I always supported Israel..
It's OK to put an end to Hamas terrorists..
But now It's very difficult to be able to support Israel when these things happen..

Hamas launched an attack on innocent women and children! Without provocation!
War is hell!
The Arabs in Gaza are paying the price for supporting Hamas!! You support murderous terrorists, you pay the price!!

CBC, BBC, CNN all have been pointing out the killings of Palestinians long before Hamas attack on October 7th
2009 to October 7th over 6000 killed not counting those killed by illegal settlers in the West Bank.
Israeli settlers had killed over 600 Palestinians in the West Bank before October 7th and the IDF stops the Palestinian authority from investigating and lets the settlers take more land.
Is that same time fewer than 400 Israelis were kill between 2009 and October 7th.
Seems the Palestinians got tired of being killed with any Justice.

More wholesale murder by Israel, eh?
You don't get it mate. Hamas is Palestinian. Hamas is the Palestinians who are tired of the oppression, killing, imprisonment literally and figuratively they have suffered through decades at the hands of the Israelis. Israel is the architect of Hamas - it's their own little monster.
If you and your family and community were repressed, killed, abused for decades, what would you do? Would you just sit on your hands?
zibala
Absolutely,
The Arabs in Gaza knew what they were getting when they elected Hamas as their governing body, and they know what they have now as they continually support Hamas.
No mercy from Israel, as it complies with international law and minimizes civilian casualties,

If you don't support murderous terrorists you pay the price too. The IDF and IAF don't discriminate.

Hamas is targeting IDF troops while Israel is Targeting everyone Fighters, Women, children, Premature babies, even Pregnant Women on their way to give birth at a hospital in north Gaza.
Israel is Dropping a U.S provided 2000 pound unguided bomb on targets in Gaza resulting massive casualties and destruction while it's leaders Claim they are doing all they can to avoid civilians!!?
How much more HYPOCRATE can you get.

“The war exacts a very heavy price from us, but we have no choice but to continue fighting,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.""
Wrong, You do have a choice when you are killing more civilians that fighters at the ratio of 1 to 1,000.
Mr. Netanyahu if fighting for his OWN survival and could care less about the death toll on either side.

Half of the population are minors, this is a terribly inhumane way of thinking.

The IDF commander in Northern Gaza said the war could take years
Years?
No Palestinians will be left alive in Gaza.

To anyone who has taken the time and trouble to open any history book not written by Zionists, what stands out is the uncanny familiarity of the tactics and accompanying playbook of Hamasplaining and propaganda that Israeli Jews are using today to justify used the mass murder of thousands of babies, children, women and men. Even the improbable Israeli narrated horror-movie script describing the Hamas attack of October 7 is an exact replay of the terrorist attack on the Arab village of Neir Yassin in 1948, a bloody massacre that struck terror into the hearts of Arabs living in their ancestral towns and villages and started the Nakba, the "Trail of Tears" of Palestinian Arabs who continue to suffer the consequences of an injustice only the inhumane geopolitics of oil and money can explain.

Some people even still believe it's self defense where it more look like genocide.
Gaza strip population is dense 2 million people live there, there's a reason why is being called strip. It only has wide 6 to 12 km (3.7 to 7.5 mile). 2 million people being cornered in that strip. When 20 thousands people already killed, including babies, children and women, it's already 1% population. Even war in Ukraine wasn't cost live that much and all international help are involved. While in Gaza the number already passed 1% population and the killing still continue.

Tokyo Living,
well said. Couldn’t agree more. I want to support Israel. At this point, I just can’t…
they are going too far.
im listening to traditional carols now out of respect for the day, but for all intents and purposes we cancelled “celebration” this year. No tree, no presents, no merry making. There is simply nothing to celebrate right now. The Nativity in Manger Square says it all. I can’t celebrate while they mourn in Bethlehem.

The situation on the ground is analogous to Stalingrad according to a US army veteran.

look at the state of Gaza right now, zones2surf. Hamas is still in charge with the utter devastation the IDF has brought to Gaza. You really think Gazan civilians could have risen up and got rid of Hamas? Seriously?

Same happened during Yugoslav Wars between 1991-2001, sniper were used to target civilians just to add psychological effect to ongoing genocide. Imagine you walk with your loved ones, spouse, kids or family members. Suddenly next second that person next to you already lifeless or die in real pain.

Israeli soldiers are basically shooting at anyone regardless, they are killing anyone who dares to step outside of a destroyed building, school, church, mosque, or homes.
You move and your are killed.

Give the Palestinians the means to defend themselves and watch how Quickly Israel wants to have a Ceasefire.

Without provocation? That's some very serious mental editing you're doing there. Let's just scrap all history and context when it doesn't suit our needs shall we?
May I point you in the direction of Menachim Begin and Yitzhak Shamir. 2 Israeli terrorists who played key roles in the Stern gang and were wanted internationally. Then there's Ariel Sharon who served in Unit 101 which carried out countless massacres, atrocities and war crimes. All of them elected Israeli Prime Ministers.

The "very heavy price" they refer to is almost certainly the Golani Brigade which has been withdrawn due heavy casualties.
Among other things, a pockmarked humvee was shown on SM with pools of blood on the floor in all passenger compartments.

they are going too far.
They have been going too far in Gaza before and, especially, since October 8. All the world is aware by now that ole Grampa Biden in Washington has been supplying all their weapons of mass destruction without which tens of thousands of Arabs would still be alive to greet the New Year. Unbelievably, the psycho Netanyahu is making Putin look like a pudgy Santa Claus.

That region is a hot mess because of actions taken that never should have been after WW2. Understandably the Jewish people wanted a place to call their own after the horrors of the Holocaust but in fact there had been a back to Israel movement in the 19th and 20th centuries preceding that.
As part of its reparations, Germany should have been made to provide one of its former colonies to those Jewish people - with the consent of the people living there. The wealthy Jewish Americans and other successful Jewish people who luckily made their lives in other countries before the Nazi's rise to power in Germany would have assisted.
Hamas and their militias are not necessarily ethnically Palestinian - there are mixed ethnicities in Gaza and the West Bank. In fact as Islam is a latecomer religion compared to Judaism and Christianity, the irony is many Palestinians are actually of Jewish ethnicity originally and converted either freely to Islam or were forced to centuries ago. Hamas was voted in because they were very organised and looked as if they were going to be different from the corrupted Fatah opposition.
When they showed their theocratic extremism as a government that hangs people from cranes in front of Palestinian children - and that's only one of the outrages they have perpetrated - it seems that the Israeli Govt wasn't too worried as their objective was to keep the conflict between Hamas and Fatah going so as to prevent a unified Palestinian state.

Could not both Hamas and IDF agreed a ceasefire for Christmas day?
Allow Santa to deliver essential emergency humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Clearly not, you see good will, peace on earth, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, was muffled, silenced on the 7th October.
