated settlement is possible (as they already had in Istanbul, before Boris Johnson torpedoed it. Read the what the Ukrainian negotiators said at the time.

The Istanbul canard is easily disproven as Russia held even more territory than they do now and Putin isn't satisfied with anything less than surrender.
